At first, I thought Miyagi was just like any other short people, a reserved player for the team, but actually, he is in the Shohoku team, which surprises me.  I had always thought that short people had no advantage in basketball... but Miyagi made me change, made me realize that short people too can be an excellent player at basketball.

The game that made me change was against Shoyo, last year's one of the four leading teams in Kangawa.  It was so hard to see any chances of winning against all those tall opponents, but Miyagi was so fast and small that it made it easy for him to slip between them.  Of course being short had loads of disadvantages, like letting the ball into the hands of the opponent when he passed it, but he would swiftly tackle them and get the ball back.  Watching him do that made me feel that someday I'll be just like him.

After that, I've took interest of Miyagi and asked Sakuragi senpai for some information on Miyagi's private life... (he he he) (He thought I was a spy then, and gave me a few head-butts, ouch~!)  Anyway, I found out from him that Miyagi is in love with Shohoku's manager, Ayako!! (Sakuragi Senpai told me not to mention his name in this, oh well! Ouch~!)  Miyagi fell in love with her the first time he saw her, that was in first year, but he hadn't had enough courage to tell Ayako.  However, he did tried to tell her by his actions, but she didn't give any hint that she liked him too.  This is why he tried several times to forget about Ayako by going out with other girls, but it didn't work.  Miyagi puts all of his effort into Shohoku to help them win because seeing Ayako smile is the most happiest thing in his life.  I wonder, will I need to do the same if I want to be like Miyagi?  It seems that Ayako is very important to him, and I will never understand...
