Alabama Neon Green Oval Shaped Craft

May 30, 2000, 9:00 PM.Coast -- Two witnesses looking in the direction of the sighting confirm seeing a bright neon green oval shaped craft moving at a high rate of speed shortly after dusk on May 30, 2000. The craft moved east to west with no changes in direction at 9:00 PM. It was flying parallel with the shoreline along the Alabama coastline when the object simply disappeared.

Between Florida And Alabama

1980s, (no time given)

The only thing that I can count as an encounter of any kind was back in (I think) the 1980s when my wife, daughter and I were traveling some back roads between Florida and Alabama in daylight. Off to my right I caught a glimpse of 5 or 7 black shaped objects near the ground but in the air. I called to my wife to look and she saw them as did my daughter. I had to turn back to look at the road ad before I could look back there were trees in between us and the objects. I saw that the clump of pine trees were coming to an end and it appeared the objects may have been headed our direction too so I looked for them again when we got to the clearing where I could look back a bit toward where they were... nothing. Not one. Heard no sound. We had car windows up so that could have muffled any sound. The first thought was helicopters since we have a very large helicopter base in the area but there were no rotors on top or back (whichever end of these things were the back) Anyhow with that many helicopters I would have heard the thumping of the blades if they had them. I detected no windows or anything in the brief chance I had to observe them. I pride myself in being up on most of the modern day aircraft and they were nothing like I'd ever seen before. The wife remembers it but does not remember much of it. In fact when I asked her what she remembered she said: "Lights that moved real fast." What I saw was a lack of light (black objects) and did not seem to be moving unless they
were going about the same speed as the car in the direction of the car. So there you are.... how can anyone verify anything when memories vary so much ?

Arizona Orbs

March 15, 2001, 8:10 PM

Rainbow Valley, Arizona: Beginning at 8:10 PM and lasting till 9:06 PM, nine groups of orange glowing Orbs appeared in the southern sky over Estrella foot hills. Observed by this writer and two other witnesses, at one point nine of the Orbs appeared lined up like a dotted line across the black sky and began to blink on and off. This display lasted for approximately 13 minutes and the Orbs blinked off one by one and disappeared. Writer phoned Fox Television at the onset of this event and was told other people had phoned in with similar observations. This event reminded the writer of nearly the same type of events as the
Parade of Lights that occurred across Phoenix in 1997 on 3/13/1997. The difference as observed by this writer was the proximity of the Orbs was closer together, and the duration of the sighting was shorter. The color of the light observed was much more orange in tonight's sighting as well. Writer did not observe any smoke, flame like appearance, nor fluttering of the objects at all. In writer's opinion, these objects were not flares. This is the first appearance in nearly nine months of these objects, but have been observed in the same area and demonstrating similar behavior on at least ten occasions over the last five years. Weather conditions were clear, no moon at the time of sighting, and a light breeze from the North. No aircraft were observed in the vicinity of the sighting during the event. As this type of sighting observed by this writer has
a tendency to repeat itself within a day or two after the initial event, writer will make a special effort to watch the sky at this location for the next several nights between 8:00 and 10:00 PM.

Sedonia, Arizona

September 21, 1998, 7:25 PM

Last night all three of us witnessed something we've never seen before. It was a large object lit up with white and blue lights over the skies of Sedona. We couldn't tell if it was being escorted or pulled, but, it had accompanied aircraft. When looking back at it from the back, it had large wings and possibly an engine of some kind. The head on look through binoculars looked like a craft with a lot of dome shaped windows - it so lit up I thought it might be an advertising blimp. It had a long arm sticking out of one side and several extensions that remained me of the craft on Close Encounters. Did anyone else see this or was it some military project ? We watched for anything on the news, nothing. Any idea as to what this was.

Witnessed by Susan and Richard and Sharon from our deck. It came at us from the NW and then headed East

Navajo Reservation

Late 60's & early 70's

I have seen several UFOs in the past. I am Navajo Indian currently living in Tucson, Arizona. My family still lives on the reservation. We have seen many odd objects and we all feel that something has happened to us. Most of out experiences happened in the late 60's and early 70's.

The Navajo reservation is a vast and beautiful. There are no major airports, military establishments and air force units in our area. In 1989, I and my co-worker were discussing the days events in my car. We were pared in a parking lot of one of the canyon overlooks in our area. The overlook is at a higher elevation than our town below us. We saw a large cigar shaped UFO silently moving from south to north. The enormous craft made no noise. We estimated the craft to be longer than a football field. It just silently flew above out town. What intrigues me is that we have alien visitors and I feel that they will one day appear to us. Somehow I feel that the alien visitors are silently watching us because they feel that we are still living in the dinosaur age.

