The Extended Day program

encompasses nursery school, extended kindergarten, and child care for children up to and including 4th grade.

Our programs provide a variety of learning experiences designed to facilitate a child's physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development. Our philosophy is based on the premise that each child is a unique and special individual with varying interests, needs, and abilities. We provide a safe, relaxed, and caring environment.

Our staff is approved by the Upper Merion Area Board of School Directors. All teachers are certified and most staff members are certified in both CPR and First Aid. Our Extended Day staff have on file the required police and child abuse checks.

We have an open door policy. Parent/guardians are encouraged to observe out programs and mutually agreeable times can be arranged for your visit. Appointments are encouraged, but not necessary.

Our staff welcomes comments and suggestions to improve the quality of care for your child(ren). When you have concerns, please bring them to the attention of the classroom teacher, who will listen and attempt to work through the difficulty with you. If additional communication is necessary to resolve issues, the program director can offer assistance. Please note that if a parent or guardian harasses or verbally abuses a staff member, the parent may be requested to terminate the enrollment of their child(ren) in the program. The program director reserves the right to terminate participation in the Extended Day program in this instance.

Please note that Extended Day programs are self-supporting. Tax dollars are not used for funding. The Upper Merion Area School District does not provide funding for our programs; however, the district does provide the locations to serve those children of our school community registered for its programs.
