Act Two - Kung-Fu Fighting

Cast

Phanom Rung- HK Crimelord and ex-Ministry Agent
Giorgi Solov- Triton contact and group advisor
Maurice Weh- HK actress and star of Shining City II
Joel Whitlake- Jovian Alliance pilot
Li "Ricky" Wo- Henchmen forced to work for Rung
The Gang of Three- HK crime fighting group comprised of Chun Chang, Jim and ol' Jing

Synopsis

(09-02-2120) The group is ordered to break up a Xianggang (Hong Kong) smuggling ring run by Phanom Rung. At the opening of "Shining City II", thuggies interupt a meeting with the Aeon contact. Jake hits someone with a folding chair, while Ramon shoots someone. Finding that they have been set up by the contact, the group decides to lay low and attend a banquet on the invitation from an actress that Ramon rescues. Another attack takes place in the banquet, highlights of which consist of throwing drunken prawns and running across a firefight carrying a large table as portable cover. After joining forces with three local genre hero types, an interrogation leads the group to an airport. A Jovian Alliance Trey is siezed and is found to be carrying a load of twelve clones on ice.

The plot thickens- the clones are exactly like Xingshang. After rendezvousing in Vladivostok with Giorgi, it is discovered the real Xingshang died of LAO when she was three, and that her rich lunar estate mogul father Ian MacAvoy started an illegal cloning lab to remake her. Our Xingshang is one of these clones.

All of this footage was caught on film, so the group has a seven week deadline to trace the clones to the source before they can get a hint of what is going on (due to OBC's airing). Additionally, it is discovered that Giorgi Solov is a quantakinetic working for the Aeon Trinity.

Act Three - Powerplay Luna

Cast

Ian MacAvoy- Rich lunar estate mogul and father of Xingshang
Nigel- Down and out Pitside kid
Ace Spannerson- Friendly Seventh Legionairre
Henderson- Crotechy old man who cares for the two Aberrant twins
Shan- Qin ambassador

Synopsis

(09-12-2120) The group heads to Luna to get information from Ian MacAvoy about the cloning operation. This adventure also sports a meeting with the Qin ambassador. He seems to know a lot about certain members of the group, asking Chan about his past and Zakir about the Yi.

A group known as the New Space Brigade is causing problems, especially with the Olympian electrical and grav-crystal networks. After investigating the Pit, the New Space Brigade is found to be a small aberrant "cult" started by a man called "Henderson". He takes care of two Aberrant twins who didn't know any better than to obey him. Before the group can react, Jake makes arrangements to send the two twins to an Aeon facility in Chicago. It turns out that Henderson is the 78-year-old son of the same "Dave Henderson" from the Space Brigade, accidentally left behind when they fled Luna.

When the group tracks down MacAvoy, he claims that Xingshang knows that she is a clone but that he said he had nothing to do with her cloning. However, researchers must have continued it on their own without his interdiction. He tells us to go to a "shell station" that is orbiting Europa.

Crippled, low on supplies and missing its bridge, the characters have to restore order and save the passengers.

Of course, the adventure has complications. Kessler is injured in the crash and can't fly the ship. His sister is on board on a secret mission. A Qin scientist is also on board, and the passengers don't trust him. Add in a radical terrorist, a rogue SI, and shipload of panic and the setting is just right. Act Five - The Seeking

Cast

Jessica Ford- Jump pilot for the Kraken
Damon- Local drug dealer/smuggler pawn at the Southern Cataract
Osiris- Owner of the SC who has experienced extreme trauma and thinks he is the Egyptian god Osiris
Isis- Wife of Osiris (that's actually her name!) who is a skilled nanotechnologist

Synopsis

(10-24-2120) The group heads toward the Southern Cataract, an obscure belt station, in search for clues to the clone slave ring's masters. They are sent with the JS3 Kraken, although they don't know why. After some investigation, many things are learned. The Southern Cataract was a medical station, but is now a den of iniquity. Illegal research into man-machine interface and nanotechnology is being done, primarily in an effort to repair the station's owner Osiris, who was made this way by a figure known as the Fool. This (evil! EVIL!) shadowy figure is found to be behind much of the bad doings on this station, and is highly involved with the clone ring. The group runs into Phanom Rung in the bowels of the station. Thought to be a powerful Ministry agent, his psionic attacks are quite weak and very basic, which surprises the team. He escapes, but is killed in a bizarre ship explosion. Before more can be learned, a Scarab filled with Fourth Legion troops comes to the station and takes it over. Giorgi is publicly killed, and Osiris is crippled. Without any more words, the Legionairres leave.

