I asked Mrs. Stewart what she had witnessed, she went on to tell me she was laying in bed a wake with the drapes closed over when a "really bright white light" lit up the whole room. Joanna said it frightened her, but still got up slowly and approached the window carefully. She pulled over the side of the drapes and looked out to see a "HUGE" very bright light. As the object moved very slowly across their farm, it shone a beam of white light towards the ground behind their home in a large field. She started to lose sight of the object, so she moved from the bedroom to the living room and watched the object fly "slowly" across their field, across Boundary Road and onto their neighbors farm where she finally lost sight of it. She said the object moved completely in silence and went on to describe the beam of light as if someone held a flashlight upside down pointing downwards. Joanna said it was as if the sun was out, but within a circle on the ground. (Investigators Note: I received a report this year (2002) from a witness south of Burns Lake, a small farming community called Grassy Plains which is across Francois Lake. This witness went on to tell me of a similar object which did exactly the same thing Joanna saw, or described. This may or may not have anything to do with one another, but both reports would be in the right time frame).

Daylight sighting:
(From the sounds of things, this sighting took place close to the July 29, 2002 sighting in Telkwa, Houston, Quick and Smithers, British Columbia. I hope to have the exact date from the third witness.)
There are three witnesses to this sighting in Smithers, B.C.. I have talked to two of the folks who watched the object, and waiting to hear from the third, and will update when I do. The first report below is from witness number #1:
I talked with a gentleman today, August 10, 2002 about a sighting which was reported to me and the Smithers Interior Newspaper. I asked of course what it was he had witnessed. This fellow is a logging contractor in the area and seems to be a very truthful man. He actually was very surprised and for the life of him, still can't figure out what it was he saw.
His description of the object: He said it looked like an oak barrel in shape and made of metal , he guessed the object was approx: 15 feet in height and 10 feet across. From his vantage point (approx: 2000 feet away - altitude). He said there were two projections sticking out from the center of the object, approx: three feet a part and darker in color away from the main body of the craft.
The fellow said it had quite a remarkable speed to it, in his estimation the craft was cursing at approx: 300 kilometers which was faster than the small aircraft they see in the area. Also he said there was no sound from the object and it did pass right overhead of him. It flew along side the Smithers airport heading in a southwesterly direction. He described the object as being metallic in color. And again said it was darker in the middle and rotating in the center.
Witness #2
A friend called me outside to look at something as she was very excited. The witness said she did not see it right away. She explained that she looked and looked around in the area where her friend was pointing, and went on to say it was like she had to get her eyes focused to see it. The object was at the right of the airport flying in a southwesterly direction. She said the object was diffidently round in shape and silver (metallic) in color. While they were watching this object, it up and disappeared instantly. I asked approximately what the size of the object may have been. She said it would have been close to the size of a normal wall clock at a approximate distance of a kilometer and a half away.
I asked this her the date the event took place, she said her friend (deleted by HBCC UFO) would know for sure. But she guesses it would have been around two weeks ago. (Investigators Note: If the time frame is correct, then the object they seen would have been right around the same time (July 29, 2002) in which 9 witnessed, in different locations watched a HUGE glowing object fly down the valley. She also said there no sound coming from the object.

When I downloaded the camera that night in Burns Lake, I saw the disk shaped object in the middle.
Anyways, it is just total fluke that I got this thing on camera. I think that these things are travelling so fast, nobody gets a chance to see these, unless they stop, or if it's at night (if they have lights).
((NUFORC Note: We have examined the photos sent by the witness. They are high quality photos, but the image of an anomalous object appears to us to be ambiguous. Our guess would be that the object is a large bird, possibly an eagle, flying away from the camera. However, the photographer responds that in the original digital photo, it clearly is not a bird. The witness has been directed to Dr. Jeff Sainio, and Dr. Bruce Maccabee to have them look at the photo. We will seek permission to post the photo to our homepage. PD

