UFO SIGHTINGS OF THE 1950'S

DESMOND LESLIE AND GEORGE ADAMSKI

   In 1953 Desmond Leslie and George Adamski wrote a book called The Flying Saucers Have Landed.  Adamski lived in Mt. Palomar, California, near the 200 inch telescope.  He had intimate knowledge and contact with people from outer space, and reported riding in spacecraft and mother ships, conversing with them, and even bringing back photographs of some of his experiences.  This book reveals the history and records of UFOs that goes back to ancient times. 

   In chapter 2, "The Flying Saucer Museum," accounts of sightings in ancient history are told.  For example, in January of 1953, a manuscript dating back to A.D. 1290 was discovered at Ampleforth Abbey in England, and tells about an abbey brother running excitedly into the dining hall to report "a large round silver thing like a disk" flying slowly over them.  It "excited the greatest terror."  Almost 200 sightings from the seventeenth to the twentieth century are listed, many of them detailed eyewitness accounts.

ANCIENT VIMANAS:

   The book describes how the ancient "Vimanas" (UFOs mentioned in ancient East Indian writings) constructed "air boats" which would use an antigravity "etheric force" (levitation) to fly through the air.  Etchings in stone show saucer-like vehicles, while ancient books contain many significant descriptions of Vimanas in flight.  One book written in Sanskrit (an ancient language of India) gives detailed accounts of saucer construction and flying.

   The force propelling these vehicles is described as a combination of mental power, harmonized with certain magnetic forces, which provides the lift.  The terminology and supernatural effects described in this book sound very much like what the eastern mystic religions and the new age movement call "the force" behind their mental achievement.  In truth, "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Eph. 6:12).

ATLANTIS:

   Ancient papyrus and Arab legends tell about the transport of the great Egyptian stones by levitation.  The same is reported in ancient South American legends.  The priests, who were also scientists, on the continent of Atlantis knew the secrets of cosmic power which resided in the "House of the Flame."   According to the legend, no one except the initiates were allowed to approach without instant death.

   A young prince, says the story, ventured into the forbidden precincts and, like a child playing with things he shouldn't, experimented with the terrible powers contained there in great underground vaults and tunnels.  This unauthorized exploration caused the whole continent to sink beneath the sea, burying 60,000,000 inhabitants.

BIBLE MISQUOTED AND MISAPPLIED:

   The legend parallels the Biblical account of the fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis when they partook of the forbidden fruit.  The flood of Genesis 6-9 is also paralleled.

   Throughout the book sprinkled references to the Bible are misquoted and misapplied.  Erroneous spiritual overtones indicate that the book was written to deceive and lead people to wrong conclusions about biblical absolutes of right and wrong and salvation.

   It talks about the people in other solar systems coming to earth as emissaries of Satan, the prince of the power of the air (Eph. 2:2), and it builds a case for the need of saucers and their inhabitants to come and warn the people of earth about the dangers of nuclear bombs.  The same warnings are being given again in the 1990's in recent publications and in media reports.  The stage is being set for these beings to come as angels of light and saviours of mankind.

FIRST SPACE SHIP AND PEOPLE FROM VENUS:

   Chapter 20, "The First Space Ship on Record," begins by saying, "Venus is the 'Home of the Gods.'   From Venus in the year 18,617,841 B.C. came the first vehicle out of space to alight on our planet."  They then say that ancient teachings suggest that "all the planets of this system are inhabited by men, in different degrees of attainment [reincarnation]."  They say that "Venus is held to be more advanced than its neighbor, owing to particularly favorable circumstances at the outset of its career.  The  popular mythologies, and the less obscure inner temple teachings all make Venus 'The Home of the Gods,' from whence help has frequently been sent to its impoverished neighbor and brother, the 'Planet of Painful Endeavor,' or 'Earth'" (p. 165).

   In this one paragraph we see a denial of a perfect creation by Jesus (Gen. 1,2), a denial of death, a denial that this life is the only chance a person has to gain salvation and eternal life, and a denial of heaven and God's throne beyond the visible solar system.

   A significant point in its endeavor to change truth into a lie is the concept of beings on other planets passing through stages of spiritual growth. 

