| News from your new trail boss. This year I hope we can explore many new trails together. Toward that goal, I would like anyone who knows of a good local trail along which they would be willing to guide us, please call me so we can put a ride together. Not having realized I needed to be getting into action before the end of the year, I don’t have a lengthy list of choices for all of you yet. However, we have the following scheduled: Monday, November 17th Eliza Davis will lead a 2 hour ride in Wunderlee Canyon located close to her barn in Sherwood. (Evie Wiltbank’s on Edie Road). Since this is on private property, we are limiting the ride to the first 10 riders who sign up. Please call Eliza Davis or email her to let her know you will be coming and get directions. (I have ridden this area with her and it is terrific). Tuesday, November 25th, get in shape for turkey. Jean Erickson will lead a “conditioning” ride at Tryon Creek State Park. Meet at the parking lot at the park at 10am. Be prepared to do some extended trotting! Call or email Jean at, if you have questions. Note that I ride when it is raining (Radar thinks he looks good in my yellow rain poncho!) Wednesday,December 31st, Kathy Levy will lead her annual end of the year ride at Tryon Creek State Park. Plan to meet in the parking lot at 10am. It’s traditional to bring goodies to share! Thursday, New Years DAY, Kathy will lead her annual ride at McGiver State Park. Meet at the horse parking lot at 11am. Bring your smoothest horse in case you partied too much the night before! Kena Ramsey is planning to help coordinate weekday rides, so call her if you have ideas.
