Note: First time you run TC the page is opened to calculate amount of TC users. If you wasn't connected to Internet that time please open this page when you'll be connected(only once!)
Installing
Just copy TC files to empty folder. Later there will be version with installer.
Navigation
TC shows files in usual explorer-like way. Left-click or press "Enter" to enter folder or to run a file. To scroll you may place cursor into most right or most left column of files or use scroll buttons. Navigation using cursor keys is also available. When sort mode is "complicated" files are sorted using statistics of use accumulated, folders you use frequently are first. "Ext use" sort will place files with popular extensions (like exe) first.
To navigate faster in folder with many files you may use one-click filtering to see only executable, graphic, sound, or document files.
Use arrow button or Backspace to go to upper folder.
File operations
Use right-click or Ins to mark files. You may select files from different folders into one file group. To copy files from active group enter folder you want to copy to and press yellow button("copy"). Moving and deleting files work in the same way. "Delete" will place files to Recycle Bin. In TC you can use up to three file groups simultaneously. File operation will be done only for "active" group which is visualized as a ball on the arrow. You may swap active group with a group in group box by right-clicking it. To view contents of group in group box left-click it.
Cross without box will unselect files and destroy file group without deletion.
You may also perform normal DragDrop of group to any aplication or desktop. To do this select files, place mouse above "drag stations" and drag it.
If you drop files on TC they will be added to active group.
If you click on magnifying glass it will come to arrow. In this mode on left clicks TC will view files using TC_Editor(if it's downloaded). If you dont like our editor(i dont like it too) you may copy any editor to TC's folder and name it TC_EDITOR.exe.
TC supports Shell's Context Menu(that pops-up on right click in Explorer). To use it enter "magnifying glass" mode and right click on file.
To switch back to normal mode click again on place of magnifying glass.
Settings panel
To bring settings panel double-click band on the right side. "Frames"
button will show you actual framerate(it needs some time you to wait).
"Icons" will bring an icon when cursor is placed above file(it slows down).
With "transparency" some elements become half-transparent, but that will slow
down on videocards without acceleration. "Line Smooth" and "co-rendering"
are useless. "Remove buttons" will speed up.
If "Store statistics" is not checked TC will not create Status.dff files(and complicated sort will not work properly).
Set skips to skipAll to speed up(but remove some side faces).
"Quality" means number of faces for round elements.
You may change font to special 3di font(it cames with TC, like "electro.fnt") or any
TrueType font(for me "Lucida Console" is best). TrueType fonts are much slower than 3di,
and thin fonts arent always shown well(enlarging window if you want them to look better).
NTFS users
If there are folders with no write access on local drive uncheck "store statistics"!
Speed up
Try clicking "Frames" button. TC will offer you changing its settings to optimal. If TC is too slow on your machine try:
0)set your color depth to 16 bit or 8 bit
1)disable icons
2)set 3di font(not TrueType)
3)disable transparency
4)set Skips to skipAll
5)use Remove button bar
6)disable sounds
7)run TC in a small window
8)set "quality" to lower value(5-7)
