 Joan (Davidson) Maclin.
I remain in the Twin Cities having arrived here in 1974 fresh out of law school.  In my work life, I am VP and General Counsel to The Scoular Company,  a privately-held
company in the commodity and ingredient merchandising business.  In my personal life, I am single but pretty much attached, and also am the mother of 21-year old Molly who is now a student at the University of California at Santa Barbara (though thinking of a transfer
to UCLA).  My brother and sister have spoken for themselves, but I should add that our parents are doing quite well for folks in their 80's, and give us good reason to visit Iowa City as often as we can.  Boy has it changed in 30 years!

     I really enjoyed the all-U-High reunion several years ago and hope that this wonderful new website will make casual encounters much easier for all of us.  I noticed that some faculty members are being added, and think this is a great opportunity for them to see and hear that the pearls of wisdom they planted so many years ago are still thriving.  Only the passage of time and witness to the challenges of today's educational systems can really reveal how very lucky we were to have them as teachers and mentors.
