The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Exhibit was participated by students of Engr. Miriam Borja from her Electronics major classes. The projects that were included in the competion are only those of the Feasibilty Project classes ( ECE 5B2-1F ).


PC Based FlowerFarm Roofing System
Group 1 ( ECE 5B2-1F )

Description:
  • used to automatically monitor exotic plants
  • programmed in C and interfaced to the stepper motor by LPT1
  • uses light sensor to automatically change the angle of the roof that allows the passage of sunlight
  • automatic closing of the roof when rain occurs

Electronic Automated Poultry Cage Model
Group 3 ( ECE 5B2-1F )

Description:
  • automatically set feedings (for up to 8 feedings)
  • photo sensor to automatically turn off/on lights
  • interfaced to a stepper motor to automatically feed poultry
  • automatically cleans the food tray and waste materials by connection to a motor compressor

Automatic Telephone Card Dialer
Group 4 ( ECE 5B2-1F )

Description:
  • used Turbo C to create the barcode card to store the telephone number of the person
  • uses assembly language stored in Zilog microprocessor to automatically dial the telephone
  • barcode card needs to be swiped to a scanner to automatically call the person

Electronic Ticketing Device
Group 6 ( ECE 5B2-1F )

Description:
  • programmed in C and stored in the MPU
  • battery powered or adapter power supply
  • serially connected to a printer for the tickets
  • one ticket for one or more persons that is collectively counted as one transaction

MPU based Recording and Paging Device
Group 7 ( ECE 5B2-1F )

Description:
  • programmed in assembly language and stored in the 6802 microprocessor
  • uses the ISD 1400 IC to record voice of the speaker situated outside the house
  • can store up to 75 seconds of recording time irregardless of hoy many messages are stored

employs the IEEE protocol for wireless connections in Local Are Networks.

  • Electronic Baby Cradle

has a pulse generator to imitate the heart beat of a mother.

  • Edwards Stainless Steel [ Hot Water System ]

the company demonstrated the use of solar panels in heaters, especially used on water.

  • Schneider Incorporated

the company demonstrated their different products regarding Industrial Control of factories and industial plants.


These projects are also for display , and are classified as especial projects for the said subjects.
