Match 1: Grandmasta' Mike vs. Sinn
How will GMM handle a non-hardcore
match? Well u will see here as a "no weapons"
rule has been set for this entire UHW U.S. Title Tournament.
Mike started out the match by
surprisingly overpowering Sinn as he threw the big man to the
ground out of a collar & elbow tie-up. That only
lasted for a moment though as Sinn got up and retaliated by
delivering a nearly decapitating clothesline. A dazed GMM
stood up only to receive a gut wrench powerbomb from Sinn.
Sinn pinned Mike but only got a 2 count. Mike got up and
landed a few kicks followed by a DDT. Mike went to punch
Sinn, but he ducked it & landed one of his own, which
knocked GMM to the ground. Sinn put Mike into a single leg
crab. Sinn picked up Mike's hat off the ground and mocked
Mike. That only pissed Mike off and enabled him to land a
dropkick to Sinn as he was showboating. Sinn tried to gain
the momentum back by throwing a lowblow then giving GMM a
bulldog as he was on his knees. Sinn tried to end the
match there with a pin, but only got a 2 count again. Sinn
picked Mike up and gave him "The Sinn-plex".
Somehow Mike got up and caught Sinn with a DDT. Mike then
pinned Sinn, but Sinn kicked out at 2. Mike walks over to
the crowd and tries to pump them up, which gave Sinn time to get
up and sneak behind Mike to give GMM a short arm
clothesline. Sinn dragged Mike over to the bleachers where
Sinn climbed up and landed "The Sinn-ton" for the
first time ever. Sinn goes for the pin but Mike manages to
get out of it at 2. Sinn picks Mike up and was going to
give GMM the "666", but instead Sinn tells Mike take
his best shot to Sinn's face. Mike took the shot and dazed
Sinn for only a short while as he gets right back up and gives
GMM a bulldog. Sinn tried to take advantage of Mike being
on the ground by applying "The Sacrifice" to
Mike. It worked as Mike tapped out to Sinn's special
submission.
Match 2: Torment vs. Highlight
Torment showed up to this event
expecting to get a bye in the first round because Matt Ball
didn't schedule an opponent for him. Highlight arrived at the UHW arena
looking for a job from UHW Owner Matt Ball. Highlight was granted
a job in the UHW as well as a match that very day in the U.S.
Title Tournament. The only surprise:
Highlight's match would be the very next match, which was
already beginning as they spoke. Torment's bye round now
became a challenge!
Torment quickly gained control of the
match by taking Highlight down with a headlock takeover.
Torment picked Highlight up and then slammed him back down with
a suplex. Highlight then landed a low blow to
Torment as he was picking him up off the ground. Highlight
then does a routine DDT to Torment. Highlight then applied
"The Focal Point". Highlight let Torment out of
it, but Highlight wanted him to submit so he applied "The
Focal Point" once again. Torment somehow made his way
to his feet while still in "The Focal Point" then
dropped to the ground to do some type of stunner to
Highlight. Torment gave Highlight a leg drop while he was
still on the ground. Torment goes for the pin but only
gets a 2 count. Torment then picked Highlight up and scoop
slammed Highlight to the ground. Torment decides to apply
his submission, "The Breaking Point", to
Highlight then. The two get up and Highlight blocks
Torment's punch and knocked Torment to the ground with a series
of punches. Highlight then clotheslined Torment as he got
up. Highlight went for the pin but got a 2 count.
Torment then clotheslines Highlight as he gets up. Torment
picked a dazed Highlight up and gave him a huge powerbomb.
Torment thinking he had the match won with that pinned Highlight
but Highlight somehow rolled out of it at 2. Highlight
then caught Torment off guard with his patented "Flying
Cross Body-Block". Highlight then scoop slammed
Torment to the ground. Highlight goes for the pin but only
gets a 2 count. Torment gives Highlight a low blow, which
gives Torment time to set up and deliver one of his finishers,
"The Last Regards", to Highlight. Torment
pins Highlight for a 3 count to win the match.
Match 3: Hazard w/ Minion vs. Whiplash
How will these two rookies perform in
their debut match in the UHW? An interesting story to
watch in this match will be how our smallest superstar,
Whiplash, will do
against possibly our biggest superstar, Hazard.
The match started with a tie-up and
Hazard overpowering Whiplash to the ground, but Whiplash breaks
the tie-up by quickly kicking Hazard. Whiplash then goes
for a cross body-block, but is caught in mid-air by Hazard, who
scoop slammed Whiplash to the ground. Hazard picked
Whiplash up and gave him an atomic drop. Hazard starts
mouthing off to the crowd which gave Whiplash enough time to
take the big man down with a dropkick to the back of Hazard's
knee. Whiplash then gave Hazard a bulldog as he was
down. Then Whiplash did a standing frog splash to the big
Hazard while he was somewhat dazed on the ground. Whiplash
goes for the pin but only got a 2 count. Hazard got up
almost un-phased and turned the tide of the match by whipping
Whiplash into some chairs lying against the gazebo. Hazard
pinned Whiplash but only for a 2 count. Hazard gets pissed
at the ref for the count and pushes the ref down. While
the referee isn't looking, Hazard's manager, Minion, comes in
and gives Whiplash an eye rake. Hazard takes advantage by
grabbing Whiplash and getting him in "The
Breakdown", Hazard's finisher. Hazard wins the
match by pinning Whiplash for a 3 count.
Match 4: Sinn vs. Torment (U.S.
Title Match)
Another match up of big vs.
small. Can Sinn overpower Torment, or will Torment find a
way to bring Sinn down to his level? Two of our biggest
superstars square off here for the most prestigious title in the
UHW.
Sinn shows his power from the start by
throwing Torment to the ground out of a tie-up. Torment
quickly gets up though only to walk into a big boot from
Sinn. Sinn picks Torment up off the ground and gives
Torment "The Sinn-plex". Sinn continues with the
onslaught by picking Torment up completely vertical then power slamming
him down. Sinn starts playing off to the crowd &
Torment surprises Sinn from behind by kicking him to his knees
then ramming his head into the railing of the gazebo.
Torment does a "Snap-Suplex" to Sinn. Then
Torment tries to make Sinn submit by putting him in "The
Breaking Point". While Sinn is lying on the ground
Torment puts Sinn into a camel clutch, but Sinn throws Torment
off his back easily. When the two get up Torment ducks a
punch from Sinn and lands a jump kick in return. Torment
does "The Static Kick" to Sinn from off the
bleachers. Torment picks Sinn up and walks him to the
bleachers then Torment does a bulldog off the bleachers to
Sinn. Torment climbs back onto the bleachers for a third
time & jumps off into one of his finishers, "The Last
Resort". Torment pins Sinn for a 3 count and wins the
match.
After the match though, Sinn finds a
sledgehammer under the gazebo. He picks it up and stares
Torment down with probably the intentions of it and Torment's
head meeting. But suddenly Highlight's music hits, and he
comes running out of the back to give Sinn a "Flying Cross
Body-Block". Torment drags Sinn over near the
bleachers and gives Sinn a russian leg-sweep. Highlight
runs up the bleachers, jumps off & lands his finisher,
"The HiGhLiGhT Reel" on Sinn. Highlight then
stands over Sinn's body and slaps Sinn in the face. Then
Highlight and Torment walk off together.
What will UHW's next match have in
store. Are Torment & Highlight friends now? Or
did Highlight just come out to embarass Sinn? How will the
rookies do next event? Will Grandmasta' Mike be able to
use his hardcore tactics again? You'll have to come out
and see what will happen next in the UHW!