CHRIST MISQUOTED:

   The book then addresses itself to the matter of flying saucers and the Christian's alarm, stating:  "If they turn to the Bible, they will find a record of Christ telling us of a very great future event which would be preceded by 'signs and wonders in the sky'" (p. 165).  The author conveniently left out the word "LYING" in this misquoted Scripture (2 Thess. 2:9), for these are truly "SIGNS AND LYING WONDERS." 

   Further support that the saucer phenomenon is of satanic and not Heavenly origin is found in the last paragraph on the same page, where it states, "A point was reached about eighteen million years ago, say the old teachings, when something resembling a man had evolved;  but it was mindless, for it was born from Earth alone."  On page 204 we learn that a being from outer space spoke with George Adamski and told him that "THE INTELLIGENCE GOES ON EVOLVING."  Then pointing to himself, he indicated that once he lived here on this earth;  but now, pointing up into space, he lives out there.  This is a dead giveaway, for both the idea of evolution and reincarnation originated in the mind of the enemy,   to deny creation and that "the wages of sin is death." (Rom. 6:23)    According to space people and ancient writings, "The Lord of the Flame, The Great Lord of the Fourth Sphere." is responsible for the universe and its inhabitants.  They explain that  "'The Lord of the Flame' can be found under many names.  He is the 'Ancient One,' 'The Mighty Lord of Fire,' 'The Youth of Timeless Aeons,' 'The Eternal Virgin,'..."  They then go on to blaspheme God by saying:  "And in our own Bible He is 'The Ancient of Days,' with His lords and helpers He projected the Spark, stimulated men to rationality, and lived among them in physical form for countless millennia, teaching and guiding the huge black creatures who worshipped Him and the 'Holy of Heaven'" (p. 167).

BRAHMIC CYCLES:

   The book talks about Brahmic Cycles.  One Brahmic Cycle is over 300 quadrillion years, or a great aeon.  Yet they say that an hour of cosmic time is not yet completed (p. 168).  God says in His Word that He created - instantly and perfectly; and Biblical history and genealogy prove that the earth is only about 6,000 years old.  It looks suspiciously as if the word "Brahmic" comes from the Indian religious sect Brahmanism - more indication of deception.

   Pages 167-169 tell us that man evolved from animals, "the  awakening of animal-man into true man."  The "missing link" was a race of crooked red hair-covered monsters walking on all fours.  There is no room here for creation and man created in the image of God.

   On page 204 Adamski relates more lies from a space alien.  George wanted to know if people on other planets die as earth men die.  The alien answered that bodies do die, but the thoughts or mind do not die.  He indicated that the intelligence goes on evolving.  The Bible teaches that dead men cannot think (Ps. 146:4;  Eccl. 9:5,6), and God will give us new bodies and minds INSTANTLY when we are translated or resurrected from the dead at Christ's return, when the righteous will be taken to Heaven (1 Cor. 15:52,53; 1 Thess. 4:17).

UFOS OUR SAVIOUR?:

   Closing statements written by Leslie and Adamski make UFOs the saviour of the world.  "Ancient civilizations have lived on earth, whose development and understanding of the universe in which they lived was far superior to that of man today...." (p. 212).

   "A deep analysis of events of the past makes me firmly believe that these people from other planets are our friends.  I am convinced that their desire and their object is to help us, and perhaps to protect us from even ourselves, as well as that they mean to insure the safety and balance of the other planets in our system.  But if we continue on the path of hostility between nations of earth, and if we continue to show an attitude of indifference, ridicule and even aggression toward our fellow-men in space, I am firmly convinced they could take powerful action against us, not with weapons of any kind, but by manipulation of the natural force of the universe which they understand and know how to use" (p. 221).

   It is clear from these quotes that ETs have been substituted for the only true God of the universe.  To make these beings superior and that they alone will save us, has effectively produced a mindset that will accept Satan (the anti-christ) as Christ when he (Satan) appears in a space ship.

THE HELEN AND BETTY MITCHELL STORY

   It was four years after Leslie and Adamski wrote his book that two sisters Helen and Betty Mitchell were contacted in much the same way that Adamski was.  Like him, they were in a coffee shop when contacted.  They knew nothing about saucers and space aliens.  And were taken by surprise.  Their conversation seems to indicate they were Christians or at least believed in God. 