Act Six - Chronicle's End

Cast

The Fool- Our adversary. One of the big evil honchos we know nothing about.
Ramon Gutierrez- The real one. A bad guy.
Diego- The Norca in our party who has been impersonating the real Ramon Gutierrez
Jana and Strom Balkins- In charge of Shlangen Netz
Tyler Whitlake- The brother of Steve and Joel Whitlake.

Synopsis

(10-29-2120) A station called Shlangen Netz (a European Medical Association station, MAE) is found to be the center of the Xingshang cloning experiments. The place is raided and many clones found. Unfortunately, Ramon gets the drop on the party and kills "our" Xingshang. After a fierce battle, the real Ramon is killed by Diego. However, at the end of the battle, an aberrant Xingshang boards the station, kills all the Xingshangs but one, rips off our section of the space station, and warps it to Lunar orbit (which takes a month). The backlash from the warp blinds Chan.

At the end of the chronicle, the group has some time to relax and reflect on what happened. In our absence from reality, the OBC show was cancelled. There is innuendo that it was never designed to be successful anyway. Jake spends time with Jessica, Joeseph visits his family, Zakir brushes up on his techno, etc.

Act Seven- Bad OMENs

Cast

Brad Kirkland- CSA operative designated to aid the characters
Gunter Hoek- Kenyan/German Kostbaar employee and Trinity agent.
Cyrus Smith- UVA astronomy student
Crystal MacKormik- UVA history student, from a well-to-do family

Synopsis

(11-07-2120) With the cancellation of Psion- Life in the Field, the group is transferred to the care of Gunter Hoek, their new boss. Now based in the Kostbaar regional HQ in Kenya (a front for Gunter), the group is told to investigate an opnet hacker in the FSA. They are also told to work with Brad Kirkland of the CSA.

A conspiracy of sorts is uncovered between college students from all over the world. Tracking down most of the people turns out to be difficult as most seem to have disappeared without a trace. The truth is not known until Sa'kto Nambu of the Axum institute is found and questioned. Apparantly, the students discovered a forgotton OMEN satellite that was way out of its standard orbit. They planned to be secretly transported there (using Sa'kto's connections) and run a pirate radio station.

The characters and students rush to meet the remaining students on the OMEN satellite. There they discover the truth behind this particular sat; that is was used on Wycoff and may have fueled his nova power! However, the truth is cut short by a budjet war going on between the CSA and FSM. Both want to catch these hacker/radio pirates. A FSM frigate is dispatched to shut down the sat. In order to appear more glamorous, the frigate's captain activates the sat's defenses to give a mock fight. Luckily, Kirkland, the characters, and the students are able to contact many earthside agencies to give them support. The FSM frigate is deterred by the Fifth Legion Scarab Pheonix (as in Arizona).

Because Kirkland helped the Trinity against the FSM, he feels he cannot safely return to the FSA. He is pronounced dead and is hired by the Trinity under a new, false identity.

A Call to Arms

This series involves a group that is not the regular group. It takes place during a similar time frame, and involves global Trinity issues that both groups have to deal with (although from different angles).

Act Eight - The Act of Fear

Cast

Fulton "Stick" Granger- A heroic, selfless Second Legion pilot
Phil Blank- A disgruntled Fifth Legion conscript soldier
Francis Modesta- A neut industrial espionage expert
Sprint Centel- The group's cocky, jackass ISRAn representative
Shar Seligmann- A Woody Allen-esque Orgotek technician

Mikki Jakobs- Captain of the Tokyo Rose
Captain Edward Bolande- Capain of the Aeon Owl Versailles. A psyq hater
Lt. Zach Bush- Aeon neut VARG pilot J (I am not amused. -Zach)
Dr. Harrison- Noetic scientist on the Rose

Synopsis

(08-18-2120) This chronicle occurs during the group's first chronicle and uses an all-new cast of players. The crew is assigned to investigate an unknown L-B Venture 8 that is entering the Sol system from far far away. The Venture is ID'd as the Tokyo Rose, a freighter supposedly destroyed and insurance claimed. After a lengthy journey, the crew meets the derelict ship on the edge of the solar system. The characters stay back to support the initial scouting party, two light VARGs. One VARG pilot collapses, and is removed from his armor for evacuation by Lt. Bush. Back on the Venture 8, an investigation reveals that pilot Brown had been drugged, attacked by some injection method invisible to all available surveillance. However, the scouts were able to activate Rose's atmosphere scrubbers, and the ship is now avilable for exploration by the group. Brown eventually dies of this mysterious illness.