Winter Of 1995 - 96

Here's a report in the public domain for the first time: During the winter of 1995 - 96, while on a cross country bicycle trip, I observed a 'craft' that were of a type previously unknown to me. I had set up camp near an abandoned adobe house that was located near the U.S./Mexico border in the state of Arizona. As was my custom, while on this particular trip, I camped out most nights and would seek and or create a campsite that was somewhat difficult to see from any roads or highways, because this trip was a solo bicycle ride.

After having my evening meal, I was enjoying the pleasure of watching the sunset. A black Chevy blazer with black tinted windows, one occupant and U.S. government lic. plates drove down an adjacent unpaved road and approached a locked gate. The driver got out, unlocked the gate, passed through and relocked it. He began what I'd refer to as a 'recon' of the general area, using some sort of optical devise (I saw this through 8x35 Nikon binocs). He continued this behavior, driving outside of my visual range, until the Blazer
returned to the gate and passed through again.

I thought that perhaps he was searching for illegals crossing the border. Later on that night, while I was doing some star gazing, I saw an amber colored light moving low in the desert sky, within a few moments, it seemed to become larger or move towards my location, nether of which I was sure of at that time. I checked my watch for the time and when I looked up again, the amber light moved slightly to the east, at which that time I felt sure the light was moving towards me. This light began to have some definition, as it drew closer, it appeared to be rectangular, and although it seemed to grow brighter, it was not illuminating the desert floor (from my ground-level perspective). I began to feel alarmed as it came closer to me, as it seemed to be very, very large.

When it got close to approx. 120 yards of my location, I took out my 'AA' cell flashlight, focused the beam as tightly as I could, and aimed it towards the "craft" while sending a Morse code message. This seemed kind of silly, but this is what I did. The rectangle amber light 'turned off' right after I did this. In a few seconds, perhaps as many as 45, my night vision began to return, and I was astounded to see starlight being blocked out in a large area of the sky adjacent to the place where I'd last seen the intense amber light.

It was clear to me that I was seeing something very large, moving slowly at an altitude of less than 500 feet. I had heard sounds that were similar to the noise of cellophane being crushed, while the amber light was on and very close to me, although this sound ceased when the light extinguished. I watched the 'dark spot' in the sky until I could no longer see it. I felt some adrenaline still coursing through me, after the experience, and decided to stay out watching the sky, since I was sure that I couldn't sleep then. In about 40 minutes or so, I again saw the amber light in the distance, to the south and east of camp. This light, however, was more distant and was of the same color, yet it was coming from the top and bottom of what was clearly an airborne craft of some sort. The amber light was seen by me to resemble long, thin 'cones' of beams' (like a flashlight beam) issuing from the center top and bottom of the craft. I could see 4 or 5 fighter jets circling in helix-type orbits around one object.

A moment later, another object 'turned on' it's amber lights nearby (within approx 1 mile) the object that I was observing. It too was being circled by fighter aircraft. I watched this going on for 15 minutes, then the objects began to appear in different area of the sky (by 'appear' I mean they would 'turn on' the amber beams) momentarily and then 'shut off' the amber lights, only to appear somewhere else in the sky. There was one instance where one of the objects lights appeared to 'shutter' for a moment, light fully, and 'shutter again. The size of these objects (I saw 3 at the same time only once, 2 at the same time over 5 times) dwarfed the fighter aircraft around them. At one point, I observed what I'd best describe as a 'plume', similar to a small rocket plum, issue from the center axis of the outside curve of the object, and although I really don't know what it was, it seemed to be a rocket being fired from the object.

The trajectory of this 'plume' was perpendicular to the horizon, and after moving not much more than 100 yards, turned 90 degrees downward and it's light ceased. I am most curious to inquire if anyone else observed these things, or has seen similar objects in the same area. This was not the first time that I've been in close proximity to unknown aircraft, but the others I've seen were not of the same type as these described here, and I have a general feeling that the objects I describe in this post may be of military design or origin. I have left out some details of the general shape and size of this 'craft' so that I may be able to discuss them with someone else who also saw the same events as I.

Thanks To Dan For His Report - If anyone else has been witness to a unknown object of this kind as described here, would you please contact HBCC UFO Research for futher investigation.

Rimrock Arizona

December 1, 2000, 7:18 PM

At 7:18 PM I went to the window in my living room a saw a light in the yard. I said come here and look at this, she said that's a UFO she immediately ran out side and came in saying grab your camera, it is a huge
ship, so I grabbed my equipment and ran out to the creek and lo and behold there it was, a huge UFO about 1000 feet off the ground. I started to video it and that's where the ships appeared not one but two than started to shine a beam of light down on the ground. Then it started to move towards us then stopped and then all of a sudden one ship blinked and disappeared. I continued to observe the craft and still was staying where I saw it. I came in the house and called a friend and asked to go outside to see if he can see it and he said yes. I went out quickly and it was still there. I will keep you updated as to this evenings events and will have the video on the web, ASAP.

