The purpose of this course is to develop a knowledge of the major developments in the theatrical history of more than one culture, an ability to interpret play scripts, an understanding of the audience, acting techniques, and of the basic processes of theatrical production. The content should include, but not be limited to, the historical perspective of theater, multicultural awareness, and the study of theater through analysis, performance, and individual theater performance skill development.