Bright Lights
I got up Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m., to start a new day, wondering what this day might bring. The Prince Rupert Daily newspaper called which took a telephone interview with me on the sightings here in northern British Columbia. Then CIVI Television called also wanting to do an interview for their half hour prime time slot. This of course was to be on UFOs. Gavin McLeod, Vice President of UFO*BC, Gordon Stewart, one of the witnesses from the July 29, 2002 sighting, and myself took part in the program answering the questions which were asked of us all. It was interesting and went very well.
After the interview was completed my wife and I ran out the door as we were heading out for dinner with friends. After our evening out we arrived back home where I had two answering machine messages waiting for me. One was of interest, as a logger telephoned to tell me that he had been seeing strange, bright white lights when he was 64 kilometers out on a logging cut block. The logger wanted to know if I wanted to go out and investigate what he was seeing. On his message the fellow left instruction as to where to meet him at 3:00 a.m., if I was interested in looking for myself, which I was.
I managed to grab about an hour and a half worth of sleep, and left the house just a little before 3:00 a.m. and drove to the scales at Houston Forest Products where I was then picked up by the witness in his logging truck. On our way out we discussed what he had been seeing over the last few nights, which I was really interested in after knowing what had taken place over the last while. We reached the area where his logging truck was to be loaded, it also was a crystal clear night and I could see for miles.
The fellow pointed in the direction as to where he was seeing the lights, and I watched. The time was 4:10 a.m. when I first spotted a dim white light flying slowly across the sky just above the horizon towards Morice Mountain, then a huge bright white light caught my attention. It was if an aircraft was close to us, and shone his spotlight (landing lights) in our direction it was so bright. I watched the light for about 5 seconds before it dropped below the mountain. The logger said this had been going on for the last two days prior to me being out there. It was not an aircraft, meteor, satellite, etc.. What it was is a mystery to me. The logger also said, he and some of his co-workers when working on this cut block had been watching normal aircraft running all over the area, at the wee hours of the morning at low attitude, which I will say is certainly strange. There is nothing out there, other than the mountains and a carpet of trees. I talked with a Button Top operator who stopped working to chat with me, and he said himself, and others have been seeing all kinds of strange lights flying in different direction, doing strange maneuvers for sometime now. I kept my eyes on the sky before we had to leave, plus sunrise was also close. I seen nothing else after witnessing the one bright light plus the dim one.
This logger, and loader operator both told me that on August 14, they watched two lights, one they thought was an aircraft as it did have strobe lights on it, and the other just a fast dot of white light. Both of these lights were flying towards each other and as they got close, the witnesses said it appeared as if they were circling each other over a large distance before the white dot left in a south westerly direction and was followed by what they thought was a normal aircraft of some kind. They lost sight of both object as they flew overtop and behind the mountains.

Well today I received a package through Fed- Ex from Jaime Maussan a journalist in Mexico. He received the tape from a Mexican Surgeon who was on holiday in Vancouver, B.C. last December, 2001. The tape has never been seen before, and I can say it is really interesting. Jamie really did a wonderful job editing the tape for me in which I appreciate very much. The surgeon was traveling across a major bridge in the Vancouver area, he was driving and a companion was video taping the scenery as they had a good view from the bridge. The passenger was shooting tape from the passenger side of the car, and tuned the camera over to the drivers side as the sun was catching the mountains which does look very beautiful. It is early morning on a cool crisp day and as the passenger zoomed in on the mountains a object appeared.
Now from what I see, and I am not an expert with images. The object is round and appears to be rotating. The sun catches it well. With no obstruction in the field of view the passenger had while taking the video, the object completely vanished, then reappeared while it traveled along, it again vanished and re-appeared. The passengers in the car did not even see the object until later when they were playing back their holiday footage. The object I would say would have been a good size, due to the distance away when the video was taken.
It also traveled at a good clip.
So I am going to get some stills made from the video in the next while and will then post the images of this object.
Also for anyone not getting this, I should also have a good photo from some campers who took a photo of a strange object here in northern B.C. I am told that they were very surprised when they saw it, but thought quick enough to grab their camera and fire of some shots. So I will also post these for your examination.

