Hello all!

Phew, I dont know about you, but those midterms have been hitting hard...God's strength and mercy is really being used in our weakness! Last week we were blessed to recieve a word about submission and forgiveness from Winsome Wu. Can you relate to Moses, who, when God called him to be used in big ways, started to question his own worth based on past failures? Many of us are prone to fall into a state of guilt or self-pity when sin is recognized in our lives. Past failures make us feel worthless, make us question our identity and even God's. As we can see from the example of Moses though, as hard as it is for us to understand, God only wishes for us to long to be with Him! He promises to give us His presence, and to demonstrate His power through us. No matter how much or how many excuses we may make, no matter how ugly and sinful our past (even 5 minutes ago), God desires for us to desire being with Him! Is God asking you to leave the past behind to live with and for Him NOW?
This week come join us for fellowship with Prayer and Worship night! We will be meeting on THURSDAY at 7 pm in Everson 176! Don't forget, this week we've moved to THURSDAY. See you there!

• SPEAKER DINNER
  No speaker dinner this week, sorry y'alls...see you at fellowship though!

• AFTER-FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITY
  Come join others for some after-fellowship fellowship! This week's activity will be going to marble slab to grab ice cream and chill out together! For those of you in Phenomenon Skit or Dance comittee, y'all will be having a meeting time after fellowship. For more info, just stick around after large group!
  
  
  

• T-SHIRTS
  As per every year, it's time to design and create our AACF t-shirt for 2002-2003! Start putting on those creative caps and submit your ideas to any core person when you get the chance! Designs should include aacf@ucdavis, the year, the theme, and theme verse somewhere. We will be collecting design ideas and voting on them over the next few weeks!

• PHENOMENON
  WHAT IS PHENOMENON? you may ask. it is an outreach event that AACF has been putting on for a couple of years now. the purpose is to bring OUR FRIENDS and those who God has placed in our lives to ask them to come out to this event, and let God do the rest. the night will consist mainly of SKIT, DANCE, and a MESSAGE. in the past we have had some AWESOME messages, and we know God will provide us with yet another one. Want to be a part of this awesome opportunity? Then come out this THURSDAY, Feb. 6th, 2003 @ 6:30 (hopefully ending at 8:15ish) at Fountain Circle Lounge. Want more info? A ride? • LEADERSHIP INTEREST FORMS
  Do you have a passion for a ministry in AACF? Do you feel the possible tugging of God on your heart to step up and serve in come capacity next year? Leadership interest forms will be coming out in a couple of weeks, so please keep it in your prayers if you feel God calling you to ministry (or maybe even if right now you don't)! If you have any questions about interest forms or the leadership, feel free to contact a core person (see above!)

• WELCOME TABLE
  Want to help welcome newcomers and regulars alike with a big smile? SNL is looking for anyone who wants to help out at the welcome table during large group. Everyone is welcome to help, just give SNL an email @ aacf_snl@yahoo.com.

• CHURCH
  We encourage everyone to attend a church on Sundays, and would love to help you check out UCC in particular! For those of you who already attend, we encourage you to check out COLLEGE CLASS. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn and meet students from different fellowships. If you are looking for a ride, there are dorm shuttle pick-ups from the UCC van (call the office at 756-3923 for info) in the mornings as well as ridesharing organized by SNL.
