This picture was taken during my very first karate tournament.The venue was a public Sports centre in Fuchu, a small town a few miles west of Tokyo. The photographer, my friend and sparring partner, Michael (pictured below) accompanied me along with my wife. I was very grateful for their support, especially in carrying me home after I broke my foot. |
