COLLECTABLE MODELS

The following Derek models are taken from his F1, Sportscar and Touring Car careers. A number of the models were made by the Vitesse Group under their Onyx brand. This company went into liquidation in April 2001, therefore, the original Onyx models are no longer made which has boosted their value to collectors. Subsequently, the Sun Star Group acquired certain assets of the Vitesse Group including some moulds and the brand name. Sun Star has now re-launched the Vitesse brand. Very simple, well cast resin kits that are suitable for newcomers to 1:43 modelling. Decals prone to cracking so it is advisable to treat with a liquid decal film as a precaution before use. Built model usually quite well finished. Made in France.