Payson, Arizona

1994, 3 - 4 AM

During Deer hunting season of 1994, myself, my boyfriend and a good friend were returning early one morning, about 3-4 AM (a week day) We were driving down I-17 south of Payson, Arizona. We were just north of Sunflower a few miles when I saw a triangular object flying extremely fast, darting from east to west, north to south, south to east, etc. It was lit up like a Christmas tree ! It seemed to be able to stop on a dime (as it were)... I eventually looked at my two companions and asked them..."Did you see that ?" and both shook their head yes and were speechless. The object disappeared as quickly as it appeared. I would say the sighting lasted approximately 2-3 minutes...but seemed like forever. There is no doubt in my mind that what I saw was a UFO.

I Am A Bit Of A Skeptic

Dear Brian, you probably know me from the skeptic side and that I am the last person to judge or make an assumption. I rather seek more natural explanation before I admit a possibility of anything unusual.
I decided then to share with you the full story since I still have no idea what happened that night and perhaps you may have some explanation for it:

It was July 24 this year, late at night. (I am a night working person, reading, writing or studying). It was right before 2 AM when I let my dogs out to the front yard and then returned to my computer. A few minutes later I heard a commotion in the yard and opened the door to let the dogs in. On of them, a hairless bitch by the name of Galatea did not come back in, so I went out to look for her. I found her prostate on the patio and foaming at the mouth. Since I have seen some very large frogs by the house a couple days earlier I instantly realized what happened: Galatea licked the Buffoo frog !

She was moaning loudly in pain. I screamed at my son to call the poison control center. He did just that and was advised to run to the nearest emergency vet clinic right away. I could not find any emergency vet clinic at this hour in Green Valley and the closest was in Tucson. I was panicking. The dog was screaming in pain, but her body was stiff like a board. I called the 1 -800 Main Emergency (I think somewhere in MO) where they still have recording of my call and was told not to give epinephrine adrenaline booster which I was intending to give her) as it may kill the dog even faster and again I was urged to rush to the emergency center. I called one that was supposed to be open in Tucson and there was only a recording. I went back and washed the dog's mouth with a hose and later with milk but she was getting very cold. She was moaning now louder and louder and I knew she was dying as I have seen another dog dying from the poison. Her blood pressure was falling down. There really was nothing I could do. Even if I found a clinic in Tucson it was a two hour drive and the dog would be dead by then anyway. I covered her with the towels and waited.

In a desperation I turned back from her not to watch her agony and looked up toward the sky. At this instant I saw the light falling down. My first thought was that it was a shooting star, and the next that maybe it is a police helicopter called by the neighbors, upset by all this terrible noise. But this light just stopped (at which moment I called to my son standing behind me and attending to the dog to look up). Just above the tree, this light made a 90 degree turn and then rapidly in a perfectly straight line went toward the hill on the left of the house and before it even reached the side, just disappeared.

My son exclaimed: "And what was this ?"
I turned to him and then I saw suddenly Galatea moving from underneath the towels, getting up and walking up the stairs as nothing ever happened. It wasn't even me, but my son who said, "a miracle".

Arizona Red Lights

Tuesday, November, 1978

I saw a UFO on 4th Ave., extension, driving south. I was going to the KC Hall for a law enforcement meeting. It was hovering just above a citrus grove. All I saw was 2 huge red lights that seemed almost at a 90 degree angle to each other. Each light was shaped like a rectangle with rounded corners. At the time I just thought, "Oh, a UFO." I didn't know anything about investigations or UFO organizations. It was the second one I had seen (the 1st being about 5 years earlier in El Paso). On Thursday, I believe, I read in the Yuma Daily Sun that other people had seen UFOs on Wednesday. Their descriptions did not match mine. Now I don't know if any of these were triangle shaped but from the lights I saw I would assume the object was not round but some type of triangle or other geometric shape. Richard Landis, who was in charge of the Arizona DPS in Yuma at the time also saw this during the daylight. He told me that he was a pilot and that what he saw was not any type of conventional aircraft. He said that he got on his radio and told all his officers to look for it or watch it. Sorry I cannot be of more help. I am from Yuma and my folks still live there. Oh yes, my nephew who lives in Tucson saw a triangular shaped craft, which he said was huge, fly over a canyon outside Tucson. He was camping at the time. I will try to see if he can remember any more details.