I spoke today (September 5, 2002) with two people. One was the witness who watched an extremely bright light ( a large mass) flying very slowly over their farm, and the sister of this gentleman who was the one who informed me of this event.
The witnesses sister told me about an event that took place back on May 19, 2002 on her brothers farm in Telkwa, British Columbia, Canada. The sister lives in Smithers, B.C. and works for a well known business and of course wanted to remain anonymous. She filled me in with a little information in which her brother had told to her after the May 19, experience, and how it effected him mentally after seeing what he saw. I asked her if she thought her brother might talk to me about what happened, and she said she would call him, it wasn't long afterwards when the witness did call. One of the first things he asked was, would I have an explanation to what he had seen.
The witness went on to say that he went to bed around 11:30 p.m. on May 19, 2002 and was woken up approx an hour and a half later due to his dogs barking like crazy, he mentioned it was normal for them to bark at coyotes which are around the farm howling at night, or other wildlife which crosses their fields. The witness said the dogs also were acting up more than normal, and they did sound rather stressed at something, so he got up out of bed to see what was bothering the dogs, also telling them to be quiet.
As he walked through the kitchen towards the back door, we noticed a bright glow of white light coming in through the kitchen window. ( Investigator note: I know exactly where his property is, as I was just out in the neighborhood just recently interviewing witnesses from the July 29, 2002 sighting. There are no street lights in his area and the occasional light from a neighbor's farm in the distance.)
He went outside and walked out looking to see where this light was coming from. Over the field and approx: 1000 feet up, a large mass of white light was slowly moving across the sky heading in a northwesterly direction. (I asked just how fast was the mass of light moving, his example of the speed was, "it moved a fast a small Ultra-light aircraft or close to it"). The witness said the whole field, trees, home, and barns were all bathed in this white light. He watched this for a few seconds, then called his pets and ran back into his home.
Now when I talked with his sister, I asked if he reported the sighting to anyone after it happened, such as the RCMP in Smithers. Now she thinks he did, so I am assuming he mentioned this to her. But when I asked him, he said he had not told anyone other than his family. (HBCC Note: When I dropped by the RCMP detachment about a month ago, they did not have any other sighting reports on file, as I asked. Mind you, I knew they had one other report as they took the details off of me and opened a file on it.).
The witness did not want to go into it much more. But his sister did tell me that he was a mess after the encounter. She said the whole family had not believed in UFOs to speak of, but did always wonderful if there could be some form of life out "there". She also said it took him months to finally deal with it, and get back to a somewhat normal routine.

(HBCC UFO - Note) I still don't have a lot on this sighting, but this is the little I received from the newspaper. Two brothers were outside when the notice a bight white object at a low level moving slowly across the sky. One of the brothers went next door and had his neighbor come out to watch the object. It took approx: 10 - 15 seconds to pass from their view. According to the newspaper the brothers, said it was no plane they knew of.

Meziadin Junction, British Columbia

I ran into a lady who works in our (deleted), she asked if I had received a sighting report from Meziadin Junction, British Columbia. I told her no, so she gave me the little she did know about it.
Three witnesses, two Arrow transport trucks hauling concentrated mineral from the Huckleberry mine (which is just located approx: 80 kilometers outside of Houston, B.C.) spotted a large bright object in a stationary position below the horizon of the mountains. The object was ringed with different colored lights. Both trucks pulled over to the side of Highway #37 and turned the ignition off and sat and watched the object for approx: 10 minutes before it rose up slightly and moved down the valley and out of their line of sight.
I am still trying to get a hold of the witness for a more detailed report.

A lone witness reported seeing two solid objects traveling together at a low level out from the Prince Rupert harbor. The objects stopped at one point, made a quick turn heading northeast toward Khutzeymateen Park. (HBCC UFO Note - Again, I am waiting for details on this sighting and hope to have them soon.

A witness telephoned me last night and told me he had just witnessed a couple of "green - transparent" balls of light traveling in a southwesterly direction at a low level. I asked the witness if he could give me an approx: altitude the green lights were at. He guessed they could have been around ten thousand feet or so.

I just came back from (deleted by HBCC UFO) office and I did hear there that one of the Planning Forester's father, who delivers (deleted)in Northern BC, did have a daylight sighting of a silvery disk inside of Houston, BC. This event took place 14 days ago. I confirmed with the Planning Forester the correctness of the statement and he asked me to forward your phone # which I have done already.

