RUPERT GILES: One time librarian, this seemingly boring brit (excuse the term) has much more than just knowledge of the dewey decimal system. He's done it all, from getting nuzzled by the draccy-babes in the chick pit, to beating a demon over the head with a statue of a fertility goddess.Giles co-owns the magick shop, where "People accually pay for things they don't plan to return".  Hopefully, he has more longevity than the average magick shop owner. He has since helped Buffy train, helped her deal with the departure of Riley (no    easy jokes on that one from me...LOL), and heard much of Anya's "disturbing     sex talk."....poor Giles. Seriously, no one needs to know what she and Xander do... At any rate, Giles has always been a father figure to Buffy, ever since she accepted the guy as such. This was especially important when Buffy's mom (who slept with Giles once, but they were under a demonic spell, so.....) died. Giles was the 2nd person she called, right after the paramedics. Giles, after killing Ben and burying Buffy, had returned to England to work things out. He returned a week later...only to leave again. Here's hoping for a good series "The Watcher" and for many, many crossovers. Anyways, here's to an absolutely cool Watcher.

WESLEY WHYNDAM-PRYCE: At one point, he was Faith's Watcher and (almost) Cordelia's boyfriend. Now he works at Angel Investigations, helping to kill all the sidekick type demons, and getting on Gunn's nerves. He seems to be like me in that respect. I get on everyones nerves. Anyway, just before he was hired at AI, he was a Rogue Demon Hunter (what is a rogue demon, anyway?) and wore black leather. That had to chafe on his motorcycle. Ouch. Had taken Doyle's place in many respects, including getting in on   the demon info superhighway (aka: a demon karaoke bar and a bunch of owed favours) and finding out hearsay about where to locate new demons in Cordy's visions. Angel has returned to the agency, after going postal. Gunn, Cordy, and our Rogue Watcher have accepted him, but now he works for them, and not vice-virsa. Gunn & Cordelia voted Wes into Angel's old job. Good move. After a brief stint in Pylea (Krev'Lorne Swath of the Death-Wa Clan a.k.a The Caritas Host's home dimension) Wesley got a new look, with a haircut more like mine, and an attitude more worthy of his newfound leadership role. Good for him. Here's to another great Rogue Watcher, and here's hoping that he'll stay in the country....and get a really cool flamethrower. More to come soon.
