A few days after he was put down,
feeling kind of blue,
I put it on, and
Coltrane was there,
Cannonball.
1959 again...days of
Freddie the Freeloader and
flamenco sketches of blue in green
or all blues,
the first jazz this boy had ever heard.

Really heard!

So what?
I had Miles to go man,
Miles to go.