In between 2120 to 2250hrs the following observations were made from my
place in Thornhill,BC:
1. 2140hrs UFO, greyish-white colour spotted towards the East moved towards
the South East. Did change intensity of light (brightness) 4 times and
disappeared into ?
2. 2149hrs UFO, same one ?, showed up at the location of first sighting,
this time brighter in colour means white and flew off towards to South
East.
3. 2153hrs UFO, approximately 20 degrees to the North from location 1&2 did
show up for 2 times up close, triple Venus size, for roughly 2-4 seconds and
remained invisible.
4. 2212hrs Object without light at close range 150-200metres above my place
low with low speed. Hard to tell the actual size but it was solid not like
the poison green or cherry red translucent balls of close range appearance
and it had a round shape.
5. 2223hrs. Big silver-white " Blinks " to the North East.
6 .2241hrs. 2 Objects approximately 2 finger wide apart spotted in southern
direction and moving in fast speed towards the East without changing light
intensity or speed.
Houston, British Columbia - More Witnesses Come Forward !
I just talked with a fellow who run a excavator out in the same area, (Chisholm Road, 64 Kilometers out from Houston, B.C.) in which the bottom report covers. Actually this logging operation is located approx: 6 miles away from the location reported below. For around a month now "everyone" working on this cut block have seen all kinds of strange lights running around in the wee hours on the morning. Due to the high risk of forest fires the crews have been on an early shift, which starts around 3:00 a.m.
Many of the crew working on this new cut block have reported seeing bright objects traveling one way, only to have an aircraft come from the opposite direction and make a turn to follow the unknown object.
The witness I have talked with said as mentioned above, been going on for around a month or so. I asked where a bouts in the sky was this taking place, he said over around Morice mountain ,which was reported to me by the fellows in the earlier post.
With so many reports being received this year, some 81 or 82 to date, I have to wonder what is taking place here. Keep in mind, last year I believe I only had 5 or 6 reports for the whole year of 2001 for British Columbia. This year in approx: 6 months time, all has gone nuts.

20 Foot Scorced Circle - Moose Carcass Found Inside of Circle
Also while I am here, I talked with a witness by way of telephone and email, this is the strange one where a moose carcass was found in the middle of a 20 foot scorched circle. A friend had called me last week to ask the witnesses some question about this case, asking if the tree trunks were burnt, needles, or leaves up high on the trees may have been also burnt, or scorched. From what the second witness told me, all sides of the tree, meaning the side of the trees which faced the circle were indeed burnt all the way down from the top, to the trunk of the trees. But again, only the one side.
Now I know from some earlier cases I have read, the area sometimes will have no growth within the circle, due to some strange phenomena happening. So I am hoping this may be the case with this one. Also he said there were cut marks on the bones of the animal. (I guess anything could have made these, from teeth from wild animals eating the meat, etc..).
Both reports below have a connection to one another.

I had a telephone call from a lady telling me she had witnessed something really strange, and that it had really frightened her. She also told me that she had taken video tape of the object as it was heading away from her location, which was in a southwesterly direction. I made arrangements for the same day to visit and interview her over what she saw. I arrived at the witnesses home (farm) and was greeted by a very pleasant lady, she asked me into their home and we discussed what it was she had seen.
She said at approx: 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, August 23, 2002 she was at the kitchen sink washing up the days dishes and looking out the window which over looks their large farm. He eyes caught a large bright light heading down behind the trees, which was at the far end of the families farm. She told me she could clearly see the shape of the object, and it was cylinder in shape. Shinny and metallic in color.
To her surprise the object looped around and headed back up into the sky.
At this time of the evening, it was still quite light out, and she had no problem in seeing it. She ran a grabbed her video camera and took some film of the object as it departed the area.
The witness brought out her video camera and showed me what it was she captured on the tape, and I must say I was really surprised. My first thought when I saw the object on the tape, was that maybe it was a meteor, but after hearing her explanation of the events this ruled out my thoughts on what it might have been.
If I had to explain what this object looked like, it looked exactly like one of the many movies we see of T.V., where a comet is heading towards earth with a contrail from the tip of it and running a short distance off the back end of it. But the contrail, if one wants to call it that, had another very shot tail coming out the back end, right in the center. It almost gave the impression of the flames coming from a fighter aircraft. But no flames could be seen with this object. The object was massive, and very bright.
It also moved across the sky rather slowly.
After I viewed the tape, the witness said, we are not finished yet. She went on to tell me that about a half hour later, while she was finishing off the dishes she was working on, she watched another "large bright white" object rise up from behind the Telkwa mountain range. She said straight up, in other words from the base of the mountain heading to the top and then stopped and hovered. Again she ran to grab her video camera, and started filming this object. After she watched it rise up from behind the mountain, the object moved to the right along the top of the range. ( HBCC UFO Note: this is where the video camera ran out of tape, but the witness did think to run and grab another blank tape, and started rolling again).
When she started filming the object once again, it had already reached the end of the mountain range, and was dropping down, but following the contour of the mountain. She filmed it until it went down behind the tress on her property which blocked the view of the object. The mountain range is at some distance away from the family's farm across the Bulkley Valley. I wondered if it might be something explainable, but from her description of the event, I soon ruled that out.
The witness dropped into my home the next day to drop off a couple of things I had left behind after the interview and she was still rather frightened due to not knowing what this object was. She said it gave her the creeps and hoped I would be able to come up with a reasonable explanation to what it was, just to make her feel better about the whole experience.