The characters explore the ship, running into some manner of killer robot and escaping without incident. The deserted VARG is missing entirely, including it's heavy weapon. On the bridge, computer access is spotty, but logs from the ship's doctor are located. The ship teleported just out of system to make a cargo transfer. Their Upeo wa Macho, however, disappeared (for the Esperenza incident) before the contact ship arrived. The crew decided to retreat to stasis pods for the long journey back. Most of the crew's logs were encrypted and Shar sends his agent to work on them. The characters then make their way to the cargo area where several trucks full of olaminium are discovered. Next the crew quarters are discovered where Sprint, Phil, and Shar seem to be contacted by the personal computers of the crew. Several distinct personas seem to exist in the computers, including one that sends security robots after the characters. After a firefight, the party moves on to the stasis chambers.

The chambers are obscure biotech models, subjected to an old recall but functioning normally. However, the ship is determined to stop the group, and more robots surface, one of which is armed with the VARG's weaponry. Additionally, the air is shut off. While the party holds the robots off, Shar and Francis determine that the computer is somehow drawing a personality from the sampled thought patterns of the crew from their dreamstate. The group unplugs each of the pods from the computer and start the warmup procedures. The computer loses it's personalities one by one, and finally shuts off.

The cargo is fully examined -- it is a mysterious source of olaminium that seems to have been discovered before its invention in 2115, as this vessel was teleported in 2114. Francis is determined to preserve Rose, which he considers to be a true AI. Everyone else is anxious to return. The two ships depart, with half the party guiding the Toyko Rose back.

Synopsis

(09-20-2120) The crew has to leave the Rose and head for home. Unfortunatly, the Versailles does not have enough food and air for the trip to Earth. Instead, all non-essential crew undergo Chemically Induced Bio-Stasis (CIBS) sleep, and the Versailles will re-supply at a belt station, the Southern Cataract. While in CIBS stasis sleep en route, they are intercepted by very polite pirates. The crew is taken aboard the pirate vessel, and the Versailles is destroyed.

End of the Call to Arms Chronicle

Chronicle Two

Act Eleven - Exodus

Cast

Leviathan- The sentient jumpship. Kinda like a big confused puppy

Synopsis

(11-20-2120) This chronicle picks up where the first chronicle left off (with the same characters and everything). The characters are alerted that the first jumpship (JS1 Leviathan) which was undergoing retrofitting in lunar drydock has ripped clear of its mooring and is heading for Earth. The characters are told that the original jumpship tesser (in Leviathan only) was intelligent. Furthermore, it was formatted to none other than Jessica Ford!

Rendezvous is made with Leviathan. It is learned that the UN was not retrofitting it, but rather trying to modify it to be an anti-psion weapon. It felt pain and escaped to the only person it trusted (Jessica). Leviathan is pursued by UN, UAN, FSM, Chinese, Qin, Abberants and other forces. As a battle rages around Leviathan, Chan upchucks a mini-Qin thing which goes about repairing the jump tesser. Just as the Qin corvette engages all Leviathan-hostile targets and the jumpship is boarded by Abberants and FSM troops, the Gibbs escapes and the ship jumps.

The adventure ends with the FSA publicly considering declaration of war on China and the Qin. Leviathan is gone, its fate unknown. The group is left tired, confused, and hungry. L

Act Thirteen - Finding Mr. Blight

Cast

Kip- A girl from a blight village who tags along with the group
Monstoro- Norca freak-of-nature assassin. Also appears in
Secrets at the Top of the World
Marie Kessler- Norca agent and sister to Jake. Also appeared in Blood and Ether and Secrets at the Top of the World.

