A Teenager's Day

Early in the morning,

Nothing else to do.

Say a prayer then leave the house,

Off to find an adventure.

First downtown to see a flick,

Some movie about aliens.

Then I go to the coffee house,

To listen to some of my friends.

I drive around the city,

I look at all the buildings.

I see everyone walking around,

And I see my fellow people.

They see me as a reckless,

A teenage roughein, a hoodlum.

I see them as stern and strict,

A bunch of old ancients.

I go back home and watch some TV,

I surf the web as I listen to some music.

I talk on the phone, I read a book,

I make a date with some of my friends.

Out a long time with people I like,

I get home late, tired and spent.

I get yelled at for being so late, but I don't care,

I'm just a teen with no worries to think of yet.
