In all Four Seasons
With the steady lengthening of every day
and the always gentle warming of the earth
as buds and blossoms spring onward toward May
with grand and glorious, replenishing rebirth
My thoughts , my love, I freely turn
to you.
In the unrelenting heat of sun's embrace
or in the wake of cool evening shower,
This season's fullest finery now in place
with nightly passion bursting in full flower,
My thoughts , my love, I always spend
on you.
Seems time moves faster, nights grow cooler still
The frost has come, but flowers still offer blooms
The harvest of that we've sown our wakings fill,
and sleep sounds now more often fill night rooms,
But my thoughts , my friend, as ever stay
with you.
Now cold winds grasp, the leaves are swept away,
no buds or blades of grass tell all to come.
Yet beauty, peace be found in white and gray,
and of four seasons' memories add the sum.
My memories, my love, will always live
with you.
