EE EXHIBIT : September 26 - 28,2001

The Electrical Engineering Exhibit was participated by different organizations of the aforementioned course. The following are the entries on display:


HYDRO ELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Industrial Motor Control Laboratory (EE 5A7-1M)
under Engr. Marinay


Description:
  • miniature representation of how a Hydro Electric Power works from turbine to generator to substation.
  • used water pump for the flowing water, representative of a dam and used LED lights for the houses.

CABLE CAR
Motor Control (EE 511N)
under Engr. Alpis


Description:
  • miniature representation of how a cable car really works.
  • these electrical students used a manually controlled hoist motor and another to control the horizontal movement of the cable car.
  • they used two circuits ,one for the load and another for the control.
  • there are actually two magnetic conductors that are used as sensors that automatically detects the movement of the cable car.

ELECTRIC TRAIN
Control System (EE 414N -1M)
DC Transient (EE 419-1T)
under Engr. Latonio


Description:
  • a miniature representation of an Electric train.
  • this uses a coil magnetic conduction as relay that acts as a switch.
  • it uses a timer that has a time of 5 seconds to be able to unload the passengers.
  • the electric DC current passes through the tracks, one for positive and the other is negative.