Synopsis

(12-03-2120) The group is tired from the events of FiHP, but are called into action by the Trinity on behest of the Norca. A Qin diplomat's ship has crashed in the FSA's blight zone, and a rescue attempt is to be mounted (a clandestine rescue, to avoid a diplomatic incident). Two Norca agents introduced as Phil Blank and Jocelyn join the party, although Jake quickly exposes his sister's cover. The party takes a Banji Peregrine to FSA territory, avoiding the 5th Legion and landing in the blight. Encounters with raiders endears the party to a peasant village, and the group gains Kip, a girl who serves as a guide.

An injured Qin bodyguard is encountered traveling in the waste, apparently looking for the ambassador. The group attempts to communicate with and follow the Qin, but runs afoul of an FSM patrol. A firefight breaks out, but most of the FSM troops are killed by a mysterious sniper (or snipers). The search continues, and eventually the downed ship is recovered. The lone bodyguard turns out to be an assassin who attacks the ambassador. The group barely manages to kill him. The wounded ambassador is evacuated and must be removed from it's suit (We see a slug!). The Qin is then returned to Pai del Fuego, and everyone is offered Norca whores.

Act Fourteen - Signals and Flares

Cast

Randolf Carter- Cryptic even for an ISRAN, he knows neither his future nor his past

Synopsis

(12-07-2120) Signals and Flares is the second adventure in White Wolf's Passage Through Shadow adventure book. Therefore I will not post a plot synopsis.

Of interest (to Brian esp.), Jake gets shot in the head with a whistler. He is unavailable for adventuring because he is temporarily deaf in one ear.

Things to remember

Interlude (12-09-2120)

Everybody gets a few weeks to rest.

Jake left the Previous adventure early to treat his hearing problem. He gets a bio-app "hearing aid" in the meantime.

Renner and Kessler find an apartment in Nairobi to share. This is when the first Renner story takes place. Renner gets a mini-comp with a "Professor Bee" agent.

While the rest of the group is doing Twinkle Twinkle (Act Fifteen), Jake's Story One- Life of Danger takes place. This is also when Jake is proclamed an enemy-of-the-FSA for mass-murder and treason and a bounty is put on his head.

Act Fifteen - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Cast

Mikki Jakobs- Neut Captain of the Yi. For more on this character, see The Act of Fear
Tsang Mau- Ministry psycologist for the Yi
Bryan Eckland- Chief jump-pilot for the Yi
Shane Killian- KIA spatial noetics scientist
Bernice Luciente- ICE acquisitions lawyer

Synopsis

(12-23-2120) In an effort to shield the characters from *spoiler* fallout from Signals and Flares (and the ensuing UN investigation), they are sent on a scientific/PR mission aboard the newly re-commissioned jumpship Yi. The mission involves studying a magneto-star in the Aquilla system, as well as dropping off frigate sized "jump pods".

Transfer to the Aquilla system occurs without mishap. Disaster strikes when one of the "jump pods" malfunctions (supposedly from the strong stellar radiation) and implodes, killing the techs aboard it. Strange things begin to happen about the Yi. Many crew report having hallucinations, some strong enough to cause them to hurt themselves. A planetoid "vault" is discovered harboring secrets from an ancient civilization.

The mental abberrations begin to affect more and more of the crew. Ship psycologist Tsang Mau (who was also involved with the psycological treatments for the first Yi crew) snaps himself. Many of the mental blocks are removed from the origonal Yi crew (including Zakir) causing their condition to deteriorate. Things escalate when Coalition aliens are detected in the mysterious planetoid. The jump pilot steals a shuttle and heads for the vault.

The group discovers that none of what is happening is real, but rather the entire ship is caught mid-jump in some sort of jump stasis. The deep mental trauma of the jump pilot, Eckland (who was part of the survey team in the origonal Yi mission), has created a hyper-reality where strong memories and emotions are able to affect reality. Meeting Eckland on the planetoid (where he is personally massacreing the Coalition), they are able to talk him and Zakir down. Eckland then completes the jump, bringing the Yi back into reality (in the Sol system).

According to jump observers, the Yi's tesser fired, but the ship didn't go anywhere.

