Values Magazine Cover

Create a magazine cover which reflects both your personal and work values.

Your magazine must have:

a. An appropriate magazine title depicting your life in 1-2 words.

b. 5 article teasers that reflect your personal or work values.

c. A top ten list on one of your values.

d. A picture or graphic that reflects your magazine title, theme or issue

e. A bar code

f. Date of Issue – December, 200_

g. Price of magazine ($1.99 - $4.99)

h. Web site of magazine.

Explanation

Explain why you choose the title of your magazine cover. For each magazine teaser and your top-ten list write a short explanation about how your personal and work values relate to them.

You will be graded on your overall professional appearance of the magazine cover, your grammar/spelling and your explanation of your values.

Suggestions

• State your top ten values from the activities done in class, then look at magazine covers to get ideas about how to write teasers.
  Hint: There are many magazines in the Library or on the Internet.
• Use Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word. – Use separate text boxes for each teaser. (To get rid of lines of text boxes in Microsoft Word – right click box and choose format AutoShape – Lines – Colour – No colour)