   The information about these sisters was obtained in a booklet entitled "We Met the Space People," written by them and published by the Galaxy Press, Canada, in 1973.  

THE CONTACT:

   In May of 1957 Helen and Betty had been shopping and stopped off to get a coke, when two gentlemen dressed in grey suits approached them and interrupted their conversation.  They said they were from a huge mother-craft (like those first described by Adamski) which was orbiting the earth.  Their names were Elen and Zelas.  They told the girls that they had been closely watched by space people for the last 8 years, and that their progress has been watched since they were born.  The girls thought this was some kind of joke until the men told them things about their family life that only they knew about.

   The girls were told they had been chosen as contacts or channels through which they could give certain information to earth.  They were told the reasons space people were coming to earth was because of brotherhood and science.  Their expressed concern was about the detonating of nuclear bombs and devices and their pollution of earth.  They were on a mission of mercy to warn the people of planet earth.

   Helen and Betty were amazed at their words, and noted particularly the kindness and warmth that shone in their eyes.  Helen said: "With a single glance from them we seemed to sense the vast wisdom and brotherhood which they must have lived among."  They talked for a little over two hours and left telling them they would contact them again, but it was not until a week later that they were impelled to again return to the same coffee shop.

VISIT TO MOTHER SHIP:

   Later outside of St Louis, Helen was taken to a circular craft about 38 feet in diameter, then taken up to the mother craft, which took approximately 15 minutes.  She described in detail what the mother craft was like inside.  It was huge, perhaps one half a mile long, with air locks and space for many saucer craft, beautifully appointed living and dining areas, very much like what Adamski described 4 years earlier.  

 THE ALIENS MISSION:

   These aliens (evil angels) said their mission was to warn people about the A and H bombs, and also the future of those responsible for its evil.  They then talked about the evil flying saucers and evil space people and the strange phenomena that seem to defy natural law.  This is where we learn who these aliens really are and about their mission to deceive and set the stage for future manifestations.

   There was supposedly a Martian council that convened and drafted a mission to warn earth people about the danger they were in.  These alien beings said they were sent on a mission of mercy to warn earthlings of the grave danger they were in.

   The girls were told of principles that govern God's universe.  What the visitors were trying to tell the girls was that the earth is in a most perilous situation and faces self-destruction of humanity.  In speaking of the destruction by Atom and Hydrogen bombs they mentioned the role of evil flying saucers and space people.  They said these were responsible for the bad things that have happened to people who were burned or got sick when they had contact with the saucers.   

BAD ALIENS:

   The girls were told these bad aliens are usually crafty and mischievous, and abduct people into their craft.  The theme then changes and Betty discusses good versus evil.  "Where do these beings come from, and why are they entering this system?  No doubt most of you will agree there is a tremendous battle going on between the good and the bad, which concerns all thoughts, actions and influences.  From thousands of years ago to the present age this battle between right and wrong has been waged against civilization and has balanced first in favor of the good and righteous, and then turning and swaying in favor of the wicked or evil."  She then goes on to describe the bubonic plague that swept England in the dark ages, but then argues that this resulted in good such as more sanitary conditions. Concluding this remark with the statement that "All evil will give way to the good, and all wrong has a right." 

   These beings told Betty that the space people who have negative qualities about them are coming from systems farther out

in space, although not all space craft from farther out systems are evil.  Many, she was told, are very good and are trying to also help earth. The evil negative beings are said to be here for the purpose of actually taking people from earth to indoctrinate them with their ideas, so they in turn will cause confusion and disturbances upon the planet.  Betty was told that "the true purpose behind this plan is to prevent harmony and peace, for they are in alliance with those beings living on earth, who themselves will be forced to leave earth when peace and brotherhood is completed."

SPACE BROTHERS TRYING TO HELP:

   Betty said, "The space brothers who are trying to help earth have to contend with these craft and beings from other less desirable systems, and also to contend with the unbelieving masses of people who either do not know of the need for harmony and peace or those who do not want to listen to their urgent requests.  The job of the Space Brothers is not easy, for it is necessary to prepare the people of earth to accept their existence and also to guide them in proper understanding so that peace and co-existence will be possible."

