Ultra Classic  Version 1.77
---------------------------

Ultra Classic is a chrome/theme combo that makes Mozila's user interface look
more like Netscape 3. This is more than a normal theme. Themes determine
the look and feel of the user interface. Chromes defines layout and the
functionality of the user interface. Ultra Classic is both a theme and a
chrome.

Features include:
 Theme:
  * Netscape 3 - style icons
  * 2-state browser buttons
  * Back and Forward buttons no longer look like they came from IE5
  * Removed the annoying icons from the bookmarks menu
  * Personal toolbar contains buttons instead of links
  * A more "Netscape-like" status bar at the bottom of the screen

 Chrome:
  * Navigator 3 Style layout
     * Added "Open" and "Find" buttons to the Navigation Toolbar
     * The "Open" and "Find" buttons can be disabled in
        "preferences->navigator"
     * Moved the "Home" button to the Navigation Toolbar
     * Normal looking print button
     * The Url textbox, go button, and search button were moved to their own
        toolbar
     * The component-bar can now be disabled in Composer/Mail&News/Chatzilla
     * Added a "Previous" button in Mail & News
     * Added a "Find" button to Mail & News
     * The "Find" and "Previous" buttons can be disabled in
        "preferences->Mail & Newsgroups"
     * Layout changes to the statusbar

 * Other Features
    * An option in the view menu to show/hide the new Url toolbar

Since Ultra Classic is contains both a theme and its own chrome, installation
 is done in a two part process.

The two part installation is as follows:
The first part involves using modified versions of: comm.jar, messenger.jar
 chatzilla.jar supplied by Ultra Classic, in place of the the original
 versions of these files. These files do the following:
  Comm.jar - Adds extra buttons and affects layout for Navigator/Composer
  Messenger.jar - Layout changes for Messenger (Mail and News)
  Chatzilla.jar - Minor layout changes for Chatzilla (IRC)

The second part installs like any other theme. Click on the install link and
 switch themes.

To install:
 Part 1 - The chrome
  1) Goto the mozilla/chrome directory then copy comm.jar, messenger.jar,
      and chatzilla.jar to a safe place. You'll need the original copies of
      these files if you decide to remove Ultra Classic from your system.
  2) Go to the download page and download ucfiles14.zip
  3) Unzip ucfiles14.zip to the mozilla/chrome directory

 Part 2 - The theme
  1) Using Mozilla, go to the download page and click on the install link.
  2) Click yes, and wait for it to download.
  3) Switch the theme to "Ultra Classic".

To uninstall:
 Part 1 - The chrome
  1) Goto the mozilla/chrome directory and delete comm.jar, messenger.jar,
      and chatzilla.jar
  2) Copy the original comm.jar, messenger.jar, and chatzilla.jar
      files back to the mozilla/chrome directory.

 Part 2 - The theme
  1) Go into edit/preferences/themes. Click on Ultra Classic,
     click uninstall.

Note:

* Since, periodic changes to Mozilla can and often do break themes,
  (chromes too) this version of Ultra Classic may or may not work on other
  builds.

* This chrome/theme was tested on the Mozilla 1.7.7

* Since chromes affect all themes, this will alter the appearance of any
  other themes that you have installed. Restoring the original Jar files,
  that came with Mozilla, will make them appear normal again.

* Although the Ultra Classic theme can function with or without the custom
  chrome, (custom Jar files) it looks pretty bad without it. You have
  been warned. :)

* Like the previous 1.x releases this is a full-app chrome/theme.
