SCOTTISH OAT SCONES

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/4 cups Quaker oats (uncooked)
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cream of tartar


1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 425 F. Mix together the first table ingredients. Add the oil, milk, and egg until moistened. Stir in raisins. Place about 2-3 tbsps of dough at a time onto a greased cookie sheet. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 10 scones. Serve with honey, butter, or jam.