   These statements show how Satan was setting people up years before, for the present time, by implanting subtle ideas that some aliens are good and some bad.  The idea that there are bad solar systems and galaxies put forth the false notion that there is evil out in God's universe, outside of earth.  This is not true, for sin and evil were confined to this earth alone when Adam and Eve fell.  There are no beings who fell into Satan's hands outside of this earth.  Earth is the only theater of the universe where the virus of evil has been allowed by God to be played out.

   The idea that there is a time when peace and brotherhood is to take place on this earth, is a lie, for Scripture plainly tells us that this earth and its evil inhabitants are going to be completely destroyed and cleansed by fire of every trace of sin and sinners. (Rev. 20:7-14) Finally after 1,000 years, the earth will be recreated and the saints who were taken to heaven to be with Jesus for a thousand years, will at last inherit their edenic home. (Rev. 21)

   The evil delusions propagated by these satanic agencies continue to unfold as they begin to use the name of the "Most High," referring to God the Father, in their conversation with these girls who may have been Christians.  They bring into the picture Satan and his evil angels.  This is what they said:

NEGATIVE BEINGS AND FALLEN ANGELS:

   "Many people seem to feel that the negative beings are only from planet  earth and consists only of those fallen angels who were cast out of heaven by a Supreme Command from the Most High.  Many can quote the proper passages of the Bible and prove that there are fallen angels living here on Earth, who cause the necessary confusion and evil which we here must live among." 

(Here they are talking favorably about Scripture to get the girls to believe their lies.)  "There are those intelligences of superior powers whom we would call fallen angels living on earth, but it is not wholly from them that the evil or bad flying saucers come (another lie).

   "As you look up into the sky at night you see multitudes of stars, planets and suns moving on in beautiful orbits.  However, if you could move out through the space and watch the barbaric conditions that exist upon some of these stars you would be shocked (a monstrous lie).  There are some systems advanced in scientific accomplishments to the degree of mastery over space, and these systems are those who have advanced in science alone and who have little spiritual advancement (not true, they have never sinned and were created perfect).  They come here to earth and to other planets in farther systems to form alliances with those intelligences who will provide them the necessary fulfillment of their evil desires and wishes.  Planet earth is now visited by such craft, whose occupants live and profit from the unrest and disharmony present."

   The so-called brothers from outer space then told Betty that many times when they came to earth to contact brothers, and beam their messages to them, the contacts received beamed transmissions from a negative craft.  They claimed that these evil beings have mocked their efforts and belittled the brothers and them.  At other times they claimed that the bad guys said they were from the M-4 section of Mars and had a message for the good guys from the council.

   What a devilish lie this is, designed to make people believe this work of evil angels posing as the good guys, is being opposed by an evil force.  By doing this the enemy has disarmed people making them believe evil is good.  In reality it is Satan behind this whole charade.

ASKED TO PREPARE BOOK:

   The aliens then asked the girls to prepare a book for them and expose the whole untruth connected with the story of the fallen angels.  By so doing they hoped to take the attention off Satan and his evil hosts, and place it falsely upon so-called aliens from outer space who do not exist.  They said this book was to be delivered by one of their very advanced minds, and to be created in manuscript form, and offered for publication. 

   The booklet then brings in God again and the Bible.  The next paragraph states that: "The subject of negative beings can be connected directly with much unusual phenomena that seems to be completely contrary to natural law.  However, nothing can defy the absolute laws that God created, but many of these laws are simply not known nor understood by millions of people."

   The discussion now turns to paranormal happenings involving levitation, objects passing through walls, and moving freely through the air, etc.  These events are blamed upon the mischievous minds of negative beings.  They explain how these negative beings can control the fields of gravity by changing polarity from positive to negative and vis versa.

UNFULFILLED PROPHECIES:

   These two aliens then made some predictions or prophesied about things to come.  Remembering this was in 1957, it can now be seen that almost none of their prophecies about how things on this earth would be, are true.  Their predictions, in part, supported their lies about space people by stating that people would enjoy companionship with them.  The concluding sentence in this paragraph says, "When earth has risen to this height of advancement, space flight will become a common thing, and earth's people will then perhaps go out and serve other less fortunate planets, just as the space people are now serving earth."