Gilbert, Arizona

July 25, 2000, 8:50 PM

We observed two bright red glowing lights that were over Gilbert, AZ. and slightly north of Downtown Gilbert. They were slow moving. One light would go in and out and after about 8 minutes the one that was fading in and out dropped very rapidly while blinking on and off and disappeared below the tree line. The other light stayed in the same area for several more minutes, then blinked out. Approximately ten minutes, here appeared to be what we thought were military planes, four in a row moving east to west in the area that the lights were. It also appeared that the air traffic was re-routed as where the lights were observed is in the same area that the airplanes are routed to land at Sky Harbor Airport

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

June 30, 1996, 1:10 AM

I was leaving to go back to Alaska, and had been staying at my best friends house, Jeremy Stone, until his grandparents were to give me a ride to the Las Vegas Airport at 3:00 AM. We had stayed up all night and grew tiresome of listening to music and taking and decided to go outside and enjoy the desert moonlight and a midnight smoke. While they smoked their cigarettes, we all felt out of place and after a few more minutes of talking we headed back inside. When we went back inside at least over a half hour had gone by or more, and I told them we were missing time, but they called me crazy.

Later, after more boring talk, Jeremy suddenly was provoked to go outside and swim in the pool or something before I had to leave. It was around 1:10 AM and after going back outside onto the patio, our conversations suddenly grew quiet and me and Trevor could just a star at each other while Jeremy dangled his feet in the pool. Then he started screaming that the stars were doing circles in the sky. I told him he was crazy until Trevor saw it to, then I did. They were all doing pivoting circles in the sky. Totally impossible. Then, at the same time, we turned out heads toward the western horizon as if we were waiting to see something. And sure enough we did. Two craft were quickly approaching each other, one from the North and the other from the South, and were a greenish white haze shaped like an odd turtle shell. They came within about 5 miles of each other and began rising together vertically in the sky. At around 30,000 feet they fused together and became one craft and started continuing up again. At 60,000 feet they broke apart and hesitated again before rising some more to about 90,000 feet all within a minute or two.

Next they changed direction straight east towards us. They were still about 5 miles apart again, and of of the craft, both 10 times larger than a 747, was flying over the northern boundary of LHC, AZ., and the other over the desert. We were totally quiet during the entire sighting as one flew almost directly overhead. Underneath were 3 rows of 3 lights, and 1 single last pulsating white light. The lights in the rows were translucent colors and shades we had never seen before. The edges of the craft had a sharp cut to them and there was no glowing haze underneath the craft like what we saw from a distance.

They continued on towards Phoenix and I know we couldn't have been the only ones to see these craft. Lake Havasu is a party town, and it was a weekend, so there had to be many witnesses.

Apache Junction, Arizona

There has been a sighting here in Arizona and has been on our T.V. news with photos of it. It is the same thing I have seen for the past 3 years. I have always seen it over the Superstition Mountains. It is a bright light that moves up and down and side to side, the light changes colors and goes from bright to dim and then it is gone. I have always seen it in the early morning hours, this past week it was seen at 9:00 PM on Wednesday and Thursday. I saw it at 2:24 AM from my backyard on the same days. I would like to very much know what it is.

Tucson, Arizona

June 20, 1997, 5:00 PM

I was driving in town with allot of traffic on Alvernon Blvd., going south. A very large "delta" shaped object seemed to be landing at the Davis - Monthan AFB, but it seemed larger than any aircraft I'd ever seen. I realized I was 4 miles (or so) from the AFB, and the object seemed larger than I could imagine ! Another driver in the center lane even noticed and stopped in traffic ! We looked at each other and pointed to this object that must have been several city blocks long. It was gray/blue, like a military color. I pulled off to the side of the road in shock. I know an A-10 from a C-5 Galaxy, and this was nothing of the sorts. Any other reports of this item ? This was broad daylight ! It was not any USAF plane.

Streak Of Color

When I was around nine yrs old we were having a family birthday party at my house. My sister and I were at the kitchen table waiting for the refreshments to be served. I remember we were kneeling on chairs looking out the window. All of a sudden a streak of different colored lights (mostly red) flashed by speeding up our street. It seemed to be a couple of feet off the ground and certainly was going too fast for a car. It was over in maybe 2 seconds. I looked at my sister who was about 7 and asked her if she had seen it. She said no. But to this day I remember that experience. Was it a UFO? Why was I the only one who saw it? And why do I STILL remember it?

