Captain Phineas Bogg Mr. Bogg would live longer if he smoked and drank with a freqency less then constant. Captain Bogg once served in the United States Army in the West (killing Indians or some such nonsence). Mr. Cornelius Huffnagle Cornelius is a wealthy Philidelphia industrialist. Coming from old money, he runs a variety of small businesses and tinkers with inventions in his spare time. Cornelius is good friends with Mr. Ottmar and Ms. McCormick and allows them to drag him on their adventures. He is quite knowledgeable in the fields of optics and combustion. |

Ms. Katherine McCormick Ms. McCormick is a well known adventuress. She originally comes from Britian, but moved to Mars at a young age. She was raised by Queln riders after she was lost in the Aerian mountains. Later rejoining the human species, she returned to Earth. Unfortunately, her time with the Queln has given her views that don't quite mesh with Victorian England, so she has since relocated herself to America. |

Hauptmann Karl von Ottmar "Dynamo" Originally from Prussia, Karl served in the German army as an engineering officer. Karl was very loyal to the Iron Chancellor, and is keenly aware that his influence is waning. As such, Karl left Germany for a new life in America. There, Karl gainfully employed himself as a cattle rustler and jack-of-all-trades. Through his adventures in America, he has befriended Mr. Huffnagle and Ms. McCormick. Karl is a good shot with a rifle and has prodigious knowledge of explosives. |

Dear diary, Upon arrival I am reaquainted with my friends Mr. Von Ottmar and Mr. Huffnagle. I am also introduced to Jacob McCabe. Cyrus Grant shows us his wonderful flying contraption which he claims has the ability via an "ether propeller governor" to fly to the moon - a feat quite difficult with all other ether fliers. One of the most interesting parts of this invention is that it is powered by a large roughcut diamond. If it were of any quality at all, I may have been a little desirous of owning it. Mr. McCabe also seemed quite interested in the invention but more in a scientific sense and very knowledgeable in the field of ether flying. Later he revealed that he once worked for the Navy. Mr. Grant explained that there was a mysterious light being emitted from the dark side of the moon and that no one save a Russian flier had previously made it there before vanishing. We decide to investigate and test Mr. Grant's invention at the same time. We took off and arrived on the moon without a hitch and found the light eminating from a deep hole leading into the moon. The group decides to investigate and as we go deeper we suddenly realize we are in atmosphere and falling. We crash land on a ledge and realize the diamond has been shattered. Oh woe! But, as we are already here, we decide to investigate. On our way down we encounter several life forms. The first is fungus which tasted appaling but seemed edible in a basic sense. Then we ran into lunar bats who attempted to eat both Karl and Cornelius. Also some large rats which went after our food. Then we ran into another type of fungus - the source of the glowing. It was phosphorescent and, we learned the hard way, that it had an acidic quality to it that ate through our rope and |
