1^st BBQ

1^st April: no April fools

“The BBQ was a success,” exclaimed Dharma, who was the main coordinator of the event. The people from the Urban Management faculty with its 20 strong members came to liven up the event with guitars by Yuliman, Gung and keyboard by Riko, there were singing songs like Burung Kakaktua (Cockatoo Bird) and Bahasa Cinta (Language of Love). Though we had to share the venue with a Christian Church Group from Lake Ginnindera, there was no problem at all. In fact we joined them in singing happy birthday to one of their members, there were claps all around. After the song finished, they thank us for the lovely music & sharing atmosphere.

We ate sates made by Bu Ida and salads by Kiki. Our activities at the BBQ were to eat, introduction of our new society, take pictures, and then eat again. Few of the undergrads though were a bit shy to mingle with the others, played basketball at the courts. (suggestion: don’t be shy shy lah)

Another success was that our first BBQ had managed to recruit some more members thanks to the effort of our popular treasurer, Wati.

The only downturn was that we did not manage to play any games, poor Heracles who had worked hard making holes in the big rice crackers (kerupuk) & putting rafiah rope though it, for the eat kerupuk game. Oh well, next time we’ll play games first, ok?
