Government: Patria is a de facto Hindu theocracy, in which the Saraswati, Goddess of speech, language
and learning, serves as Queen (since 1992). The legislative body is the Congressus Patriae,
elected to a 4 year term, by proportional representation. The 46th Congressus Patriae was
elected in 1998, and inaugurated on June 30, 1998 for a 4 year term ending June 30, 2002. All
legislation, Acts of Congress, etc. must be ratified by a 50% majority, except for specially
designated legislation that requires a two-thirds majority.
