Day 9

Here are some more pictures in Donegal Town. This is the town center. My dad and I had quite a discussion about this one. He thought I had taken it on one side of the town center, I thought I had taken it on the other side. I was pretty stubborn. I even managed to make out what the road signs said (which would have proven him right) and I still wasn't ready to admit that I was wrong. What finally did it? See the white van parked by the street? That was a blood transfusion services van. I remembered exactly where I was in town when I passed it (don't ask me how). That's what finally got me to admit that I had been wrong. Not street signs, oh no, but the location of a blood-sucking white van.

And this would be Bridge St. The bridge was pretty... and the billboard on that yellow building really amused me. Notice the close up. "Use the force. Luc." I have no idea what Luc is.. but I like the billboard.

Here are some pictures of Donegal Castle, almost the last place we visited on the trip (with the exception of a famine graveyard, also in Donegal). This was the only castle where we were allowed to take pictures inside. Woot. Unfortunately, we never went inside of the manner house (the second picture). *coughs* Dad and I were talking to the tour guide and, though I love castles, I decided that I had seen enough castles that it would be more interesting to continue the discussion with the cute Irish guy (who had a lovely Donegal accent) all the way back out than to remind dad that we still had part of a historical site to explore. . . . Well, wouldn't you?

Day 10

Here is the last picture I took in Ireland, and pretty much my last view of Ireland. Boy do I wish I'd taken more pictures. I think it's time to take another trip to get some of the shots I missed. ;)
