SCOTTISH OAT SCONES
| 1 1/2 cups flour |
| 1 1/4 cups Quaker oats (uncooked) |
| 1 tbsp baking powder |
| 1/2 tsp salt |
| 1/4 cup sugar |
| 1 tsp cream of tartar |
| 1 egg |
| 1/3 cup milk |
| 1/3 cup oil |
| 1/2 cup raisins |

Preheat oven to 425 F. Mix together the first table ingredients. Add the oil, milk, and egg until moistened. Stir in raisins. Place about 2-3 tbsps of dough at a time onto a greased cookie sheet. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 10 scones. Serve with honey, butter, or jam. |