Tucson, Arizona

April 1, 2001, 5:05 PM

Returning South from Picacho Peak on Interstate 10 eight miles north of Marana Az on the way returning to Tucson hovering over the city I saw a craft that gave me a query in that it was 'static'. WE were passing under the Avra Valley over pass looking at this object that undisputably had no familiar confirmation as being a standard lighter than air-craft. Marana was approx. 10 miles (35 north of Tucson). As we got closer to Marana and allowing for my directional change of roadway we were made aware that it began moving (floating if you will)liesurely to the West and between Marana and the Tucson Mts. just west of I-10. As we approached the exit off I-10 into Marana (Greir Rd) I decided to exit to get a better view. We traveled west for 4 miles and met a dead end, exited our auto and watched it speeding up considerably and entered the distant cloud cover probably some fifty plus miles away. The skies were cloudless over it's hover-location as well as Marana. It's itinerary as I could discern that it traveled over the pencil of Tsn Mt's as they curved away from I-10 for about five miles.I wish to add that the confirmation of configuration is a typical saucer image with the dome over a concave/convex type body, exactly what has been drawn by others as well as the caricature craft we think of as being a 'flying saucer'. My interest being always aware of skies (WWII Air Corps Pilot/Bombardier).Refering to having learned and never forgotten..."keep your head up and your eyes moving" my only other experience was in August 1965 in Elgin-St.Charles area (specifically Wayne,Il)having seen something in the dead of night bright non-manmade light that hung over hi-power trans-con power lines ala the EXETER INCIDENT I later learned that brought me into Ufology and a member of MUFON here in Tucson. May I add that this was my wife of 54 years first sighting and I know is a firmer believer in this phenomenon than she ever was.

Sedona, AZ

April 4, 2001, 7:00 PM

I was sitting at my computer, my cat was in front of me on my desk. My window looks to the west. Sunset had occurred and I had noticed the pink clouds low on the horizon shortly before the event. It was approx. 7:10 or 7:15 and both my cat and I saw two fiery objects streak across the upper portion of the window (which would probably be about 70-90 degrees from the horizon. These two objects were moving from the south to north, low and it almost appeared that they were below the cloud level. They were both yellow-orange in color, and appeared to leave a trail or had a trail as the streaked across our line of vision. They were moving fast in a horizontal movement, slightly rising. They were almost parallel with each other, possibly one slightly postponed behind the first. It was not totally dark as I could see the clouds, yet the lights from the objects was bright, nearly as bright as the reflection a few minutes later of my interior fan light on the window. As soon as they streaked by, I said out loud to my cat, What was that! He had definitely noticed at the same time I had. I jumped up and ran into my living room so I could see the north exposure. (I live close to the Red Rocks at the uptown area of Sedona). I could see nothing in the darkening sky, except a few clouds. I would say it looked similar to rockets being fired--and/or meteorites, although I have never seen meteorites of that color or at that time of the evening--nor even in that particular movement horizontally across the sky.

NW Arkansas

May 27, 2000, 8:00 PM

I had my first sighting on Saturday night, the 27th of May at about 8:00 PM. As I sat with my girlfriend gazing at the stars on a particularly clear night, I noticed a light circling Mars in the high southern skies. I stared at it in disbelief thinking it must be a satellite of some sort. It just looked like a star, except that it was moving in a circular motion. I went inside to get a powerful telescope that I have, hoping to get a better look. As I was inside, my girlfriend exclaimed that I must hurry as it was moving across the sky. Of course, I didn't make it in time with my telescope.

Whatever it was it was moving at a phenomenal speed. It wasn't a satellite and it wasn't a plane. I don't know what it was-so it was my first UFO sighting.

Orange In Color

July 24, 1999 - 10:00 PM

Sacramento California around 10:00 PM. July 24, 1999. A friend of mine and I were going to dinner when we noticed what at first appeared to be a plane flying high in the sky. It caught my attention at first because it didn't look like an ordinary plane. It was disc shaped and orange in color. It flew from a southerly direction and a bunch of people gathered to observe it. The strange thing about it was that it dropped what appeared to be sparks from underneath. It was visible for a few moments then disappeared.

Last June 1998

June 1998, 2:30 PM

A UFO is an Object that flies and is Unidentified. Whatever theories the imagination of the viewer conjure relative to his personal experience in connection to a UFO sighting, are strictly his own - and the imagination is, indeed, a curious but interesting element making up part of that rational faculty which distinguishes terrestrial man from animal.

Last June,1998, at about 2:30 in the afternoon, I was sitting in the front yard of my home with two boys (10 and 12) soaking in the summer sun. From the distant horizon I saw emerge from behind a cluster of trees a dark dot that climbed into the sky and slowly headed toward the house. At first I thought it was a plane and thus I watched it as it continued flying at a regular, steady speed until it finally flew overhead.

This was no airplane ! It flew at a very low altitude (much lower than passenger planes that fly above in the skies here). I called my boy's attention to the object and asked them to describe what they saw: a circular, dark gray, metallic object. This was also my opinion. As the UFO lazily passed us, we clearly saw reflections of light on its underbelly as it tipped slightly to the right.

It was here, as it gently tipped, that we could see clearly distinguish the cupola on its top. If you can imagine two dinner plates on top of each other, lip to lip, with an upside down soup bowl on top, at the center, this is what we saw. It looked exactly like some photos I have seen of flying saucers in various publication. The object flew very slowly at a steady speed right across the sky and disappeared in the distant horizon. It made no noise whatsoever.

