Overall, the game is okay. Graphics aren't nearly as nice as I had hoped for them to be. Most of the story is just a series of mini-games, basically. I also own Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkiban for Gamecube, and I must say that it was much easier to control, and especially easier to frequently cast spells. Although when I first started playing the game I was on my mom's laptop, which made the game seem slower, and definitely made a bad first impression on me. Now that I have switched from her laptop to mine, the movement is quicker, the spell casting is quicker, and it's just overall better. The spells are mouse-activated (but you can change it under controller options/settings), which makes casting a whole lot harder on a touch pad rather than a normal mouse. I recommend that if you are using a laptop when you get this game that you buy a USB mouse. (which luckily I found in my mom's laptop bag!) Overall 9 0f 10.
Walkthrough
(Heading home from the park with “Big D”.) Dementors start to attack you and “Big D” all you have to do is click the left mouse button to draw your wand and then move the mouse around to cast “Expecto Patronum”, you should only have to cast it 3-4 times.
(You appear next at the house of the Order) You learn how to cast your first two spells “Depulso” and “Accio”, [Insert pictures of mouse movements] to help Ginny move all the furniture from one side of the room to the other. Then you’ll meet up with Hermione in the Kitchen/Dining area and she and Sirius Black will teach you how to cast the spell “Reparo”, first you’ll use it on the dishes on the table as well as the cabinet-like furniture against the wall. You’ll meet with Ron afterwards to help him pack all of his stuff using “Wingardium Leviosa.”After that Sirius will tell you that you should go meet up with your friends while he attends an Order meeting.
?Next thing you know you’re at Hogwarts. You’ll first have to meet Ginny, and she’ll tell you that Fred and George have gotten something taken away from them and she’ll want you to go retrieve it in Professor Umbridge’s Office for her with your invisibility cloak.
Dean Thomas: Finding the Gargoyles Probably the first one that you’ll want to talk to is the on right in the courtyard your standing in. If you head toward the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, part of the way up the stairs there is a gargoyle on your right. When you go find Colin Creevy and help him get his camera back, if you go up the stairs (that you’ll have to repair with “Reparo”) and you go to the end of the walkway you’ll find another gargoyle. If you go to the Vladuct you’ll also find another gargoyle near there. The last gargoyle is on the fourth floor, I’m not sure exactly where, but you’ll hear Hermione say that she thinks there’s a talking gargoyle near there.
that's not all, but that's all that you should have trouble with.
