Moonshadow vs. Kulgarr
"Ah, this should be an interesting battle indeed! Both have lost once and have something to prove.", Ultrann says to his man-at-arms, Grolsch. The crowd is almost in their seats, as they continue to perform wagers on the outcome. Many are ready to punch in their magical keypads at their seats, in case things seem to change during the course of the event. After all, why just bet once, when you can continue betting (and bet on the type of defeat too)?! "Hmm, yes, Moonshadow is indeed a tough opponent!", Grolsch states, still sporting a black eye from his encounter with the iron-fisted monk. "I hope that luck is kinder to the swarthy half-orc this time around!", chuckles Ultrann. "Begin!!" The crowd roars! With that, the half-orc suddenly appears in front of the south gate. A second or two later, his opponent is nowhere in sight. Realizing that he is probably at the east gate, he dashes with his bow to the south side of the pillar, hoping for an ambush. However, Moonshadow must have sensed his opponent's plan. He cautiously dashes southwards from the east gate, spots his opponent against the south pillar wall, and makes a beeline for him. A look of surprise fills Kulgarr's eyes as the disciplined monk lands a mighty kick to his opponent's side.
Kulgarr shakes off the powerful blow, drops his bow and takes a few steps back as he reaches for his rapier. It appears to be stuck in its sheath. He yells to his opponent, "Wait, wait!! It's stuck, let me get it out first!" The cloistered warrior will have none of that. "You entered the ring to kill me, and I will extend you the same courtesy!" He narrows the gap to the scarred one and swings a hard blow to his enemies' chest.
Although hurting, apparently Kulgarr's rapier wasn't as stuck as Moonshadow thought. With a quick move, Kulgarr thrusts his thin blade into his opponents' rib cage. Moonshadow bellows in pain, as the crowd cheers with this unexpected move. Kulgarr smiles as he pulls the blade out and takes a step back, causing Moonshadow to clutch the site of his wound. Moonshadow focuses his energy again, letting his monk training control his pain. He lets out a mighty "Kiaiiaii!!!" and lunges at the half-orc. He strikes his enemy squarely in the chest, sending the massive half-orc off his feet and onto the ground, unmoving. Kulgarr lies still, unconscious and bleeding internally.
Moonshadow raises his tattooed palms to the crowd, acknowledging their cheers at the same time as showing his humble pride of his sect. The crowd cheers more. "Lady luck frowned upon Kulgarr again, I see;" says Ultrann, "send in the medics immediately."
