History

CHMC is a very old company (est. 1950) that started out producing heavy construction vehicles and large combustion engines. Due to its basing far from any critical or high interest locales, Centipede weathered the aberrant war and transformation of the country without much loss. In fact, starting in the mid 2060's, Centipede made a concerted effort to find employment for the waves of immigrants leaving the blight areas. Constructive use of human labor combined with intelligent robotic manufacturing caused the company to prosper.

Recently, Centipede has invested heavily in the production of an orbital machining facility for the manufacture of high tolerance machine parts (magnetic ball bearings and the like). The denziens of Peoria have become restless at this proposition fearing the loss of jobs in their town. This is a problem that Centipede CEO Decker T. Jones will have to face in the near future.
