Star Bridge - Bridge of Leaps, Mostar, BiH September 1998 by Tom Ryan

Harmonic vocalisation comes out of the sound scape of people in Siberia and in our historic era from the practice of Tuvan people. It is also found in the song practice of Mongolians, Tibetians, and further west in the song practices of Ukranian and Russian choral work. Harmonic and overtone practice is to be heard in singing throughout eastern Europe.
I heard it first on recordings sent from America that were made by David Hykes and his choir in the 1970'ties and early 1980'ties.
The first recordings were done by Eamonn Hehir and James Hanley and finished at James Hanleys studio, between 1997 & 2000. Recent recordings were recorded in studio by Stuart Gray
It was made intending that it complete within the span of a breath.