The interesting thing is how it absolutely attracted out undivided attention. An airplane or helicopter flying overhead is seen, heard, looked at and forgotten almost instantaneously because it is a common occurrence and everyone is familiar with these flying machines. Not so this strange object. It was extraordinary in its smoothness of light and in its eerie silence, extraordinary in every respect and it was not like something we had seen before. My great regret is not having either binoculars or a camera with me.

A Long Read Or A Short Shorty (Sighting)

I only have one story to share but it kept me thinking for a good 6 years now. A sighting can be very informative if the observer notes not only what was seen but also the circumstances under which it was seen. I used to work for an amusement park in California called Six Flags Magic Mountain. I was a junior in high school at the time and worked the summers and weekends during school. This weekend the forecast called for thunderstorms and a high probability of showers.

That Saturday I was on my lunch break when I sat in my usual quiet spot away from the crowds. It overlooked the intersection of the 1-5 freeway (north/south) and the 126 (east/west). My view was to the east and toward a small range of mountain/hills on the other side of the 1-5 (from where I was). The mountain range is about 200 feet in height. At its base now sits an extension to the original industrial center (at the time a small patch of crops were growing at this particular location.)

At lunch time there was a thunder storm moving from north to south It had already passed where I was but I could still see the lightening in the distance and the sky was entirely overcast. About 15 minutes after I sat down I had finished what I was eating and looked out at the freeway and at the range beyond, and then to the clouds. I was just passing the time I had away from my work when I saw something moving in the lower layer of the cloud formations. It was situated across the freeway and just above the mountain range (about 100 - 500 feet above the hill's peak). At first I thought it was a helicopter even though I didn't see a tail (one of it's most distinguishing features). But it didn't seem to be moving fast enough to get anywhere.

It was moving from north to south as though it were following the storm but obviously from a safe distance (or so it seemed). It was moving at only 1 to 2 miles an hour, but at a speed (non constant) different from that of the clouds around it (this is probably why it caught my eye). It was a grayish tone (maybe metallic), elliptical in shape, maybe 25 - 35 feet in length, and had no distinguishing extrusions. If it had any markings on its surface I couldn't see them from the distance (it still seemed close). Patches of cloud would make it appear and disappear over what was to be a 3 minute interval. I watched almost unblinking at what I couldn't identify. I don't know why but the thought of a balloon or a blimp never came to mind. It could have been one if not for one last awesome maneuver

I might also add that the only sounds I heard included the occasional yell from someone on a ride some distance away, light thunder to the south, and the low hum of the traffic on the 1-5.

After 3 minutes of this, the craft shot up into the clouds like it had been attached to some long extended rubber band that I couldn't see. The speed was so fast (and fact that the craft was already nearly engulfed by the clouds surrounding it) that, had I blinked, I would have certainly missed this last maneuver) this rules
out the possibility of a balloon or blimp). There was no deformation in the craft that  noticed in the 3 minutes that I watched it. What I did see however was the deformation of the clouds as they seemed to follow it into the upper atmosphere. This was the one key piece of information that convinced me what I saw was actually there. It also convinced me that what I was dealing with was not a craft of any kind I had ever seen. I thought this maneuver was the last of this sighting and that I'd never see anything this unusual again. (I was wrong).

I immediately looked at my watch hoping to record the exact date and time of the sighting, but all I could manage to remember was the placement of the second hand and only for a minute at that. This is why, I continue to look in awe over the freeway for some hope of an answer. Sixty seconds after the craft had shot into the clouds (at not quite a perpendicular to the ground plane trajectory) a small bolt of lightening struck exactly where the craft (above the hill's peak) had been situated. I was sure this was no coincidence and I've thought about this sighting (the only sighting I've ever had) for years.

Four UFO Sightings

I recently moved from California back to Ohio. In California I experienced four UFO sightings: a long, black/gray cigar shaped vehicle going incredibly fast and leaving no exhaust trails at all, two huge slow moving lights in the sky which stood still and then disappeared right before our eyes, and a very, very large bright object hovering in the middle of a canyon where we could also see helicopters (military ?) moving around the canyon and the vehicle. I am a true believer now. I feel the U.S. government knows exactly what is going on and it is a matter of time before they (are forced ?) to admit all, before the visitors do.
How fascinating , hope I am around to experience that one !

Creaston, California

June 14, 2000, 5:08 PM

I have seen this light three times now, once two years ago over the ocean at night, twice in the last six months in the Creston area. Every time it was night time. It's golden light which moves in any direction, I saw it appear out of now where and move in a direction and suddenly stop and drift the other way. The object stayed around for a while and drifted up into the sky in the same kind of sudden movements and got dim and faded away. About 5 to 10 minutes later it returned and continued it's moves. There is something happening around here as I know a few people who have seen it. A golden light, not a clear steady light but a weird flicker or something.

