Gingersnaps

1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup molasses


2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cloves

Mix together ingredients of the first table, stir in the flour ingredients a cup at a time. Roll cookies in granulated sugar, then place on a cookie sheet. Cook at 350 F for 10 minutes.
