Random,,,
Be led astray by the disturbing and intriguing thoughts dished out from my unsteady mind...
Poetry
Well, here you are. Have a jolly good time. Even TRY to rip off my poems....and I'll KEEL you! Not that they are worth ripping off, but whatever.
Frozen
I hear the call,
Pulling at my senses, tugging at my instinct:
Fly, fly.
Ascending, becoming one with hundreds, thousands,
Unified, with one purpose:
To escape the lifeless arches of branches
And buried, extinguished life.
Outrun the stretching ice,
The cold, blue fingers of Demeter,
They reach out, to freeze all in her path.
Fly, fly.
Hundreds tire, descend without will,
Hardened to lifeless, crystallized husks,
To a predestined, icy tomb, they fall.
I fly on.
A feeling of a determined presence,
Coming from behind.
My senses do not lie,
For the furious storm of ice is upon me.
Gleaming black wings immobilized,
The iridescent, white frost is spreading.
Like pins, pricking me all over,
I cannot move.
I am a raven, frozen in flight.
Sinking
Unsure of reality, I kiss the light,
As it fades from view, without a trace.
I reach out, beg for its return,
But the light is no more.
Fear and regret purge my soul,
Of once joyful feelings, and bliss.
I sink into the shroud of darkness,
Unbeknownst to all, and aware of nothing.
I feel hopeless, and continue to plunge.
It seems like there is no way out,
And I’m drowning.
But I never forget the light.
A memory finds refuge in my mind,
And I am endowed with the gift of simple acceptance.
I smile despite the hurt,
And submerge lower into the depths in which I cannot breathe.
The darkness shatters, and shafts of light glitter through.
I sigh…for the darkness was the doubt in my soul.
The wall shatters, and I float through,
Weightless, I am illuminated,
Illuminated by hope.
Digits
I blink,
And the world has collapsed.
I can no longer see the sky,
For we’ve been all been infected,
And I’m the only one who can behold this horrifying secret.
We no longer need to feel,
Simply to exist, to be filed away.
We are a lost case, this planet.
We’ve been given up on.
I’m the only one,
Why just me?
The code upon my hand,
Is it a sign from long ago?
This is a mistake.
People no longer have free will,
They are simply digits, scattered from elements once called “souls”.
They work diligently,
And I am invisible to all.
This world is infected.
I’m exclusive to the immunity,
Which isn’t much to show at all.
What can I do?
Churning
The gears of time are turning,
What will I do?
What path will I take?
Everything is so unclear.
I’m pretty sure this is what I love,
But should I be doing this?
Time’s getting ahead of me,
And I can only keep up for so long.
Why aren’t you there?
I won’t give up on fantasy.
It will become reality,
And only I can make it happen.
Time goes on,
And I make the best of it with you.
The world churns in my mind’s eye,
My dreams never lie,
And they whisper to me that
You’re just over the hill.
Please wait for me…
Looming Fate
I run, through the long tunnel,
slick with rainwater,
Hoping to find you.
It seems to stretch on forever,
This tunnel of hardships,
But I can see the light.
I approach the opening,
Heart beating in my chest.
I see the vague outline,
Of someone there, watching me.
Is it you?
I run faster, my hope building.
Just steps away, I slip and fall.
You disappear.
I land hard, but hope you will return,
To help me,
To simply be with me.
Pushing myself up, I hear your cry.
What’s happening?
I long to see you.
Wait.
The rain cascades on me.
Outside the tunnel, once again.
I search frantically for you,
But see nothing.
Is it still going on?
Why aren’t you there?
Come back, so we can hold each other again.
Through the silver sheets of rain,
I finally see you.
Lying on the ground.
I find something crumpled in your hand,
My fist clenches in rage,
Hot tears scald my cheeks.
Why did you do this to me?
Walking
Strolling along, one summer evening,
I stop to gaze at the sky,
with all it’s shining gems,
And I think of you.
You’re so far away,
And you left me with nothing,
But a promise.
Every night you visit my dreams,
Filled with warm embraces.
I open my eyes,
Only to find the breeze caressing my cheek.
I long for you,
For your sweet touch.
I know you’ll keep your promise.
I’ll never forget,
As I stand here, below the trees,
Accompanied by the warm air,
The sweet perfume of the night flowers,
And my silent thoughts.
I know you’ll come back.
I will be waiting, right here.
Out
Put it out,
It's killing everything.
Pumping in vain,
trying to warn all.
Put it out,
resist the flow
of seemingly second nature.
Stop it now.
It's choking everything,
smothering the life out of all,
squeezing tighter,
it never ceases.
The power to terminate
lies inches away,
But it cannot be grasped.
It does not wish to be reached.
The mind blows over,
the struggle floats in the void of cessation,
And the suffering continues.
It will continue to push
this possibility into focus,
tirelessly, until all life is extinguished,
and the heart can pump no more.
Fire Song
This force is pulling me down,
I’ve no means to reach up.
I’m meant to be here.
Stifling silence pounds in my ears,
My fingers are numb
Something is stirring,
Yanking at my heart with bonds unbreakable.
Burning, roaring, hissing,
The emotions speak through me.
Erupting, flames licking at my body from deep inside.
It’s stinging, rising,
Breaking loose.
The song has begun.
Notes scorch my throat,
An immortal blaze, deep within.
Wincing, I smile at you.
Each note feeds the flame,
But I’ll learn another for you.
The outer shell cast off,
I soar, through the heat,
Voice ringing, the volume building.
Stanza after stanza,
The my voice halts at a sound.
It’s your sweet voice, singing back to me,
And those infernal bonds melt when I look into your eyes.
