Personal Info...

Although she was so called "divorced" in the beginning of Season One, it became evident in Too Tough to Die that the final divorce papers have yet to be signed. However, as far as Catherine is concerned, the marriage is definatly over and treats herself as a single woman, and should GO AFTER GRISSOM!.

Catherine has lived in Las Vegas for 20 years, and presumably worked 10 years as a CSI. She met Eddie at a club she was working atThe French Palace, and apparently he was a good guy in some respects; he would give her a lace teddy on the anniversary of the day they first met. The downside was that he liked it rough, and he cheated on her, which was the whole reason for the divorce.

They have a young daughter, Lindsey. Once when Catherine worked late, Eddie filed a complaint with Family Services against her about parental neglect(what was he thinking?). Warrick stood up for her and it appears Catherine maintains custody of their daughter. She does worry about her daughter, who tends to mimic her mother. She admitted that if she had to, she would do anything to protect her child, and what mother wouldn't?

Catherine suffers Eddie's presence, for the most part, because he is her daughter's father. It must be difficult as he cheated on her, had some naughty fun with a dancer in a back alley, and took a second mortgage out on their house without her permission! I dunno about you guys but I think he's asking for it.

Catherine could be considered the most open of the CSI crew, as she probably saw a lot during her days as a dancer, and admitted to one showgirl that... "Turned on by the mystery and the intercourse. I've been there," when discussing a case. As well in Fur and Loathing she admitted she dated the Mascot to a football team;

Dutch was his name

The breath of your social experience amaze me as Grissom would say.

She has a sister (name and age unknown) who drives a blue van and has a son named Jeremy, whp was with Lindsey in the Pilot episode.

We've seen her date once, no wait twice. She met Paul Newsome, a district engineer, at the site of a building collapse in $35K O.B.O.. She argued constantly with him, and then several episodes later in Justice is Served, she actually went to his home for some comfort, so apparently they are dating... or something, then he goes away again for awhile and reappears in Scuba-Doobie Doo but at the time there seems to be some tension between the two love birds.

Second of the men, sadly is not Grissom :o( is a nightclub owner, they met while Catherine was investigationg the crime of Michael Trent in Early Rollout after she got into a heated argument with Grissom...

Write this down, I haven't had intercourse in 6, no 7 months!"

"How can I help?"

Too bad it didn't work out between her and the club owner, but it must have been like deja-vu all over again when she walked into the club and saw him cheating on her with one of his waitresses in Viva Las Vegas. I cried when that happened, and when she left the club she should have went over to Grissom's and said "I should have told you earlier, I love you" and you know the rest...

Personality-wise, Catherine is a very strong individual. She's dedicated to her job, loyal to her friends, and not a person you'd want to cross. As a mother, she has sometimes let her personal feelings influence her feelings toward a case as in the cheating spouse in Pledging Mr. Johnson and the murdered child in Justice is Served. However, she doesn't lets those feelings affect the outcome of her work, as shown by how she handled the case of Eddie. She has made assumptions about cases when she's begun work, but if evidence proves it wrong, she will follow the clues to the proper conclusion. Catherine has a headstrong attitude that can sometimes make her impatient, such as when she and the rest of the team had to interview uncooperative airline passengers in Unfriendly Skies.

Although she will go to great lengths to protect her best friend Grissom, and on that note she should clue in and DATE HIM ALREADY! This was definatly proven when she shot and killed serial killer Syd Goggle in Strip Strangler, she had no regrets,

Never doubt and never look back that's how I live my life..

I admire that, Grissom replied, and I swear to god she blushed!

I wouldn't look back either, she saved the man she LOVES! but won't admit she does, but I mean come on it's so obvious, going to see him when he goes in for surgery and gives him a hug it's so sweet now why can't they just say right there,

"I love you Gil, I've always loved you"

"I love you too Catherine"

Those three little words I LOVE YOU must not be in their vocabularies, although it is when they are with people that aren't each other? Ahh it's confusing I just wish they would say it and get it over with, don't you agree? PLus at the the end of Early Rollout when Catherine is about to leave i swaer Grissom was checking out her butt! Go look over your DVD's and try adn prove me wrong! Muwhaha!

Work History

Catherine earned a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Las Vegas, and is currently a CSI Level 3. She is the second most senior (after her secret lover Grissom) CSI at the night shift in the Las Vegas Criminalists Bureau. Before she became a forensics expert, she once worked as a dancer at clubs such as the French Palace, and according to Catherine in Slaves of Las Vegas,

I wore nothing but skin. However, that job is very short-term, and she loves being a Criminalogist instead.

Catherine doesn't believe that forensics is just pure science; she likes to know the why of cases, not just the how. However, she doesn't worry that technology will make her job obsolete. She's active in keeping up education-wise with her job, and attended a seminar/conference at the American Academy in Chicago as well as fighting for her yearly test that is on appeal (don't worry she'll win!). She was offered Grissom's job after he'd upset the Sheriff, but she prefers that any promotion she receives be on merit, not because Grissom is,

"politically tone-deaf."