On Friday, September 20, 2002 I received an email from a couple who told me about what they witnessed on August 23, 2002. I never put two and two together until I received the photos they took of the object (s) Saturday morning. I darn near fell off my chair as the old brain started working. The witnesses who sent in the report for the area of Francois Lake, British Columbia watched the exactly same object on the same evening as did the Houston resident. The only difference was in the time, some two hours later when they watched the object sitting stationary in the early evening sky. The witnesses have told me they sat and watched the objects for approx: 15 minutes with the naked eye and with binoculars.

Hi ...just adding my story to your list of sightings....I don't believe in space ships etc but did see something I did not understand or have an explanation for. On August 23rd about 9:00 p.m. just before dark my husband decided he wanted to take a picture of the sunset at the west end of Francois Lake looking west up the valley to Nadina Mtn. We drove down to the bridge over the river there and he got out and spent several minutes taking 3 or 4 shots of the sky to the west. While he was doing this I stayed in the car and watched the sky...thinking that I could see just the smallest sliver of a moon peeking from behind the trees...when he got back into the car, I said something to my husband about getting the moon in a sunset shot and he said what?? that is impossible the moon can't be in that part of the sky what are you thinking?? So I said look at that sliver of light next to the trees it has been there the whole time you were taking pictures, if it isn't the moon what is it?
He asked if it had moved ...I said no not at all...then while we were looking at it the light did start to move westward we both watched and puzzled over this for several minutes then I said that he should try and get a picture of what ever it was...he grabbed his binoculars first and we spent a couple more minutes trying to see what it was that we were looking at...finally as it was moving farther off he snapped a picture of this light that we could not define and then we left. Today we got the pictures developed and there is this light far off but still obviously incandesant and to our surprise we find two other similar but more distant lights in the photo. I will forward a picture to you when I can get it scanned...I see you have had one other report from Francois Lake....can you tell me what that one was about? Bye now...(my husband and I wish to remain nameless)

Daylight Sighting
A Houston resident telephoned me this morning, October 3, 2002 and reported seeing a very strange object traveling slowly in a southwesterly direction. The witness was on her telephone talking with her daughter, she was looking out their kitchen window which faces the Telkwa mountain range. She noticed a strange, pale yellow colored object traveling slowly below the horizon of the mountain range. She said it was completely "round". The sky was clear, except for some low cloud/fog in some areas. But the location where she observed the object, the weather conditions were clear. The witness told her daughter to hold on, dropped the telephone and ran outside onto their patio deck to get a better look at it. At this time the object rose up against the sky line, but still continued along it's path, which again was in a southwesterly direction heading towards the Morice River Road. (HBCC Note: This year, in 2002 there has been a lot of UFO activity taking place in the same area).
She said there were no wings or propellers which would indicate the object being a normal aircraft, again she said it was completely round.
Now if I have any luck going for me, today I do the weekly radio show with CJFW FM and I hope others will hear the radio show, and if they have seen this object, they will make a report to me. It was busy as usual in town, and loggers are running around the Morice River Road area, so I am sure someone else would have witnessed this as well. I will contact the local helicopter operators to see if they, or someone may have been flying in that area where the object was spotted, and at the time of 10:15 a.m.
I will keep you updated if anything else should come in on this sighting.

A Houston resident told me today that on August 13, 2002 from her home, which is located on the slopes of Mount Harry Davis, she was shutting everything down for the night when something very strange caught her eye. She explained while closing her drapes over she watched a large, glowing orange object which sat stationary at the foot of Morice Mountain which is across the Valley and directly south of Houston, B.C.. From her home, Morice Mountain is in a southerly direction. Her first thought it may have been a small forest fire. But as she observed the object it began to move slowly along the base of the mountain in a easterly direction. After a couple of minutes it swung more to the south heading up the valley, or the old Equity Mine road. The witness said she lost sight of it as it flew behind some of the smaller hills in that area. The witness is very credible. She also went on to say she has never seen anything like it.