Santa Monica, California

June 19, 2000, 9:40 PM

I was walking my dog at about 9:40 PM, we live close to the beach, LAX and Santa Monica airport so I am always noticing airplanes in the sky. But a few minutes ago I saw a fast moving, totally silent, triangular flying object that wasn't as high as most of the planes I normally see. The shape of the thing was noticeable by the configuration of very dim (compared to most of the planes I normally see) lights lining up to form a wide triangle with a longish tail at the rear of the thing. I watched it for about 12 to 15 seconds as I was running to get my fiancee, but when I turned my head to run up the steps - and looked back it was gone. It wasn't like anything I've ever seen before.

Sacramento, California

April 18, 2000, 4:45 AM

On Tuesday morning at about 4:45 AM while driving North on Business 80 in Sacramento California, I saw what appeared to be an airplane coming in for a landing at Sacramento Airport. This is quite common so I thought nothing of it. What was unusual was the amount of time it took for this aircraft to pass. I thought maybe it was turning and coming in for another approach. I continued to drive and eventually the aircraft got closer to my position. I thought this was unusual since the airport was off in the northwest from my current position. The craft continued to approach slowly as I continued to drive. Eventually it was directly overhead. I looked up and saw a very large, dark, delta shaped object, which resembled a stealth bomber, but a little different. It was flying at about 500 feet overhead. I could make out the contours of the bottom of the object where lights were mounted and shadows created. I pulled over to the side of the road and rolled down the window to get a better look. The craft was flying very slowly over the freeway and made no noise. I watched the craft for a few seconds, and suddenly it accelerated at a very high rate. In an instant it was gone. And still, there was no noise.

Los Angeles

July 7, 2000, 9:10 PM

Friday, July 7, 9:10, over the ocean at Palos Verdes Penn. A very bright light in the sky with a beam shooting down toward the Earth, at first it appeared to be a helicopter with its search light, very, very bright. Then the light became so intense that it appeared to have a cross in it, suddenly the white light disappeared and a huge blue glow was in the sky for about 20 minutes until it faded. This was in the southwest portion of the sky

Monterey County, California

July 7, 2000, 11:35 PM

It was dusk so the sky was still fairly light when I saw an object moving across the sky about the same altitude a jet cruises through the sky. It looked like a large dot of light, almost like when looking at a falling star but it traveled in a horizontal direction. The dot of light cast a very large and wide beam of light as it traveled. Directly behind the moving object was a long cast of teal, green light that had a florescent like brightness to it. After about 20 seconds, the object suddenly turned off the beam of light and turned upwards and disappeared so that it was no longer recognizable amidst the stars in the sky. What remained was the strange teal light. It stayed in the sky for about twenty minutes. First as a long streak and then eventually diminished to the size of a small cloud.

Chico, California

My son and wife reported a sighting near Chico, California at approx, 9:00 PM PST. They thought it was a meteor shower. I thought it was the strangest one I had ever heard of or seen. Then a friend told me of the Art Bell reports. Then it made sense. They saw a large (maybe 1/2 inch in perspective) object trailing a long tail (2 inches) which broke into a number (5 - 7) smaller objects that remained if formation and on course. Two or three smaller objects appear to be discarded at that moment, they trailed behind and fell like spent fireworks. The objects all vanished from sight shortly after.

On 2/9 at 6:00 PM or so, they observed something that resembled one of the smaller objects trailing a tail in daylight. It flew across the whole sky and they lost track near the horizon. I am envious that they saw a UFO before I did, I have waited my whole life for one.

Santa Cruz, California

December 31, 1998, 3:00 AM

My sighting was on the morning of December 31, 1998. Once again we had been visiting for Christmas. We were on our way home, had stopped in Santa Cruz for the night, and had hit the road again at 3:00 AM.
At 3:15 AM we were on Highway 17 about six miles north of Santa Cruz. The sky was overcast, but the cloud bottoms were lit up from the city. A triangular craft but with the corners squared off passed over us at about 45 degrees and at altitude I would estimate as 2500 to 3000 AGL. I would estimate the craft to have been 300 feet long on a side with perhaps 30 windows (lights ?). down the side which were dim, and three lights on the blunt edges, white with a blue one in the center. It was very striking as there were no surface details, and the bottom of the craft was intensely black, much darker than the mountains it passed over.

Speed was around 50 kts or slower. It was not a conventional aircraft or free balloon, all the edges were razor straight, no lights on the bottom surface. It traveled blunt edge first, which I thought aerodynamically odd. I was driving at the time, no place to pullover, but I watched it for about 15 seconds on and off until it rose into the cloud base.

El Segundo, California

May 1989, 2:00 PM

California, May 1989, sunny day approximately 1400 hrs.....two UFOs were seen over El Segundo California Airforce space station. Me and my brother in law watched them approximately 3 minutes before they shot out in different directions at speed so high I couldn't give an estimate how fast they traveled. Funny never heard anything on the news or read anything in the papers about the incident. Keep in mind that was before the internet became a medium of providing. Anyway definitely something different.

