Original FAKE Message From Medina
Once again a reminder, following is a fake email message which Muslims all over the world have received. Do not believe this message or similar messages, they are fake.
"Please kindly read it and pass it on to whomever you can.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALL MUSLIM BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
MESSAGE FROM MEDINA:
This is true from Medina: Sheikh Ahmed has sent his news. On a Friday, Sheikh Ahmed fell asleep reading the Quran. Then he dreamt that the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH AND HIS PROGENY) was standing in front of him saying that in one week, seven thousand people died but not even one of them was a true Muslim. None did what Allah wanted.
He also said that now is a bad time. These days’ wives do not even look after their husbands; girls go around without being covered. They do not respect their parents or others, rich do not look after the poor. They do not give gifts of money or do not fulfil zakaat, pray or keep fast. The day of judgement is near. When there is a single star in the sky, straightaway the path of forgiveness will close. The writing in the Quran will disappear (vanish). The sun will lower itself to level with the earth.
The Prophet said that whoever reads this news to someone else; I will on the day of judgement make him or her a space in paradise and if someone does not believe this news to be true, will be banished from paradise. If a poor person prints and gives this news to other people, their good wish will come true. Sheik Ahmed said that if this news were not true, then his death would be as a Non-Muslim.
The Prophet said keep fast, pray five times a day, give zakaat, have respect for elders, do not lie, do not steal and give kindness to the poor. Whoever prints 35 of these and gives them out will be rewarded in three days. One person printed and gave them out; he had 3,000 profits in his business. One person did not believe this news and his son died. One kept saying that he will print it today or tomorrow but he never printed this news, he died as well.
PLEASE DO NOT THINK THIS IS NOT TRUE (DO NOT IGNORE THIS MESSAGE)
PLEASE KINDLY PRINT IT AND DISTRIBUTE IT TO MUSLIM BROTHERS AND SISTERS. AND AT THE SAME TIME SEND IT THROUGH E-MAIL, TO OTHER MUSLIM FRIENDS.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VALUABLE TIME".
What is Fake In This Message
May Allaah keep you happy and healthy. Ameen. Dear brothers and sisters, it is necessary for all of us to remove pointless residuals of this fake email message.
First of all let me express my concern that due to lack of understanding of subject matters of Quran and Sunnah, hundred of thousands of Muslims all over the world start believing in false and fake messages like the one you have just read.
Due to unawareness of Quran, not only they start believing in such messages they also spread them to other Muslims causing more and more Muslims to suffer. If Quran is close to their hearts and part of their daily life, it won’t let them believe and spread these messages. It is a high time to get involve in Quranic studies. May Allaah show us the ways to learn and understand. Ameen.
Dear brothers and sisters, whosoever be the author of this message, he has done some serious blenders even in this short message, which proves that this is a false and forged message. There are many problems in it, but I will point out few.
Problem # 1 In Message From Medina
Author of message forgot to mention who is actually Sheikh Ahmed from Medina? There are probably thousands of Sheikh Ahmed in Medina city. Which one he is talking about, we don’t know.
Also I believe if any learned Muslim writes this message, he must have started it with The Name Of Allaah or Salam. The message is started abruptly without out Bismillah or Salam which is the way in Islam to start a speech, book, letter or for that matter any work.
Problem # 2 In Message From Medina
The message says: "The Prophet Mohammed (PBUH AND HIS PROGENY) was standing in front of him saying that in one week, seven thousand people died but not even one of them was a true Muslim".
And the very first reason those seven thousand people were not true Muslims is NOT because they don’t believe in Allaah or do not pray or give Zakaat or read and follow Quran but because "These days’ wives do not even look after their husbands; girls go around without being covered".
Does this sound a first convincing reason that those 7000 were not true Muslims? "wives do not even look after their husbands; girls go around without being covered".
Allaah (swt) clarifies to His believers that who are true Muslims and who will prosper on the day of judgement. Allaah (swt) explains His believers in Surah al-Baq’rah:
"This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah. Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. (al-Baq’rah 2:2-5)"
Dear brothers and sisters, I don’t have much to explain. Ask yourself, being a Muslim, would you believe in this Ayah of Quran or some unidentified message from some unknown person?
Problem # 3 In Message From Medina
People who receive this message, usually spread it because they are afraid of statements like "One person did not believe this news and his son died". From this they conclude that if they don't believe and spread this message, they will "die" just like the other person.
Dear brothers and sisters, death is pre-written and it is in the hands of Allaah. So do not afraid of such statements. They are there just to push you to spread this false email more and more. Without the Will of Allaah, no one can die because of disbelieving in some unidentified message from some unknown person
Problem # 4 In Message From Medina
The author of message insures that "Whoever prints 35 of these and gives them out will be rewarded in three days". Only Allaah is the true, ultimate insurer and no one has the power to guarantee a profit or loss in three days.
Besides that a Muslim do not wish that his good deeds are rewarded in this temporary world rather he seeks for his rewards to be kept safe for the day of judgement. To obtain rewards on the day of judgement, one should give more and more copies of few Ayah from Quran to his friends, relatives and colleagues. Surah al-As’ar is best for this purpose.
Conclusion
Dear brothers and sisters, we do not need someone’s dream for our guidance. Teachings of Quran and Sunaah of Holy Prophet (pbuh) is enough for our guidance.
Allaah (swt) has completed our Deen and informed His believers:
"This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. (al-Mai'dah 5:3)"
May Allaah show us the ways to learn Quran – the true and last guidance from Allaah. Ameen. May Allaah also keep us safe from believing such false and fake messages. Ameen.
Wassalam,
Syed Rafey Husain.
