I have included this item just to show that it isn't just the Gulf War veterans who are habitually ignored and swindled by the MOD. The MOD and the government of the day ( no matter what flavour ) are happy to commit our forces to help out in trouble spots throughout the world but when the proverbial hits the fan they are only too quick to absolve themselves of any responsibility or duty. It is such a shame that the leaders aren't as big and giving as the men and women who serve our country and frequently give their all. It is also unfortunate that only when the popular press gets involved do we see any justice, charity, commonsense and goodwill from our leaders. Thankfully the MOD have now made an offer of settlement in this case, how many others are waiting in the wings ? |