   Thus the lies continue and the myths the enemy is getting people to believe.  In June of 1959 Betty delivered an address in which she shared more of what was told to her.  In this address, she told how the imaginary beings on Venus were concerned about what is happening on earth and their concern over the misrepresentations.  Supposedly speaking from experience, an alien by the name of Tregon delivered the messages to Betty,  He told how Venusian science was advanced to the point that they could make machines that were capable of picking up the past actions of history and recreate those sights and sounds.

TREGON'S LIES:

   Tregon then delved into the Biblical history and the tower of Babel, when God confused the language.  It is claimed that this was "the purpose and plan of the Creator to prevent the understanding of certain tribes.  When the decree was given to have the tribes split and the languages differ upon earth it was for the purpose of veiling the darkness from the untrained mind of the evolving souls living on earth.  Thus sealing up of ignorance and the fallen angel's began."   Notice the word "evolving souls."  Subtly the enemy brings in the idea of evolution, which reoccurs later on in the text.  The claim that the sealing up of fallen angel's occurred at that time is the exact opposite of what happened.  This was the time when Satan began to again pursue the setting up of his counterfeit religious system of sun worship through Nimrod, and his son Tammuz.

   In the following paragraphs quoting Tregon (evil angel), notice how truth is mixed with error, and how the truth is twisted to redirect the thinking, taking away the attention from the work of the enemy.

   "As history proceeded the decrees of those possessing the wisdom of darkness grew until they recorded much false history that glorified their deeds.  The sons and daughters of man had learned the wisdom of entering heaven, but falsely used the illumination they gained and instead of living according to the proper laws they built and obtained material creations to satisfy their bodies.  Thus the spiritual advancement of man was prevented from properly developing, and the decree of severance and chaotic thought filled the earth.  Much time passed before this was completed, for it was from Venus that the messengers came to start these changes."

THE FLOOD AND SEPARATION:

   (In the sentences that follow, the mission of aliens from Venus are portrayed as saviours of mankind, coming to turn around the tide of evil.  No need of our Heavenly Father or Jesus seen here.) 

   "Changes came and flooded the earth and the separation of people began....Those people who came to earth, being sent by the Creator in His wisdom, served to prolong the advancement of man and his material creations, for it was known that earthman could create anything that his imagination would reveal.  Earthman reached an EVOLUTIONARY CYCLE where he responded to the intellectual flash of creation that was born from his mind.  He could see mental images of vast material creations inspired by the elevation of his thoughts, and in disobedience to his spiritual growth he sought to satisfy this and create similar effects. 

   "Knowing the effects this would have upon the development of his mind the messengers (saviors) of Venus came to prevent the destructibility of man.  The true Creator was no longer exemplified in man's mind, for it became filled with the material wonders devised in his imagination.  The centuries of advancement that Venus had before earth knew the trend of man's feet, placed her people in a position to see the evil that earth was committing.  Those wicked people (evil angels) who, during the rise of earth's own civilizations, had been cast down to earth, and were creating monarchies of slavery of earthman.  This time in earth's history was during the Atlantean period, and the separation of earthman's minds was decreed to take place.  Those from Venus came, and gave warning to the faithful of earth, who, unlike the other Atlanteans followed the laws of the Most High.  The story of a man called Noah, in your Holy Book, was one of the faithful who survived this cleansing of earth.  Those unfaithful of earth who followed the fallen angels were deprived of their powers to control by the division of the universal tongue.  No longer could one language be understood by another, for the different ones of faith who were saved created various dialects and interpretations at the guidance of the messengers.

THE PLANET LUCIFER:

   "....This diversion of the tribes of man as decreed by the Creator.  In the age of the Atlanteans the evils of earth were multiplied by the evil ones WHO FLED FROM THE EXPLODED PLANET LUCIFER, and who created the same evil in earth as they had created on their planet.  (Notice that Satan and his angels were not cast down to earth from heaven, but supposedly went to a planet called Lucifer.)  False worship grew and multiplied on earth at their direction, and the fallen angels of Lucifer lead astray many of earth's inhabitants (that's true).  Seeing this, the wise ones of Venus (no such beings) came to earth in their craft.  Earth men called these craft 'fiery-chariots,' and a 'wheel inside of a wheel.' (A false interpretation of the Biblical book of Ezekiel.)  Another name given to the craft of Venus by earth men has been a 'cloud.'" 

