RACE REPORTS
from Jacksonville, Florida on February 14-16, 2003
Hey just go back from rounds 3&4 of Florida's State Qualifiers at Jacksonville, Florida "Home of The Monster Mile." The track was awesome. The jumps especially on second straight were so easy. The weather was trying to scare us away all weekend, but it didn't happen until Sunday when there was 13 mains remaining. Overall this weekend was the best. Friday, I got to the track at about 11am. So I did the Profile Racing Skills clinic because I get more practice on the track than normal practice. After practice we went to the Ramada Inn hotel to check in. The hotel was the best. The Profile gang was there along with other people such as: Joker J, Bobby Owens, Ryan Magin (Roadkill rider), team members of 24-7 Concepts with team manager Geoffe Ssengoba missing in action (MIA), and J&R Bicycles. We all just hung around the parking lot and rode. Saturday morning we went to Denny's for breakfast then to the track. We ended up getting to the track late for practice. I only did one session but I still made up the track time by riding extra hard in practice. Racing finally began and the motos started. I got 2-2-3 and didn't make the main. I didn't get mad that I didn't make the main. We all packed up and went to eat at Western Sizzlin'. The food was awesome. Force Racing was also there. I ended up getting in trouble because Travis Fernandes blamed me for putting the spoon for the fudge in the caramel bin so I hit him and I said, "He deserved it" and that's when I got in trouble. I had to stay in the room the whole night. Got up early Sunday morning to get Dunkin' Donuts. I was still mad about the incident so I took it out in the motos. Rain was still threatening to fall. I ended up getting 3-1-1 and 6th in the main which counted as a cap. Ten minutes after my main the rain came pooring down. I was in the middle of getting my plaque.I took photos but they came out a little blurry for the first time taking pictures. The way home from Jacksonville was crazy with the rain. Water was up to the middle of most of the hubcaps on cars. SPECIAL THANKS TO BMXSTATZ.COM FOR THE PHOTO BELOW!!!
