For this assignment you must maintain a scrapbook. To get a passing mark you must provide at least two articles a week, every week. Photocopies of articles are not acceptable.

It should be clearly stated with each article the date of the article and the source from where the article was acquired.

The maintenance of the scrapbook must be continuous!

Articles must be relevant to and stress economics. Be careful that they do not have either a management or a finance basis. Some relevant topics are as follows:

Demand and Supply topics
OPEC
Currencies
Economic evaluation/predictions
Foreign Economies
Economic Statistics

In addition to each article, you must provide an article write-up. This write-up should be only a few lines long (100 words). In the write-up you should summarize the article and state its economic significance. The content should be explained. Generally, your aim in the write-up is to show me what you have learned.

The evaluation of your scrapbook will take consideration of:

--completion
--variety of topics
--variety of sources
--effort and neatness
--title page
--organization
--highlighted articles
--quality of write-ups
--english usage and spelling
--consistent collection and dating

A maximum of 5 articles can be taken from the Internet. They all will be considered one source.

Your scrapbook will be collected more than once. You will be given a week's notice. Your progress will be evaluated each time and these interim marks will be considered in your final scrapbook mark.
