Why Edsa 3, is maybe the best thing  to happen in our country since EDSA 1? By Carlos Conde "Tignan niyo po ang pinagmamaktol namin!, algaan nyo po kami!" ( Look into our complaints, take care of us!) These were the words uttered by a pro-estrada rallyist at the EDSA Shrine, two days before the May 1 Seige of Malacanang. The sight of the woman on a grainy video of NET 25 Pleading for understanding was heart wrenching. It also underscroed the so called EDSA 3 was more than a gathering of drug crazed and paid crowds. To believe otherwise is to harbor the dangerous illusion that the poor will foreever be voiceless. When mostly poor filipino masses at EDSA after Estrada was arrested last April 25,2001, the initial reaction among the elite and the middle class was that these people were paid to go there.