Cast

Randolf Carter (2)- White trash Ductran ISRAn who may have changed the future
Howard Philips- Electrokinetic assassin. May have shown up before
Sylvia Hewlitt- Al-Alif ISRAn
Shan- Qin ambassador (see
Act Three- Powerplay Luna)
Chen Jiu Mao- Ex-PC, now head of xeno-studies at the cube (see Act One- Simulations and Reflections)
Shannen Masamune- Xingshang's aunt and genetic template for clones

Giorgi-One of the last Quantakinetics, he's apparently not dead (See Act Three- Powerplay Luna and Act Five- The Seeking)
Col. Arton Gilliss- UAN colonel. May be the same as the leader of the Hamemos gang

Synopsis

(12-31-2120) The PCs are invited up to Luna by the Qin embassy, as part of the new year celebration. The team gets holiday bonuses. Score! Gunter says he will be gone until the 7th of January. They arrive early in the day on the 31st. Jake finds a mysterious message from a Randolph Carter waiting in his room. He then leaves to visit the pit, and meets the leader of the Hamemos gang (from Act Three- Powerplay Luna). He finds that the gang of kids known as the Sweeners (from Act Three- Powerplay Luna) have been murdered, and that the Fool and the President (leader of big pit mafia) were involved somehow. Meanwhile, Joe and Zackir are visited in their hotel room by a representative from the MacAvoy Corporation. It seems that Ian MacAvoy has gone missing recently, and that Xingshang's wherabouts have been called into question (Trinity has given a cover story that she boarded the Kraken bound for Khantze Le Ge). The group reunites, enhances their spiff, and leaves for the celebration.

At the party, the group is introduced to Ambassador Shen, Chen, and Otha Herzog. The proxy excuses himself, while Shen invites them to a private dinner at 10:00. The reunited group mingles until then, meeting Sylvia Hewlitt and her fellow ISRANs along the way. Howard Philips introduces himself to Jake as another representative from MacAvoy, and questions him along similar lines. Col. Arton Gilliss of the UAN military is spotted, and looks very similar to the leader of the Hamemos gang. The group finally sits down to dinner with the Qin, being served their favorite foods (Renner likes finger food). Questions come up about the blue Qin from Act Eleven- Exodus. Ambassador Shen then brings out a woman that bears a striking resemblance to Xingshang (only older), leaving while the group questions her. The woman is Sharon Masamune, Xingshang's aunt who was brought onto the evil cloning project to fill holes in the clone template genetic pattern. She reveals that Ian MacAvoy did not start the project and she doesn't who she worked for. She also revels that there were thousands of clones produced, even exempting failures and abberants (literally). The group assures her safe passage to Trinity, then leaves her with the Qin.

The group returns to the party as midnight approaches. As the holographic apple begins to drop, Zackir senses a noetic disturpance. A man tackles Jake just as the lights cut out. He apparently saves Jake from an attack, as the holo-projectors are reconfigured into a laser, striking the bar stool where Jake was sitting. A tense battle takes down Howard Miller, Jake's would-be assassin. Jake's savior is Randolph Carter, an ISRAn who has seen Jake in his visions for a while now. He feels that Jake was destined to die, but that he also had to save him. Relative calm returns for a moment before everyone feels a taint spike. Anubis, the abberant from Act Five- The Seeking, warps into the middle of the atrium and gives Herzog a cryptic message. Just then black-garbed terrorists (later determined to be FSM) descend from the ceiling, firing automatic weapons into the crowd.

The group acts quickly to disarm the terrorists. Their fire seems concentrated on the Qin, whose bodyguards quickly return fire. Renner gets shot in the gut (but the armor absorbs most of it). One of the atrium's windows is hit, and threatens to expose the room to vacuum. Before it can, Anubis teleports the room (minus the terrorists and the bodyguards) to a nearby lava tunnel. He lies dying from the taint expenditure, and talks briefly with Otha Herzog. He entreats the group to track down his daughter (and gives a mind print of her to Jake). Everyone else evacuates, finding themselves near the pit (near the same dome from Act Three- Powerplay Luna). The group proceeds to the nearest LAMP tube, meeting a Trinity action team led by Greg Leon. Responding to the massive taint spike, he demands the group show him to the nearby null zone. Everyone winces as Jake receives a taint-based telepathic message, then heads back to the cavern.

