"A true recreation of the original working bulldog" |
| This is an old Roman day Bulldogge, the Bulldogge of yesterday, the working Bulldogge of today. The breed was virtually extinct at the end of the 1800's. A reconstruction has been accomplished through a family collaboration that has spanned more than 110 years. Mr. Hermes himself has dedicated more than 50 years to the development of the breed. |

This is not an American Bulldog or Pit Bull Terrier. This is the standard of a true working English Bulldogge. This reconstruction has speed, power, agility and can withstand temperatures ranging from 90°F to - 50°F below zero. This improved Bulldogge does not have the health topics of your English Bulldog and is not prone to the genetic hip and eye defects of other popular breeds. Their hunting drive, intelligence and flexibility is overwhelming. |

Hermes Bulldogge's have been known to top out at weights of 150lbs. with a head size of 30 inches or more. Not only are these dogs huge, they are also correct. They are not like some Bulldogges you see with oversized heads and no rear. The Hermes line has been consistanty producing correct working Bulldogges for years and is the foundation to countless kennels including some famous American Bulldog kennels. |

Southern Comfort Olde's is not trying to recreate what the Hermes family has taken so long to develop. We are just upholding their standards of the true Working Bulldogge by selective and limited breedings. |

Special thanks to DJ and Gloria for their guidance with the breed and giving us the opportunity to own these great dogs. |