La Verne, South California

7:50 PST

My name is Matt, I am 19, and live in Southern California, La Verne. I was sitting in my room talking to friends online, and playing a RPG MUD. My grandfather knocks on my door around 7:50 PST and says, "Want to see something interesting outside ?" I replied, "Sure". So we head outside, he did no even have to point out what he found interesting. As I looked up into the sky, I saw this object glowing red and heading in a direction fairly slow. It did not seem to perform any tactic or amazing feet that would defy physics or anything. It was not a star, or meteor or anything of that nature. I ruled that out when it changed directions and made a wide turn heading back the other direction. It was so beautiful, so wonderful. I was mesmerized by it; all the descriptive words in the dictionary could explain this unidentified object.

The intense red glow surrounded it. I said to my grandfather, "Get the digital camera !" Over and over again. I ran inside and told my mother and grandmother to come outside, and see this UFO. My grandfather brought me the camera, but the batteries were dead. We ran inside, put new batteries in. I snapped a picture of the object right as it wet behind some clouds (it is very cloudy today because of a storm yesterday that moved in). I snapped one picture of it, the digital camera is of poor quality without significant light, and the picture captured the object, but barely, and it is not red. The second picture I took was of the brightest star in the sky to determine where the object was flying, and also verify the time, and where the earth in orbit to my city. I might not have any evidence to prove my experience. I am not a redneck or anything, or seeking attention, and I barely listen to Art bell radio since he left. I also try to look at things scientifically and explain them first that way. However, I would like to share my experience and maybe someone else saw this, and got a picture. I can only determine by what I saw, that it was a manned craft. Possibly a top secret government aircraft, or the other extreme would be something not of this earth.

Car Sized UFOs, California

A friend and I was in Radisson Inn at Bel-Air California, we were at the pool when we saw something hovering through the air coming towards us. As it got right over us, it was about 500 feet in the air above us looking at it from the bottom. It looked like the bottom of a car with 4 parts of the object looking like the 4 wheels on a car. It appeared to look like fire shooting out the front like fire from jet boosters, but out the front ? There was no propellers like a helicopter and it had no wings like a plane, it was not cloudy, it was a clear sky and at night. It continued on over us and continued traveling in a straight forward (hovering like) path going about 20 MPH. We kept watching it until it traveled to far for us to see it. It did have a humming sound coming from it, it did not have any lights on it. Looking at it from the bottom, it was rectangular in shape as I said looking at the bottom of it. The size of the object, if I had to compare to a car size was about the size of the late 90's Cadillac car. Sorry these are the only descriptive features I have but my friend and I talked about it and we both agree on what we saw. We both saw the same thing back in 1994 around June.

Frank Altomonte Research Into ET Contact In L.A. In 1957

Corvina, California

July 7, 2000, 9:30 PM

The following was reported to me by my brother (extended family - he and his wife are my "brother and sister". Friday, July 7, 2000, around 9:30 PM, my brother, who lives in Covina, California, was taking out the trash. As he walked back towards the house, he noticed something moving towards the house. Within seconds, an object hovered over his house. He said it was larger than a helicopter, had no visible propellers, etc., was gray, had some blue lights. No wind nor sound came from the object. A beam of white light suddenly shone on him. He was frightened ! He called his wife but she did not hear him so he ran into the house to get her. By the time they both came outside, the object appeared to be miles high. All that was visible was a bright blue oval shape cloudy image. It remained there for a long time then disappeared. My brother reported this to me, this morning. His wife conformed that it was a bright oval shape against the dark sky and that it remained there for a long while. She said that my brother was shaking when he came in to get her.

This afternoon, I contacted my son in law, who told me that my daughter had seen a bright white object in the sky on the same evening (in Monrovia, CA, around the same time). My daughter confirmed this and said the large, bright light did not move and that it emitted a beam. She and her friend had joked that it was a UFO. (Neither believes in UFOs - My son in law and I do).

My grandson heard my conversation and he said that his friend Andy (who lives in ElMonte, CA) had seen a light in the sky of Friday, the same time, but that he had been told it was a missile exploding. I had him contact Andy, who said his grandma (a very religious person and non UFO believer) had seen it. I spoke with her and she confirmed seeing a large white light, surrounded by a bluish cloud/mist on the same night at the same time. She said at first she thought it might be a religious experience but then noted that this light remained there and then there was a large white flash. She said it was reported on TV that something had gone wrong with a missile and it had been exploded.

All of the above was related to me at different times by different individuals who had not been in contact with each other. I can testify to the honestly of the individuals who saw the object/light. None believed in UFOs (but are now thinking that there are visitors out there). My brother is convinced the object that hovered over his house was a UFO and he is frightened.
