Hiya Mate
Perth, Western Australia

why did i choose to study in Perth out of so many of Australia states???
maybe coz its nearer to home (5 hours flight to Singapore)
it's kinda of quite here
and i knew a few ppl here from my prev visits here
and perth has the wildflowers seasons as well
which if im not wrong, attracts lots of tourists during its season in September.

Where am I studying??
Well. I 've just finished my tourism course with Alexander College,
School of Hospitality and Tourism.
From Feb 2000 onwards I'll be continuing with Univ Dip in Business Marketing, which in return will path the way for me a degree level course with ECU insyaAllah.
I'll still be at Alexander College for my univ dip course for the next one year and I'm looking forward being back there to rock the building and drive the lecturers crazy!!!!

To my well loved and respected lecturers,
Debra Kailis
Cindy Lane
and
Patrick Croll
thanx for bearing with my nonsense for the past 6 months :)

Keryn Larvae
my principal
for the help in time of need

my favaurite counsellor
Lynda Ford.... I'll be around still to bother you time and again :))
and she's got this cute chick assisting her
I dont know her name but she knows me hehee
and nice knowing ya too!
(i think everyone knows me practically but i dont know them!)

my batch of tourism
the new students who bear with us

From the 11th floor of Alexander Building we could see the captivating Swan River.
(the lake behind my place is connected to the Swan River as well)
From Swan River, you could catch a ferry to South Perth,  Fremantle or Rottnest Island.
Up from KIngs Park, which is quite a few minutes walk away from college,
you could see the whole view of Perth (ermm not really whole but both sides of Perth)
It's nice and peaceful just watching the ferries going to and fro,
perth highway in the middle,
the tall buildings and apartments.

Most attractions of Perth lies out of Perth like,
The Pinnacles
Wave Rock
and Albany
and others
I hope to be able to visit these places one day!
ah! theres the perth mint (which all states seems to have one)
the museums.

its a small world
these place is supercool !!!
theres miniatures trains, cars, houses, shoes etc, everything small its there.
A friend brought me here on my first trip and I was impressed, when I came here again recently,
I went with Carmen (my classmate) and we had great fun wondering around the place
but too bad its closing down!

halal food?
well, i dont have much prob with that
theres a few halal restaurants around run by asians and yes lebanese and turkish ppl as well!
theres one malay cafe which i frequently visit, opposite the King's Hotel
its OLE OLE CAFE
run by fellow singaporean couple KAK YATI  & ABANG ISKANDAR
they have a cute lil gal which i love to tease hehehee
for groceries stuffs i dont have any probs, as most asian supermarkets (run by indonchinese and vietnamese mostly) caters to  muslims needs as well, like halal chicken (not those run on the roadside chixs!) and meats, and they separate it from the porks etc.
and yeah, we do have 'ikan bilis' and even cincalok down here!!!!!

Fremantle - its about 45 minutes journey from Perth by train or an hour journey by ferry. Somehow I prefer taking the train as its easier to get around.
Theres the old prison here, which they have day and night tours (wonder when will i join in the tour)
markets and cafes!!!!
the markets are not those 'pasar'  if ur thinking likewise
but this is where you could get cheap bargains
and unique stuffs.
street performers doing their stunts
and musicians and artists,
theres once when i was so engrossed with a group of students performance
they kinda of make music with things like cans, wooden brooms, empty drums and stuffs from daily usage, it was kewl!!! and the music is great!!!!
i just stood there and watch em!
hmm what else is in Freo???
come down here and check it out hehehehe

I havent had the chance to really explore Perth, as being alone here and not able to drive
and if i could drive it would have been better hehehe than me and sureya will have a helluva of time!
she knows the way around but she cant drive!
(go and get ur licence girl!!!!!)

opps how could i forget!
Perth City and Northbridge

hmmm the city isnt that far away from my place
just a 5 min bus ride and theres Myers, Aherns, Target,
these are the major shopping centres in Perth and King Kong for cheap bargains hehhe.
Fastfood as everywhere they are there!!!!
Burger King is called Hungry Jacks here
there's no 7-eleven! (how i wish for one!)
and food courts and cafes!
Forum Cafe - my fav hangout!
London Court, I dont know why they name this London Court
yeah yeah I know im a tourism kid i should know more than you guys
but i cant remember at the moment for forgive me hehhee
but i think its kinda of like minieval kind of look which is why it is being called London Court.

NorthBridge
the vibrant part of the city which only comes alive on weekends and goes on
till the wee hours!!!
cafes, nite clubs, restaurants, diners,
all is open till late at nite every fri - sat nite!
unlike the city which closes at 6 daily
unless on Friday where theres late nite shopping they closes at 9pm
(in the suburban areas late nite shopping are on Thursday nite)
I got a women to read Tarot cards for me and somehow she end up reading my life lines
( i dont believe it but just for fun ok?)
she said i'd live long till 90++ (insyaAllah heheheeh)
my husband will be a foreigner (wah lau!!!!!not a singaporean hahahaha)
and ill spent most of my life in states (i hate that goddamn place! (freedom of speech)
and i'll be a good lawyer (damn!!!! i should have been one!)
and since im in tourism she said id do well
and id be able to migrate somewhere easily (not the states not there! please please please)
hahaha anyway, it was fun reading the life lines
though i dont believe in it but just do it for fun!

my best frenz here???
the kangaroos and wallabies of coz!!!!
heheh just kidding, the myth that makes ppl thinks that OZ is full with kangaroos by the roadside etc, is just a myth, the roads are pretty safe and theres no animals roaming around :)

thats all i have to say for now bout perth
talk to ya guys soon
SEE YA!!!!
have a gooday mate!
