I graduated with the class of 1956, although I spent freshman,
sophomore, and junior years with the class of 1957 and graduated early.
I did a BA in English & creative writing at Iowa, and my graduate
degrees in drama at Iowa.  I have developed a specialty in studying
Italian theatre and have spent a year in Italy on a Fulbright and
nineteen summers there for a studies abroad program I conducted.  I teach
playwritng and theatre history at the University of Georgia where I am
head of the Department of Drama.