ATLANTIS CONNECTION AGAIN:

   "The years of Atlantis were spent by a growth of intelligent comprehension in man, and it was through this growth that man's eyes became open to the evils around him.  He no longer lived in a world of innocence and obedience, but the people began to follow the evil influences that the fallen ones of heaven had brought with them.  Earth was then polluted, and as a new cycle of change in the heavens began the wise ones of Venus came to earth to warn all to repent, but many did not follow their guidance (saviours of men theme again).  Being wholly instructed by the Most High Council the Venusians who came to earth told the faithful to leave for certain areas, and thus the Bible tells of only one man called Noah, who with his family built a means of sustaining the change which was to come to earth (thus implying that more people were saved than Noah and his family at the time of the flood).  The wicked and evil ones died in the axis change and cataclysms that occurred, while the faithful were saved by proper warning according to the order of the Most High."   

WARNING ABOUT NUCLEAR:

   Tregon then drew a parallel to today, telling the girls that earth is following in the path of Atlantis.  He cited how the release of nuclear fallout was turning earth into a place of desolation.  How plants and animals are being scourged by it, and that soon the water will become undrinkable due to the radioactivity of these bombs. It must be remembered that in those years testing of bombs was going on by both America and Russia.  He brought up the question of another major war and said that this must not come to pass.  He referred to the Bible again.  "The truth in your holy book will come to pass, for we see again the evil works earth does and the most high council can rule at any time upon the necessary actions."  He closed his remarks to Betty with a Bible verse. "Let those who have ears to hear, let them hear." and then signed his name "Tregon of Venus."

   Betty closed her address by drawing attention to what she felt were important facts contained in Tregon's words.  She reiterated that the fallen angels were beings who lived on the planet Lucifer, and adds that this planet was once in an orbit between Mars and Jupiter, and that these evil beings (Satan calling himself evil) fell to earth after refusing to accept the word of the Most High Council. 

   She continued, "At the time of Atlantis the beings upon the planet Lucifer were extremely advanced and possessed space flight and wisdom that earthman does not yet even know.  They were thus advanced far beyond the modern man of earth, and were indeed possessors  of rare wisdom.  Their fall occurred when they disobeyed the Most High and continued with devastating experiments that caused their planet to explode.  Thus cast out by the Most High and the other angels they descended to earth where they were forced to rebuild and start anew.  They lost a vast and beauteous planet, and thus fell to the early civilizations that earth possessed at the time.  They continued their evil on Atlantis and when the angels in heaven saw this they were commanded by the Most High to cause this (evil) to cease by scattering the people and dividing the language, so that the evil ideas of the fallen ones would not be understood.  When the messengers from Venus arrived to start the work of the Most High, Tregon tells us that, '...the sealing up of ignorance and fallen angels began.'"

   "Since the space people of Venus did instruct and guide the faithful people of earth to sacred places where they would be safe when certain changes took place, we know that they will again do this at the proper time.  Our scientists know that there are cycles of activity that earth passes through and Tregon also said in his message that '...as a new cycle of change in the heavens began the wise ones of Venus came to earth to warn all to repent.'  The people of Venus knew of the inevitable axis change that was to bring a flood and cataclysms to earth.  The faithful were warned and only those who were full of obedience to the Most High received the warnings and instructions.  Thus earth was cleansed and the evil ones with their records and language sank with Atlantis and other continents, while the faithful were saved.

   "We find the space people are now prepared to again warn those who are faithful and to show them sacred ground to go to, also to lift them from the face of earth itself and protect them from the radioactivity and evil of those who do not follow the laws of the Most High....  Tregon has told us that the evil of earth will continue until the planet and oceans are radioactive unless earthman puts a stop to this evil."

   Betty concluded her talk by saying:  "The problem of flying saucers has become very deeply interwoven with the fate of earth, and none who investigates the phenomena can come out of it without sensing the complexity of the solution.  No one can give a definite account of all the space people's purposes, but we can share the information we do get and piece together the intricate puzzle of what they are, why they come to earth, and how earth is being benefited by them.  To the faithful who keep the laws of the Most High we can only phrase the words that so often come to our minds, '...rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: ...'"

   The reader can see how this whole scenario is a carefully crafted delusion meant to deceive any who will believe these lies.  Anyone who buys into this delusion WILL be enslaved by the enemy and be lost.