Since I am heading to visit my dad in Langley, B.C., I figured I had better get what hair I have left cut. I sat down in the barber shop waiting my turn, which wasn't a very long wait. The Barber asked me how things were going, so I filled her in on a few things about what has been going on here in the north, she mentioned she seen my articles in the newspaper which made her think to tell me of what her, and her husband had seen on August 3, 2002.
The couple live 2 kilometers south off Highway #16 on a road which is called Bold Road. I use to have a small parcel of land on the same road, so I know the area well. She went on to tell me they had been sitting outside and her husband caught sight of an "extremely large" white colored ball of light, which was traveling slowly in a northerly direction coming from the Morice Valley area. He told his wife to look quickly as he wanted her to see the object. The witness first thought it may have been a aircraft with landing lights on. But within a second or two he soon ruled this out due to the size of it. Both witnesses said it was brighter than the moon, and was approx: half the size. I asked if they could give me a rough idea to how high this object was, they both guessed it could have been around 4,000 or so. They got the estimation on the altitude from looking at Morice Mountain which is only a few miles behind their property and can easily be seen as the mountain runs above timberline.
Both of these folks went on the say while the object was almost straight over head from their position, it changed direction "quickly" (a sharp turn) to an easterly direction and continued along it's path until it was out of view due to all the trees in the area. The whole event last approx: 20 to 25 seconds.

Hungry Hill - 15 Miles West of Houston, British Columbia

Time: 9:45 p.m.
Wedged shaped object.
A resident from Telkwa, British Columbia was heading to work (graveyard shift) in Houston, B.C. at one of our local sawmills when he spotted, in his words. "An object shaped like a piece of pie" ! He also said it had three white lights at each of the corners, or "fins" as he put it. The witness also said he lives under the flight path for the Smithers airport, and had not ever seen an object of this type or shape fly over head in the past, so seeing this was very unusual. When his eyes caught it he turned into a pull out area, or rest spot they have at the top of Hungry Hill to watch it, mainly to see what it was going to do, or to try to figure out what it was he was watching.
He also said the object sat and hovered in one place approx: 200 feet up from the base of Grouse Mountain and did not make a sound that he could hear. He was stopped at this time, out of his vehicle, standing watching what ever this was. He also mentioned that it looked as if the object was tucked in around a farm which was in the valley just a little north west of his location. I asked him what color it was, he said "black. The witness said he could clearly see the silhouette of it, this is why he was so sure of what shape it was. I asked if he had some kind of idea how large this craft was, he came back with it being approx: 40 feet across. He watched the object move off in a westerly direction towards Quick and Telkwa, B.C. The witness said he had enough, as it bothered him and got back into his vehicle and got out of the area quickly.
HBCC UFO Note: I am planning to go and talk to some of the farmers/ranchers in the area where this was seen, just in case they had noticed anything strange around the area on the date given above. With so much going on in this area, I might get lucky and come up with a different report. I will keep everyone posted.

Hungry Hill - 15 Miles West of Houston, British Columbia

Time: approx: 8:30 p.m.
I receive word from a friend, that he had heard about a sighting which took place on Hungry Hill which is approx: 15 Miles West of Houston, B.C. An older couple were on their way home to Topley, B.C. (which is approx: 13 miles east of Houston) from shopping in Smithers, B.C. . They were coming up Hungry Hill (which is a long steep grade) when one of the witnesses saw a green/red flashing. She said it would flash from red to green, and then green to red according to this lady. She said to her husband, who was driving their car, do you see what I see ? He said yes I do !
(HBCC UFO Note: The witness mentioned to me, that she told her husband we had better not tell anyone as they would think we were crazy).
They both said the object moved slowly above the tree line near the top of the hill, she said it would stop, hover, and continue moving slowly, then disappear. As they drove along the object reappeared, still just above the tree tops, and then moved across the highway in front of them and again came to a complete stop. At this point they stopped their car and watched the strange object, moving back and forth across the highway still just above tree top level. Before the object left the location, it started trailing "sparkly stuff" behind it, which shot out approx: 100 to 200 feet and left in a northwesterly direction which would have been towards Grouse Mountain. The object was circular in shape, or what they could see from the flashing of the lights.
Both witnesses said there was no noise, or interference on the radio, they said they heard no noise what so ever. (HBCC UFO Note: The two folks who watched this, and mentioned to me they could not hear any sounds from the object, this could have been due to them driving along in their car with the radio on. But after they pulled over, the husband did get out of the vehicle and still reported no sound from it. He explained, whatever it was, was very close, just a head of them and kept crossing the highway).
Both witnesses said the object was approx: the size of the old satellite dishes, (C - Band, which is approx: 10 to 12 feet in diameter. They still use this C - Band system and this is why they used this to determine a size for it).
Before I finished the conversation with them, they both stressed that the object would move back and forth across the highway, and when it reached either side, it stopped and hovered for a couple seconds, and then fly back across the highway to the other side. This whole process took about 10 minutes before it left the area and when leaving, it moved very quickly.

