You might be wondering why I put "El bastardo de plastico" at the top of my page....
As you will see, most figures that come out of Mexico are bootlegs that are made by unnamed factories or in some cases individuals using the same mold for each figure (sort of like Jakks, but with a lower standard of quality). Some of the figures you will see within this site are cool, some suck beyond belief. Regardless of the quality, I'm such a mark for the flashy costumes of the Luchadores and their acrobatic wrestling style that I've found myself collecting these figures... the truly sad part about these figures is that it's safe to say that the athletes in Mexico probably don't make much if any money from their plastic counterparts.
Now I don't have a huge collection, but I am fascinated by how it seems that every other week a new set of figures in a different style seems to pop-up, so I decided to create an archive, so that I and others who appreciate these talented athletes, can keep track of the figures made in their likenesses.