The group finds a figure standing over Anubis. It is beetle-like Xingshang abberant, last seen in Act Six- Chronicle's End. She mutters cryptically, touching Anubis's head and then teleporting the group (the characters plus Greg, Sylvia, and Randolf) to the Leviathan. Up on the bridge they meet Baka and Jessica Ford, who has merged with the Leviathan. The ship is in another galaxy, which keeps Baka from leaving. Xingshang reveals that she is aware of an organization that wishes to use her clones to create an army of teleporters. The Prophet apparently has both the Upeo Wa Macho prometheus chamber and the ability to clone humans with sufficient latency (ie: Xingshangs). The group considers the logistical challenges of stopping such an organization, and Xingshang remarks than only Giorgi could put together such an operation. Jake then reveals that Giorgi downloaded himself into his mini-comp when he was forced to dissassociate, and actives the Giorgi program. Giorgi explains he is rooted to a physical point interdependant of the expanding universe, and cannot reform his physical being. Leviathan then jumps to that point, and Giorgi reforms (as Baka, now two light months from Sol, leaves via warp point).

Giorgi and the group discuss possible leads to the Prophet. A strategy for future months is formulated, and Xingshang returns the group to the UAN, roughing them up a bit with her warp to provide a believable cover story. It is decided that the people (abberant included) who were aboard the Leviathan will form a secret association to bring down the Fool and the Prophet (and then disband). The team is left with the daunting task of organising and executing such an operation while still leading their normal lives (for cover purposes)

Things to remember

  1. Abberant Questions:
  2.  The events of this act, from the appearance of Anubis onward, surprised Otha Herzog. Why?

When Anubis first appeared, he said "all in danger, jewel not in garden. Jewel in river!" No one, not ever Otha, knows what that meant.

Xingshang has the memories of her Aescilapian clone as well as Anubis. How?

Jake Kessler is important to the whole abberant mess, and he's not telling how. How and why?

How much did we let on to our plans in front of Baka?

  3. Qin Questions:
  4.   The blue man was a special Qin, able to change the focus of the tesser's psi-disturbance. What was it?

The Qin have extensive contact with Herzog, able to, for instance, determine how the blue man could be made useful through the group, and where to find Sharren. Huh?

How much did we fuck up revealing what we knew about Mr. Blight?

Why did the FSM send a death squad in when they haven't declared war yet (still in vote)?

  5. Evil Master Plan:
  6.  The Xingshang project has been on since 2097, before there were psions. It was originally research in a taint cure through cloning. Zweidler was involved in the early stages, before he was a proxy. What's up with that?

Both humans and abberrants are very concerned with the Prophet's plans. Why?

To re-iterate, who is the Fool and the Prophet?

  7. Good Master Plan (us):

How do we communicate between cells?

  How do we recruit?

Do we let anyone else in on our secrets (proxies, etc.)?

  What assets do we have?

What is the next move (Zweidler, Shannen, FSA financial records, etc.)?

Synopsis

(01-03-2121) Mere days after Act Sixteen, Dial B for Backstory, the group is gathered together by Gunter. Zakhir is unavilable, but Jake, Joe, and Cynthia Hewlitt board the Gibbs and fly to Rio de Janero. There they meet Ted, Yoshi, and Cecilia, fresh from assignment in Mexico. The group proceeds to Kostbaar island, a small land mass within sight of the city, occupied entirely by the Kostbaar mansion. Here Kostbaar informs the group that his daughter has been kidnapped by an unknown assailant some three hours earlier. Soon a ransom demand is phoned in, for 25 million yuan delivered in seven days. The group begins to gather information, using telepathic scans of Sasha's two tigers, clairsentient delving into the room's history, investigation of the security logs, and examination of the house computer. The following becomes apparent: three intruders enter into the house unde cover of a computer hack, gassing the tigers and subduing the girl through psionic attack. The attack appears to be algesic in nature, and calls are put in for a rogue vitakinetic in the area. The tiger's jeweled collars are also stolen, so Cecilia obtains a tracer to track the collar's transmitter (using NORCA connections). The collars are traced (quite by accident) to the BioSystems warehouse, where Cynthia remotely senses their placement in a packing crate.

The group buys supplies on an Aeon credit card, and heads back to the Kostbaar mansion for further investigation. Ted discovers that the specifics of the hack: the method of intrusion is Kostbaar's radio transmission to the local opnet node, and that the hack disabled the security system for a short while. The group orignally assumes the job to be dependant on inside information, but Ted shows how a series of hacks allowed the kidnappers all the information needed. Cecilia uses her NORCA connections to buy the collars from BioSystems, and Cynthia tracks down the thief using her clairsentience. The party bursts in on Spencer Alex, but an interrogation (part psionic) reveals that he has editted his own memories. Alex uses a metasis attack on Renner, causes Yoshi to collapse in pain through algesis, and calmly walks out of the room. The group follows him to a nearby coffee shop, where they keep him busy by providing targets for his algesis (and thereby using all his psi). Eventually he is taken away by the Black Company ambulance, but not before he reveals his partners.

