We  ask  that  you please keep  Fr. Malachi Martin in your prayers.
We are sad to report that Fr. Malachi passed away after suffering a stroke, on Tuesday July 27th, at 6:15 PM EST in New York.

Those of us who had the good fortune to know him, loved him dearly.
 "Love God,  Worship Him,  and  always  stay close to the  Blessed Sacrament." was his message to all that he encountered.

Father Malachi Martin fell in his NY apartment and suffered an severe blow to the back of his head on Thursday, July 15. At the hospital in New York, hey did emergency surgery to stop the hemorrhaging and there was also major swelling of the brain.

On Monday,   July 19th,   after the doctors removed the shunt which had been inserted in Father's skull to relieve the haemoraging,  he experienced seizures.    He  later suffered a stroke and was kept in intensive care.. he passed away on Tuesday July 27th, at 6:15 PM EST in the hospital. Over the past two years, Father Malachi often called to ask,   (in his typical County Kerry accent):
"Has your good bishop allowed the people of Savannah to celebrate the Tridentine Mass yet?.. Please tell them I am keeping you all in my prayers.."

Friday, July 23rd was Fr. Malachi's 78th birthday.