Mount Roche de Boule in Hazelton, B. C.

Witness #1
It might be nothing, but during the last week of July 2002, myself and 2 others seen a bright almost white, well lit object in the sky going passed Mount Roche de Boule in Hazelton. What was weird about it, was that the object was bright and made no sound. It was approximately 10:50 in the evening, and the cloud ceiling was below the peak of the mountain that evening.
It was clearly seen going in a straight line thru the clouds, almost like it was heading towards the Smithers area. I thought it was weird because the clouds were so low that if it were a small plane you would see the red or green? flashing lights on the tail of the plane and hear the drone of a motor. Also what struck me was the speed in which the object was traveling, kinda fast for a small plane, and the cloud ceiling was also low. We'd seen it go almost under and thru the clouds and come out again, so the cloud ceiling could not have been that high, maybe 3000 feet?

I remember that the sky was still sort of pink we were celebrating the other guys birthday. It popped out from the left side of the mountains. (name deleted by HBCC UFO) noticed that it didn't make any noise I never thought anything of it till he mentioned it so we watched it fly towards the clouds which were low at about 1 mile up. I remember talking to the others about how low the clouds were. We watched it go into the clouds , it never came out the other side I figured that it disappeared. That is the best that I can remember.

Kitwanga, British Columbia

Time: 6:30 p.m.
A fellow telephoned me tonight (November 3, 2002) to tell me what it was that he and three other witnesses watched while on their way home from their work place. They were approx: 22 kilometers outside of Kitwanga on the mitt-in-main forestry road when they saw a bright, yellowish/white light with a "beam" coming from the bottom of it. (The witness I talked with said the beam of light was like if you were holding a flashlight and shinning it in a fog). The witness said they saw it for approx: 3 seconds before it disappeared.
I asked what direction the light was moving in before it disappeared The witness said it did not move, but stayed in the one position and then just disappeared. At the distance they were at, they said the light was small in size.
I asked if I would be able to telephone the other three witnesses who saw this event, so he is going to contact each of them in hopes I can get their reports.

A neighbor came over and knocked on my door this evening ( November 4, 2002 ) and told me he just watched a strange light cross the sky underneath the cloud cover. Before he came in the house I turned off the outside light and it was certainly over cast. "The witness went on to explain what he saw", I just walked out the door and was going to get into my car when he noticed a bright, white, saucer/oval shaped object moving across the sky very quickly. There was no tail associated with it. What ever it was, was heading in an easterly direction at a rather low altitude. The sighting lasted for approx: 6 seconds before he lost sight of it as it flew over top a small local mountain. The witness reported hearing no sound from this object. I asked the witness for an approx: size of this object, he said it was really hard to say, but said it was of a good size and very bright white in color.

The witness, on his way to his work place reported seeing a white disc shaped object traveling slowly above and behind the local super market. He explained the object was very, very bright. Also it was not very high up and told me there is a mountain a little bit behind the market and the object was traveling below the peaks.

A fellow and his girlfriend were sky watching and witnessed a "large", silver colored disc, they said it was approx: three times larger than their home in their estimation. The object was up rather high and traveled along very quickly.
Sunset Lake - 15 minutes east from Houston, British Columbia

A family watched a bright white glowing object staying stationary above Sunset Lake. They told me there was no sound from it. They also told me it was not a planet or the moon, due to the overcast sky. After about a couple of minutes the object rose up, moved erratically and disappeared in a southerly direction.
They said this they will never forget.

Witness contacted me saying he had witnessed a number of white, lights traveling across the night sky at a really high altitude. His description of the object was, - white pin point lights traveling slowly across the star lit sky. ( HBCC UFO Note: I believe these were nothing more than satellites).
