And this is how Tatum came into this world
12:00pm Wednesday the 28th of November - regular Dr appt. not dialated measurements are big schedule an ultrasound for Monday to see how big the baby is.
4:00pm Monday the 3rd of December- Ultrasound - you are "still" having a girl (we already knew this)and she is at least 8.5lbs - you should see the doctor.
5:00pm Monday - Dr. Office - we have some options - 1. If you want to try a VBAC we should induce you before the baby gets too big. 2. We can schedule a C-section or 3. We could wait for things to happen naturally. The risks of a VBAC get higher as the baby gets larger (VBAC = Vaginal Birth After Cecerian sp?)
5:30pm Monday - Lets induce be at the hospital at 8:00
8:00pm Monday - Sign in at the hospital
9:00pm Monday - Start the Pitosin sp? - I am having some contractions so they start me at a really low level
6:00am Tuesday the 4th of December- Contractions finally start after a night of increasing the Pitosin every 30min. I didn't sleep much
9:00am Tuesday - Dr. arrives - I am still comfortable and at 3cm - lets break your water
9:05am Tuesday - Whoaaa - Intense contractions every 3 minutes OUCH - get me an epidural
10:15am Tuesday - Epidural guy gets there finally..... I tell the nurse that I feel like pushing - she says she better check before they do the epidural - oh my gosh 8.5cm - put the epidural in fast - cannot have a full epidural - I get the epidural "lite" to take the edge off - I am too far along
10:45am Tuesday - Start Pushing
11:59am Tuesday the 4th of December - Tatum Mahina is born - 8lbs 4oz - APGAR 8-9 she is perfect
1:00pm Tuesday - the Dr is still sewing me up I tore pretty bad but I am ok - Tatum is wide awake in Daddy's arms he is singing to her
