Quiet hours

The UCHA maintains quiet hours during the week. Violation of this maybe grounds for a fine and/or expulsion:

Monday - Friday

12 am - 10 am

Saturday - Sunday

2 am - 10 am

(Quiet hours must be observed all day during 10th week and finals week.)

 

Exceptions to the policy will only be made during UCHA sponsored events (i.e. those events organized by the social crew), or for events organized with special permission of the Executive Director or the UCHA Board of Directors.

Notice

Forty-eight hours notice is required for any mandatory house meeting.  This shall be posted on the official bulletin board.  Any member who does not attend or does not give Mem-Com 24 hours notification of a reasonable excuse why they cannot attend is subject to a fine.

Co-opers desiring to host a party with more than 15 participants on UCHA premises (excluding memberÕs rooms) are required to complete the official Party Approval Form available at the Executive DirectorÕs office. Co-opersÕ who fail to submit the form, will be subject to a maximum fine of $100.00 and or expulsion.

Parties will only be open to co-opers and their guests; parties will not be advertised to the community at large. Any exceptions must be approved by the Executive Director.

Smoking policy

Smoking is not permitted in any of the indoor public spaces on UCHA property.  This includes the HHH atrium and all corridors and stairwells in HHH and the A wing lounge. This does not include the external up stair corridors in Essene.  Persons may smoke in their rooms unless objected to by their roommates and/or hall mates or members within reasonable proximity.

Pets

Animals or pets of any type are not permitted on UCHA premises, except for Fish. Any exceptions to the above would require the express approval of the BOD or the Executive Director. Violators shall pay the cost for removal of the pet and any/all damage that may have been caused by the pet.

 

Miscellaneous

Bicycles and motorcycles not parked in designated parking areas may be confiscated.  A note will be attached to the cycle informing the owner of this rule.  If the cycle is not moved after a week, the maintenance crew may remove it.

Skating, In-line skating, skateboarding, bicycling on UCHA premises is strictly forbidden. Any member found violating this policy will be levied a $100 fine.
