| The most famous Uruguayan unit during the war was the Florida Batallion. Present in Passo de La Patria, Estero Bellaco and Tuyuty, the battalion suffered great toll of casualties. Nevertheless, it remained on the battlefield until the war's last blow at Cerro-Corá in March, 1870. |
