About the Author,
Ul'Gala'Ka joined ShadowClan in the later half of the cycle of the Thrak-Ghaash Warboss G'Haarg. Spending most of his time sleeping he was rarely seen out and about. During the end of Grugluk's reign in the clan Ul'Gala'Ka started popping about, just in time for the Dreaded Cook Gromas to lead the clan into Trinsic. It was about this time Ul became friends with Buurz'Faugh, who was at the time the strongest gruntee in the fort, and the other gruntee Womp-R Stump'er (the current BloodMoon nob), fond memories of 15 gruntees raiding an enemy tower, one of the gruntees screaming "Grunteez ub duum!". Another grunteehood memory was being clomped many a time by the Biter Crud'thud. During the month of Gromas' reign as boss much changed around the fort, due to the opening of the Siege Perilous shard......At Ul's first drinkie fest he was present for he watched the Throquat Blood Lusk-R Buurz'Lusk take the cape (at the time he was also having a UO "blackout" and didn't even knew he had won until after!)
One of my most prominent memories in my gruntee life was when the tribeless Womp-R Thunk'Glug (the current Thrak-Ghaash Nob) took Ul to the Ogba shrine for the first time for his Gu quest, after thoroughly educating Ul on ogba I became addicted to ShadowClan. Another pinnacle that would change Ul's life in SC forever was when Gaakh-Mat took Ul and another gruntee to the dungeon Wrong for his Ug quest. This started a long friendship. Ul'Gala'Ka and Gaakh-Mat were always together about the fort. Not long after Ul was confronted by the Blood Womp-R at the time, the mighty Gor'bladz. After a question or two Ul came out of the grunt hut wearing brown boots.
I wasted no time, Ul earned his Gu boots from Gor'bladz by taking the gruntee Glub'frug (who later became a Thrak-Ghaash) to the ogba shrine and instructing her as Thunk did Ul. As time passed Ul was introduced by Gaakh to the Howling Skulls Nob Ug'RugRat. After much praise from Ul and Gaakh, Ug'RugRat tribed Ul'Gala'Ka a Howling Skull, Ul, Ruggie, Gaakh and Gor'bladz were present for the event.
Before I knew it Gaakh-Mat had become warboss, and shortly after into his term Gor'bladz stepped down from Blood Womp-R and named Gaakh-Mat his replacement. Towards the end of the month Gaakh had to leave UO for a time. At this point G'Haarg returned from a long absence, and much computer trouble. He was quickly named Thrak-Ghaash Nob and began instructing Ul on his Ug quest to the pit of Wrong and much more private womp-r things. Ul became a Ug Womp-R shortly after. Also Ul undertook a quest to become a lata'mahk, and the Namahk G'Haarg gave him his quest to cleanse the Lost Lands orc fort in the name of the wargod. Fidgit the Ghaashie Mojoka and the tribeless Mogda'Glubb and a few gruntees came for the trip. A few weeks later Ul decided to show off his Womp-R abilities and led a Womp-R fest at the old orc post. Gaakh-Mat (still the blood womp-r) showed up and awarded Ul the rank of Wa during Orgok's reign as warboss (who later became a member of the Wahju Uruk-Hai) After the Festival G'Haarg named Ul a Lata'mahk (the first ever Howling Skulls orc to be a Mahk), along with Thrak-Ghaash's Grom'Slugga and BloodMoon's Stump'er (the current Namahk) Another significant fact for Ul in this month was Gor'bladz was named Howling Skulls Nob by Ug'RugRat and Kar'Grula.
It was the month of December, and time for the Drinkie Fest. The significance of this fest was it was Ul's turn to clomp for warboss. Unfortunately the clomp was won by the Thrak-Ghaash GugBrug, and afterward the Wargod appeared at the fest in the form of a Daemon and told the orcs that the shardies wanted their fort back, and so began the second Shardie War! Full of ettins, trolls, ogres and ogre lords, shardies of all kinds and after that every type of elemental. After a furious battle the Orc King showed himself and was killed by the orcs after speaking with GugBrug.
(As soon as I get it off my old HD i'll post a few pictures from the battle here!)
Anyway, the next month Ul clomped for boss again, this time the BloodMoon Argg won the clomp, even so Ul was guardless and still was the last opponent to fall! A month later was the time, Ul'Gala'Ka emerged victorious as Warboss with his guards Ovoriki'nuh and Or'Kahn (February 2000). Ul led his trip that night into the pit of Hythloth, and emerged only after taking part in the killing of a Lord of the Abyss Balron. Ul's first real trip was to the Lost Lands desert to fight with the Ophidian forces!
Some of the Orcs present included the Blood K'Igg-R at the time Ki'laka, Qub'mugg, Smug'ruk and the HedBiter Nob Rel'Gall (WooHah!)
Ul also attacked Britain, and then led a 2 day siege on Trinsic, battling with such fiends as the grotesque Juo'nar (Who at the time led the Undead forces of Minax and controlled Trinsic). More detailed information and pictures on all events during Ul's cycle as boss can be seen in the Ul'Gala'Ka is da Boss Archive! Some of the pictures may not work but on with the tale....
After Ul had led the clan for a month Gaakh-Mat stepped down (March 2000) and Ul'Gala'Ka was named the new Blood Womp-R, a position he held for over a year. The position was also held by some of the greatest orcs in ShadowClan history including T'berog and Gor'bladz. Who knew many months ago that Ul would be the one promoting one of his mentors Thunk'Glug to Wa! Another event in Ul's orcish life was the cycle of BludGhaash, where 2 warbosses were present and Ul put his mahk apron down.....For good...... maybe..... Later on Ul'Gala'Ka was promoted to Nob of the Howling Skulls tribe. Much happened to Ul and i've seen some great and not so great times, including the biggest change, the Felucca/Trammel facet update which changed RP on Catskills forever. In any case i'm still here working to better the Clan and promote having fun, the first rule of ShadowClan! And to close, here is a rare photo of Ul on the smallest island in UO wearing his Mahk apron, praying for Gaakh-Mat to return to the clan (which he did not long after)