The group returns to the Kostbaar mansion, now aware that Sasha is being held in the basement of the ruined Spanish fort, a wing of the building. Cecilia disguises herself as Alex, and the group bursts in on the kidnappers. One brandishes a plasma pistol, however, forcing negotiations. Sasha is released on the contingency that the kidnappers are allowed to escape. Cynthia is able to track them, however, and the group heads for the Rio de Jenerio spaceport. Cecilia is able to alert spaceport guards, tying up the kidnappers until the group arrives. As an apprehension is attempted, the fourth kidnapper appears in a taxi cab, barreling towards everyone. A brief combat subdues everyone, and the group is not charged by the local constabulary.

Synopsis

(01-18-2121) Our story begins with Jake waking up in Port Au Prince. He gets a message that Renner is missing. Tracking Renner down leads to the deaths of the entire group at the hands of Ramon Gutierrez (the evil one). Ramon promptly kills everyone.

The rest of the adventure is played by Francis, Shar, Fulton, Sprint, Diego, Brad, and some Aescalapian (Keen). They had been abducted by the Norca, and sent to Far Nyumba (or so they think). They are told that Marie Kessler is a powerful Clairsentient Latent (as is Jake) and had a vision of something happening on Far Nyumba with the whole group (+Arturo and Greg). They are led by Proxy Del Fuego (or so they think) to a anthill looking temple. Inside is a tessaract thing and an evil bio-computer. The computer is subdued, and everyone thinks they are safe.

However, the whole experience was actually a simulation inside one of the secret Norca sneaky-ships (the Naiads). The story ends with the Norca Naiad freighter being attacked by chameleon suited baddies. They seem to know the secret routes of the Naiad (possible Norca leak?) and attack from a frigate that is teleport capable (Upeo clones in action?). The Naiad is desroyed and the group escapes in a little bitty ship.

(01-18-2121) Our story begins with Jake waking up in Port Au Prince. I know this is a repeat, but so was the scene. Instead of going to get Renner, Jake warns Gunter of the ambush and gets some coffee.

Act Nineteen - Writing on the Wall

Cast

Beetnik Novas- This includes Tequium, Menasaur, Atomics, and the rest.
Jonathan Tessia- The Beetnik Novas neut spiritual leader.
Giant Robotic Crustaceans- The servants of the Beetnik Novas.
Alfred Rofstain- Nova with mad time/teleportation power. Aka "Slipkick"

Synopsis

(01-29-2121) Our story begins with the team being sent on a mission to Jordan to extract an agent, Alfred Rofstain (a shady character if there ever was one). The deal goes down, but in the process a reptillian abberant is seen escaping from Israel. Oh yeah, Jok from Act Eighteen is added to the group.

Two abberants are detected at the wreckage of Keystone City (an orbital concentration camp for Novas), one of the first orbital stations (in the same Lagrange point as Mujukku). Alfred says they are related to the events in Israel (but doesn't say why, the jerk). Gunter says that Jake is very competent, but says nothing about the rest of the group (wonder why J ). Anyways, we cruise up to Lwhatever and check out the wrekage. It appears the abs took some pieces of the station that had parts of Wilder's play "Our Town" and then warped out. We investigate, but don't find too much. However, we research some spacer Mythos and find out that the Novas of Keystone has a neut spiritual leader, Jon Tessia.

We use "super stealth mode" and fly to Jon's dome in the Northwest FSA territories. He is cool, and nice if not very eccentric. We get no info.

Robotic lobsters are found on Mujuuku. They are examined, and found to be robotic life reproductions sent to delay the station's security sweep. They have been receiving transmissions and we hack into those. That leads us to Bombay. To make a long story short, we find a Nova/abberant in a warehouse, fight some more robotic crabs and have a dream sequence. It leaves us with the impression we need to find Jonathan.

We find Jon on a mountain top (not a bad climb for a 130 year old) and take him back to his dome. In the end, the whole ordeal was merely (?) a "get together" for the Novas of Keystone City. As a celebration, they launch a piece of the station over the horizon with a mini-mass driver. Then, there is a party.
