Executive Aerospace Naga

Description

The Naga is Executive Aerospace's most recent contribution to the world of executive hybrid transport. The Naga is designed to be extremely stable and solid. Flying the Naga is easy. From its flight characteristics to the real leather yoke and wood accented controls, everything about this craft screams style. The Naga also uses the ABAS (Advanced Biocomputing Avionics System) control system so the craft will "learn" a pilot's style and adapt to it.

The Naga is constructed with a crystalline Olmanium composite (as opposed to the fiber composite used in the Steelhawk). This produces a very strong and lightweight (but expensive) design. Unfortunately, this exotic material defies conventional repair methods. Standard holefixers and hole patches do not work on the outer hull. Instead, special hull patches must be used as a temporary measure with a more permanent fix performed in EA labs (or EA certified repair stations). While potentially crippling, 98% of the market for EA's vessels is Terran or Luna-based, making a quick flight Earthside quite feasible.

The inside of each craft is just as impressive as the outside. Tasteful appointments such as leather or orgo-leather upholstory, real wood accenting, and Scallop Pharmaceuticals air scrubbers make the discriminating executive feel right at home. The Steel Hawk has the familiar hexagonal shaped office common to all Hawk craft. Other than a considerable amount of new "spiff" added, little seems changed.

The Naga’s lounge is roughly cylindrical, two or three meters around. Since the craft is so expensive, this part of the ship is custom-made to the owner. Some of the pre-order Nagas have offices and extra cabin space; one even has a lounge designed by Kostbaar himself. The Naga also offers an option never before seen on a craft this size: grav-crystals. For a sizable sum, Executive Aerospace has developed a unique geometry for a small grav-crystal array that can provide up to 0.8 G in the main cabin.

Once in space, the Naga really begins to shine. It is very powerful for its size, which makes it one of the fastest ships in the sky. Control is quick and tight with no noticable drift. Of particular notice is the Naga’s performance during re-entry. There is hardly any turbulence, a problem that most hybrids have yet to solve.

History

With the success of the Steelhawk in 2122, Executive Aerospace started from scratch to improve on the design. Being a small company, EA could not custom engineer every system. So, they incorporated the latest and greatest achievements that the other major product manufacturers had produced. The Naga was released for the 2124 Nairobi fly-in with much ado.
