Welcome To Linda's Universe! Keep your face to the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadow. -- Helen Keller Roots nurish, give us life and bind us safely to earth. Plant them well. -- Anonymous As children, we experience every flavor, every rainbow, and every butterfly in flight as a miracle...a gift that keeps its magic and beauty long after time has made it familiar. Then something happens along the way and we lose that innocence, that sense of excitement. It is as though something very special slips away when we come to the end of our childhood journey to enter the world of adults...And yet, if we would keep those qualities and allow the child within us to share in all the experiences that being grown up brings, if we would listen as the child within us inspires us, guides and delights us, every joy would shine with beautiful intensity, every experience would offer memories to savor...and we would have the very best of both worlds. ![]() Boy Image Copyright Successories "A Hundred Years From Now It Will Not Matter What My Bank Account Was, The Sort Of House I Lived In, Or The Kind Of Car I Drove... But The World May Be Different Because I Was Important In The Life Of A Child." ![]() "IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER" When you know you are not going to live forever you find yourself taking inventory before the store closes. If I had my life to live over I would not worry about anything ever again. No exceptions, and I would be sillier than I have been this trip. A lot sillier. I would listen to everyone's opinion and take no one's advice because somewhere it is written that happiness is far wiser than wisdom and now I know that is true. I would go to more places. I would take more chances. I would have more friends and more feelings. And when I was about to cause someone unnecessary pain I would remind myself that if life had taught me anything it is that there is a first time and a last time for everything and I would not have the time to undo that pain if indeed pain can ever be undone. Knowing what I know now I would never walk when I could fly. I would never skip desserts and every now and then I would stay up very late or get up very early just to watch the birth of a new day. When I was a child like all the children, I found joy in every moment until those much wiser than me taught me about the sorrows. If I had my life to live over I would grow older, but I would never "grow up." "I'll Never Walk When I Can Fly."
